Sure looks an awful lot like the Noble M600 on Assettoland.
BTW, Assettoland seems to be gone at the moment. I hope it's only temporary...

Anyone have any tips on how to enable headlights and brake lights on mods?
headandbrakelites.jpg

I have several Trans-Am series mods, mostly by AC Legends, some of which have working headlights but non-funtioning brake lights and vice-versa, working brake lights but non-functioning brake lights as in this image. All expert advice appreciated.

Glad you like the KA any issues reply back to me dont try fix it and share here plz thats all i ask :)

To be honest the default skins are all good enough that I probably won't make any for it but I'll check the video out if I change my mind. And yeah I'm loving this little rocket...great fun on any track I've tried so far.

Extract data.acd, search light.ini, and go goffin around. You should understand.

Thanks. That's what I did before my post but wasn't sure what all the settings meant. So for example here's the lights.ini for the Mustang. The taillights are off and the brakelights seem about as bright as the tailights should be with no brakes applied. How should I change the appropriate values?

First take a car that works and compare.

One more question kind sirs. What do LIGHT_1, LIGHT_2, LIGHT_3, etc. correspond to?
Is there a source where I can find all these parameters defined?

It says in the "NAME" description. Every light that a car has, whether headlight, brakelight, turnsignal or numberplate has a separate code paragraph referencing it.

Your last question there is the freekin billion dollar question when it comes to Assetto Corsa. There are modding forums on Assetto's website that you could spend days reading. Could probably lose a months time lost in there but quite informative.

In the gt4_audi_r8, if you want the center mirror to be recognized and adjustable with real_mirror, change MIRROR_C with mirror_c.

[MIRROR_0]
NAME=MIRROR_R
[MIRROR_1]
NAME=MIRROR_L
[MIRROR_2]
NAME=mirror_c

Load the car up in CM and click on the objects name that is how you find the name

[LIGHT_0]
NAME=OBJECT NAME

Thank you Apexxer. They show up as follows in the lights ini but with apparently only 2 states, on or off, which is fine for brakes on or off. But what I'm trying to achieve is for the tailights to light when the headslights are on and for them to be brighter when the brakes are applied. They come on with the brakes but not brightly and are off at all other times regardless of headlights. Could it be that another tailight object is needed for that to happen?

Yeah, afaik if you have brake light that also functions as a tail light you add OFF_COLOR to a [BRAKE_...] and a lower rgb intensity.

e.g.
[BRAKE_0]
NAME=REAR_LIGHT
COLOR=150,0,0
OFF_COLOR=20,0,0

So ive been compiling more and more data on the Toyota Eagle MKIII so that i can make it the best possible car i've done yet, here is my research so far. if anyone can find more and add to it, you would only be making the car better. and i will add you in the credits, just sign your name in the bottom of the text doc if you help out and want to have your name in the description.
This is just a Text document like notepad pretty much, nothing big.

if you do add to the Research data make sure it is for the Eagle MKIII (MK3) in its double decker form. not the daytona model. it looks like this
upload_2020-1-25_3-49-22.png That was the highest downforce wing ever created for the eagle.

Even if you dont plan on adding to the Data, but you love old racecars, read that text doc, its not long at all and its amazing the specs on this car. like this should be better than the porsche Shortail and the 787B if its done correctly. i wasn't a big fan of old cars untill i started this project and read how unregulated old cars were. they were proper fast back then and very Clever. im only 26 yrs old so it just wasn't my time period and now i'm fascinated

And for me, one of the most important bits of info for sim racers to note...

real life Driver said:

“The faster you drove it, the more down-force it had, (Driver note)
and it showed up on the stopwatch every time"

It had carbon-carbon brakes and a wide Goodyear tyre with a lot of grip.

:D
