I don't mind encryption at all, but at least make it so the car still looks good in the showroom or make it posible to make nice preview images for them.

I agree, I have Content Manager OCD and I just can't have different looking previews

No, it's ugly, massive anime billboards that cover all of the buildings, some giant statues, really bad tree lines. It does barely remind me of the original.
Not that Grand Valley or Trial Mountain are any better...

I hope CM gets an update to read encrypted kn5 soon. That would solve all of our problems!

It has to happen, and it 's bound to happen.
And everyone will be able to open the model, improve it, and share it with others.
Just like the one who encrypted it opened the FM model. He liked that it wasn 't encrypted, didn 't he? So why did he steal someone else 's model - encrypt it?

Well actually... some FM models are encrypted. FM7 specifically from what I recall.

Is it possible to export alignments from GT4?
The circuits shown above are not like the original tracks from GT.
But on the real tracks from Granturismo I would love to chase.
And if Trial Mountain, Grand Valley, Tokyo Route 246 are - fun, good memories of GT, other, real race tracks from the GT4 could fill in the gaps in the AC. For example Fuji, Twin Ring Motegi, Tsukuba, Suzuka - in GT4 it is lasersсan. All the fashions of these trails for AC are inaccurate, and no one is doing their conversion. They are in FM7, also lasersсan, but I also didn 't meet their envelope in AC. After scanned versions in GT and iRacing - driving on inaccurate tracks in AC there is no desire. Even if it 's an envelope from Codemasters.. They are beautiful but wrong.

Probably a dumb question but does the whole file need to be encrypted or is it possible to leave part of it open for showroom and presets for example? Showroom and presets are a big part of the game for me personally.

Last VRC mods are also encrypted, you can’t open model in 3dsimed or unpack .kn5 in CM... but custom showroom or update preview like you want work fine !
