Also: there is no working screens_stflow present in the extras folder, it's just a normal.
I tried (also not hindered by knowledge) to add the sx_lemans_rceday_screens_stflow.kn5 from the previous version, but then I get empty billboards :lol:
I just unzipped 'screens_stflow.zip' from the '_extras' folder into the main track folder. Worked for me.
Ditto with 'helis_stflow.zip' to get the animated helicopter blades.

Instructions could be better for this, I agree. I imagine quite a few people are confused.

(I've no idea about the flashing balloons - sorry!)

I did the same for both helicopters and the screens. Helicopter blades worked fine, screens did not.
I now deleted them, installed again, also deactivated and reactivated stflow in JSGME and now they do work... very strange.

Dang...I had my hopes set on you regarding the balloons :gtpflag:

Sometimes with track skins you have to tick-untick-tick the box before they'll activate, so maybe it's something similar here - maybe CM didn't realise you'd activated the screens, especially if you hit 'Try Again' on the dialogue screen instead of 'Go' on the main screen. I've had this before. Sometimes changes aren't triggered in CM without a mini 'reset'.

(for example, I just had to close CM and restart it before three new skins for the Pantera would show up at all)

I have the habit of closing / reopening CM each time I make a change.
The animated screens not working was imo caused by something that got borked in stflow. Deactivating and reactivating in JSGME did the trick I guess...
 
use included track config, or the github one, its working without strange baloons or red camera lights; and make sure you dont have an old config laying around somewhere

track update comes with config in "ac\ext\config\tracks\..."
maybe you have an old one in "ac\ext\config\tracks\loaded\..."

this is a csr 2 model these models are very hard to convert into ac why? because the don't have gauges and i don't know who in this forum can make gauges for csr 2 models i don't know how rtm manages to make them.
There is also another 3D model where you can extract the gauges
 
Does anyone have this? It's the last time I'll be asking, because I've given up trying to get it now. Someone must have it, surely?

 
I want to replace some common sounds in AC with mine.
Replacing files in assettocorsa\sdk\audio\ac _ fmod _ sdk _ 1 _ 9\Assets\common
Open an example of a fmod project from the SDK, export, and get bank files.
I replace common.bank in\common\assettocorsa\content\sfx, and I get new sounds in the game.

But when I compare the contents of the my common.bank file and the original one from\common\assettocorsa\content\sfx - there are differences.
Example sdk is missing a beep.wav file

I tried to add it to the Assets\common folder, it appeared in the project fmodstudia, but when exported to .bank - it does not appear.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do to add this file to .bank? If you don 't, can the game one day issue a mistake? I don 't remember hearing that sound in AC, but what is it for?

I would like to add in common.bank files Skid.wav and skid_ext_mono.wav. In GUIDs.txt of the car folder to specify the path to it. Or create a separate mysound.bank for alternate sounds. Is this supposed to work?
A few pages previously talked about caterham, which has a good tyre sound. I liked it more than the standard sounds, too, I 'd like to replace them for all my cars, while not touching the rest of the sounds.

Yes, nice car and video BUT I think that the AC mod user base (all of us) should denounce these encrypted mods and show no interest and avoid supporting and/or promoting them. This is something that a big company would do and should not be tolerated by some paranoid two-bit modder. I don't care how good the mod is, this is B.S. and let's make sure that this doesn't become the new normal.

And tbh I could not do the job of a moder, it has to be hard, I would think. And certainly I can't understand the reasoning behind encrypting the cars, is it because they are afraid of someone stealing their model? I really don't understand.

I guess they forgot that if Kunos encrypted AC in the first place then they would not exist as modders and would be without their hobby that they obviously love.
 
Is there a way to dial down the level of smoke in CSP? It seems I can only have it on or off. When using the new SX Le Mans with Smoke and Dust enabled, it's like driving through a brush fire. I like the effect, I just want to dial it back. Seems to be tied to Dust which I also like but would like to dial back as well. Also, what does the Extra Heating slider do?

With this method, Assetto is dead ... but luckily there aren’t many of them.
I think there are too many jealous people in the assetto corsa community, we give free a mod and it's never enough.

Or if you’re not a member of a clan, you are ignored.

And now, people are crying for that.

Great update by the way - Concerning the custom 'digital racing flags' I've installed the LM7 update on my sons PC as well as mine including Masscot's animated screens, all seems to be working fine but I'm unsure whether this makes any difference - On my sons PC the digital racing flags are green, on my PC they are flashing red..... No old config files that I know of as I cleared 'loaded' etc etc...
 
in "Practice" mode they are indeed red, thats normal, in "Race" or "Hotlap" or "Trackday" they should work fine

edit: Trackday is red too, idk why the patch does it, but its not a config problem

''their model'' i think Polyphony might want to have a word with them and whats whats up with the its a free mod and it should be encrypted bull?
many people who convert cars into ac do it for fun and let other people experience their project for free.
 
open "assettocorsa\extension\config\particles_fx.ini" in an editor and lower this:

if you remove the line

you can even change it in CM options
Thank you for the reply! If you are in a generous mood, is there a way to get rid of the Zombie cars? Cars that crash and limp around the track. They do not pit or retire, but act as rolling hazards for the balance of the race.

Anyone knows where in CM is the option to disable automatic rain/wiper control, I simply can't find it anymore and the app inside the game doesn't work if it is set to disabled, it always reverts back to auto. Thnx
