Anyone knows where I can get info on how to edit the steer.ksanim files? Would swapping files between mods with similar steering wheels/degrees of rotation work?

I tried swapping files between mods and I fixed the shifting animation in a Ferrari 488 Pista mod that way (paddle shifters).

Any good tutorials online?

Just replace the preview.png with a transparent one (erase the track outline from the .png)

like this (or just use this):
https://mega.nz/#!rDRmgQzY!jp8XYEpTp_yGWZnOElGyHmArHrSmXafek_CjKi0ujKM

Hmmm but I still have to have an outline according to CM

I just want to use these for my tracks with no outline

anyone else had their drivers not being visible after the newest version of shader patch? i can see them in cm, but they are gone in every car when loading a race. "Hide Driver" is not activated.

Spielberg Historic v2.0 by Zwiss at F1C

http://www.mediafire.com/file/ka4jzctorzh8iut/spielberg_hist_V2.0_fixed.zip/file

Updates v2.0
- new tarmac is replaced with with old tarmac in 74 version
- grass is greener, looks more like Austria now
icon_smile.gif

- sponsor logos added and changed to the brands of that era.
- sponsors added to the pit building
- sponsors on the control tower changed
- some materials tuned(window glass etc..)
- modified surfaces.ini
- used crowds from Legion version
- New collision walls
- adjusted the start bridge
- some improvements for better FPS (deleted double meshes, ...)
1974:
Armco is grey now
New pit building deleted (it wasn't there at the time)
Modified pit entrance
1977:
Sponsor on pit wall
I used the people and a grass texture of the Legion version.

For some reason :
I did a clean installation and get:

ERROR: spielberg_hist TRACK NOT FOUND

Deleted and reinstalled, still get the same. Any ideas?

------------------------------------------------------
Edit: changing the track folder name to 'spielberg_hist2' seems to have solved it.

new link has fixed this

Not sure I understand what you are looking for.
If you don't want an outline, use the one in my DL to replace the outline.png in the UI.
CM then thinks there's an outline and that's it.

Tracks with no outline ? All tracks have outlines (or you can produce one for them, as long as there are AI files present).

Ah, that may be a better idea than changing the folder name - configs won't install automatically from CM if the folder name is different.
Need zwiss to confirm which is the better option.

Edit: changing the name of the kn5 to match the folder gives a LOT of graphical issues.

see above, now fixed

Yes but I had that weird result from doing that.

I wonder why he didn't just name it Osterrichring '77 & '74

Ahhh ok I did it wrong then. Thanks

Here's what I was trying to do. Mission accomplished

RSS's day-glo racing suits look ludicrous in the new GT-N mod. Bright yellow overalls AND bright yellow boots looks utterly ridiculous in VR, like they are glowing from within, especially in the supposed dark shadow of the footwell. Whoever designed them needs to dial it back 50%.
I never thought I'd ever be wishing for that boring white Sparco default to return.

Here's a more subtle dark grey Sparco suit for a far more pleasant cockpit experience. Drop it into each skin folder and overwrite when asked.

Yes it should do, same donor track so no point having triple versions.

Ok sounds good. I was working on organizing some of your vast catalog today. I made a Interseries badge and I'm trying to come up with some cool period correct previews based on race programs that are so far coming out a little stretched :banghead:. Your Warwick Farm is 1968 correct?

The other skins I have installed show all kinds of 'solutions': mostly, when a logo is placed there, the Porsche GT3R logo has been removed. With some skins, you can see rests of it, some not. Others have replaced it etc... Does not bother me too much, just thought it would look nicer without the Porsche logo over the Total sticker.

Btw:
Looking at the Alpine A110 GT4, I noticed a strange object (part of a brake caliper ?) attached to the rear fenders (both sides):

View attachment 838360 View attachment 838361

Anyone else noticed this ?
Just asking because I also tend to have rocks/boulders in the pitlane of Area51, where nobody else seems to have that...

I also have a problems with caliper rotating 90° in game... while it's perfectly fine in the model and I redid the dummies from scratch... damn it!
It's the only issue holding me from releasing the new car...

Both thesebrake caliper issues could be caused by mistakes in the suspensions.ini within data.acd

At the very bottom of the suspensions.ini is a section to define graphics offsets of suspension components - if here is defined a wrong value parts will be displayed in strange places - check if these offsets are correct.

If they are correct and still issues persist, have a look in 3Dsimed that suspension components are properly placed (perhaps part of the car model are defined correctly but suspension components are defined with a rotation or offset that for some reason does not translate well when exporting the model either as an fbx to make final changes in kseditor or directly exporting to kn5 (and botching up the positions / offsets / rotations of these objects).

First, I would check the suspensions.ini and watch the car in custom showroom if corrections apply properly - if it doesn't work, check the car out earlier in the workflow in 3Dsimed / kseditor.

I was searching for these tracks to see if they existed for AC but found nothing..

Kassel-Calden GTR2
Casale Monferrato RF1
Keimola GTR2
Osterreichring, Zeltweg RF1
Wunstorf GTR2?
Ulm-Mengen
Colmar-Berg
Siegerland
Erding

Guy's , was their a fixed Ai file floating around for the 1975 Interlagos track reboot? I was having some issues with the Ai just stopping and staying parked in the middle of the track.

@Electroforce.........there is a 1979 Osterreichring reboot track. I've never heard of any of those other tracks.

Hello friends

I am looking for the mod Yugo Trophy and the Yugo Trophy Carbon both if possible for free is what a nice person would have that thank you

Here is a Beta of Killarney, South Africa. It's a BTB convert so it is what it is. However some of my Material values are pretty dodgy, so if anyone can improve those or suggest a way I can learn to do those properly please do so.
Thanks. Nice little layout. Decent feel to the track surface too. It's already better than a lot of mod tracks out there, especially rF conversions.
One thing - hot lap starts you on grass in the middle of the track somewhere.
