Ok here it is, at 4am in the morning im finally finished with possibly the best car ive ever done. (my favorite atleast)
https://mega.nz/#!8d9AhK7C!OznGVxhTAzi59Fdep2EsKT4khVldgo1Y9U8HWLG-IfA
Aston Martin Vantage V8 AMR Pro!! (i did a little 3D work on it too for bigger splitter/tires)

View attachment 878159 (here's the real car for reference i did my best to make it like that)
Details: Its a completely different car than the GT12, i built a new motor from scratch to get the exact horsepower (with drivetrain loss) as aston listed it as. new suspention/ very new drivetrain/ best tire model ive done yet/ new aero and more!
Plz give feedback good or bad!

Thanks for that car. I like it a lot. Under braking, it oversteers (I like that) but not enough to be impossible to catch. And you can also manage your braking to avoid that oversteer. Tested on Nurburgring gp and Mugello.
Never driven the real one so I can not say if it's realistic or not but in AC, it will be one of my favorite.

A good reference on Aston Martin Vantage AMR Pro here on GTPlanet: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/aston-martin-vantage-amr-pro-2017.354371/

Guys, I'm working on a skin for the Aston Martin AMR PRO released by @megolito but was wondering if there's a way to remove the GT12 badge from the rear of the car as the model is using that mod as a base.

Also if anyone wants my latest GULF livery for his GT12 I'll post it up for you.

Tried to do this one but struggling to get some of the finer details correct. Also need to work out how to make carbon panels for the roof if anyone can offer their assistance.

I can't help you with your problems, sorry. Just wanted to tell you you're missing a lot from a game I myself would have already forgotten if it wasn't for CM or the shaders patch.
give it a try
I 've had CM since he came in. I really appreciate what he 's doing. And from time to time I run it to take advantage of some features. But I 'm trying to have only those improvements for AC that either don 't affect FPS or make it higher, but not the other way around. Many of the innovations that CM brings make AC better, yet downgrade FPS. Besides, every new version of SOL causes problems - someone has purple clouds, other holes in the road, etc. I have been manually adjusting AC for a long time to have a beautiful picture and acceptable fps, and now I am simply afraid that by trying to use CM with all its innovations, I will ruin this balance, and get a decrease in FPS. Once I tried to install graphic mods (even before the appearance of CM), after which I had to remove AC and re-install all mods...:)

I really wish I'd bookmarked a CSP/Sol/settings combo I had a while back that sent my VR performance through the roof. I was getting more than double the frame rates I currently get. I've no idea which releases it was though. I'm sure I posted in this thread about it at the time. Maybe I should trawl back through it and I might get a clue from the date.
It'd be missing all of the recent innovations of course, but I'm not sure I'd miss some of them (eg. 3D grass) in VR anyway.

@Turnup

I perfectly understand you and I’m on the same way.

I was an early adopter (geek) of a lot of things in hardware and software... I learned to preserve my nerves and here I am ! ^^
The speed of my life helped me a lot too.

So, I use CM with satisfaction but to my hand, sobriety is now my thing in hardware and software.

Like you and even if I wasn’t often the main problem between the chair and the PC (like You I guess), I got enough annoying problems which ruined my pleasure time.

SOL is afraid me I confess it and if I still impressed and interested by awesome graphics, I preferred secure my game without too much things to solve or waiting for a solution.

When there is another CSP, I try it and if I felt not confident with it, I return to the "secured one".

For example, sophisticated grass is not my thing and as I ever said to my son "I’m concentrated on the track, not around" but sure It’s cool in replay or screenshots.

Cheers ! ;-)

Thank you dude.
Edited to ask if this is a similar thing to how you remove track objects?
Is there a way for a dumbass like me to find object names on a car?
Yeah, it´s pretty much the same if not even way easier. :)
Just open the car in CM, click on object to hide (it´s only hidden not removed, thats for I meant quick´n´dirty ;) ), copy the name of the object and hide it in that ext_config.ini
For example to the hide that AssettoGarage badges put there:
Code:
HIDE = AM_VAN_GT12_BOOT_LODA002, AM_VAN_GT12_BUMPER_R_LODA_SUB2, AM_VAN_GT12_LIGHTS_LODA_SUB2,
instead of only
HIDE = AM_VAN_GT12_BOOT_LODA002
and you get rid of them, too. :)

Sounds easy enough. Nice one :cheers:

@slider666 Just a quick one but if I click on the object and it says this line in the path AM_VAN_GT12_BUMPER_R_LODA\AM_VAN_GT12_BUMPER_R_LODA_SUB2\AM_VAN_GT12_BUMPER_R_LODA_SUB2

Do i need to put all of that in the config?

Oops hang on I was clicking the 3 dots to get the path name but I figure you just need to copy the name in the box in CM and not click the 3 dots - is that right?

Also does it only show them hidden when in game?

Can anyone help please. Attached my log and the crash is listed at the bottom.

Strange thing is, this is a mod car I am making which works fine on my surface tab but causes this crash when I put on my sim rig.

Car loads to the pits but crashes when i press the steering wheel icon to launch. Must be something simple as it works on my tab.
Log mentions renderHUD as the error if I am reading it right.

Also the log near the top states aaquality=0.
Does anyone know what drives that as I thought I had most things maxed?

Have you changed pp filter? I had a default oculus one and my issues came from that being overwritten.

Sorry, I'm just not on my desktop, will take a look later. But yes, in game only. Iirc just right click and copy name of objects. Not the path. More later. :)

I think that could be app related. Try disabling all and going from there.

That's cool, I got a bit confused as to why it wasn't hiding those objects but when I looked at your pic I figured it was in game only. As for the path name it's all good now. Thanks for your help though :cheers:

Np, I just took a closer look now. Click on object to hide in CM Showroom, on the right sidebar select the "Name" of that object, CTRL+a and CTRL+c to copy it, put it into the ext_config.ini and it´s in game hidden. To remove it completely you have to edit with it an "real" 3D editor as KsEditor, 3DSimEd, Blender, Sketchup or 3DSMax ...

Edit: doing it this way imo don´t affect online racing, as you don´t modify the car itself, for example Kunos cars can beeing modified and enhanced with lights etc. and you can race it online anyway. :)

Awesome. I'm happy with just hiding these things as I don't have the first clue how to do anything in 3d editors so this is like a cheaters way to do things and I can live with that lol.

@slider666 maybe you can help me with that: I have hidden some wall adverts at Nurburgring GP since they were annoying me due to the lazy convert from Kunos (they had double textures from the BMW bridge). Now the score tower is kind of flowing in the air due to the fact it is no longer hidden by these walls and it became visible (see my screenshot). I don´t have 3DSimED but would it be possible to lower the object without touching the big buildings to which this is connected?

I totally understand...but. You can simply untick weather in CM to lose SOL and unclick CSP to go back to pure AC.. i do it off and on with weather a lot.

Almost there with the ‘GT Sport’ feel, this time with ACR’s SF90

Just out of curiousity, why in the world would you want anything in Assetto Corsa to feel like GT Sport? GTS has the blandest non- feel FFB of the whole lot in the genre. The tracks are smooth as glass, there's little to no weight transfer and little to no elevation feel. Is it capable of taking away all these feedbacks to reach something similar to GTS?
