Yeah, afaik if you have brake light that also functions as a tail light you add OFF_COLOR to a [BRAKE_...] and a lower rgb intensity.

e.g.
[BRAKE_0]
NAME=REAR_LIGHT
COLOR=150,0,0
OFF_COLOR=20,0,0

An important note for this is that the above will only work if you have the following at the top of your lights config file (version 2 might also work, can't remember):

[HEADER]
VERSION=3

So ive been compiling more and more data on the Toyota Eagle MKIII so that i can make it the best possible car i've done yet, here is my research so far. if anyone can find more and add to it, you would only be making the car better. and i will add you in the credits, just sign your name in the bottom of the text doc if you help out and want to have your name in the description.
This is just a Text document like notepad pretty much, nothing big.

if you do add to the Research data make sure it is for the Eagle MKIII (MK3) in its double decker form. not the daytona model. it looks like this
View attachment 884619 That was the highest downforce wing ever created for the eagle.

Even if you dont plan on adding to the Data, but you love old racecars, read that text doc, its not long at all and its amazing the specs on this car. like this should be better than the porsche Shortail and the 787B if its done correctly. i wasn't a big fan of old cars untill i started this project and read how unregulated old cars were. they were proper fast back then and very Clever. im only 26 yrs old so it just wasn't my time period and now i'm fascinated

Love cars of this era. Added some additional sources that include tire dimensions. Very much look forward to your final product. This car definitely deserves the attention.

Brilliant!! That was the final piece of the puzzle, I couldn't get the on/off colors to work until I added the header. What a great community this forum represents. :gtpflag:
So far I'm just at the mod/fix existing mods stage. Hopefully with continued help like this, I'll progress to the point where I can contribute mods of my own 💡

As an editor rather than a creator I find one of the most bizarre and frustrating things about the AC modding community the amount of over-modding a particular model gets for seemingly no reason.

The 488 Pista is just the latest example, I think there's already about 3 or so out there and from what I've driven, the ACR version is absolutely fine, better than that even, it's a genuinely good mod. But then Zari is also releasing a version, while in the background BZ Works is also remodelling and reworking the car. I saw on Facebook as well, someone is working on a 1998 Porsche 911 GT1... a car that is original content from Kunos themselves.

I know modders have total license to do what they want, but come on guys, have some bloody imagination! Look at the list of cars that still, sometimes very oddly has seen no conversion to AC, Corvette C5? (despite around 300 C6 variants...) 2018 TVR Griffith? Maserati Coupe?

(As this is the internet and someone will no doubt take this as a deeply personal insult, this is said with tongue firmly in cheek, I'm of course grateful for the efforts of all modders :P)

And as I posted earlier a Ferrari 275 GTB sure would be nice in stock and race versions, especially since most of the physics could probably be based off the existing Kunos Ferrari 250 GTB.

Sounds like you're where I was around 5 months ago and I remember this very thing annoying the hell out of me until I figured it out :cheers:

I would say everything gets easier as you work out how to fix more things, problem I find is when I figure out how to achieve something new, I then end up going back through my catalogue and applying the same fix to older 'finished' mods. I expect I'll finally have caught up to a point of satisfaction in around 18 months, work permitting.

Hello guys!

Do you know any up to date Nissan GTR-LM lmp1 mods? I'm fascinated by this car and I would love to drive it, but I can't really find any good version with a V10 tire model

Your best bet is the URD LMP1 pack. It has the GTR LM and a bunch of other prototypes. It's on sale right now too.

It might be a payed mod but it's worth the extra cheddar for near-Kunos quality content.

Ya got me, that's exactly what I'm doing, applying fixes I learn to older, favored mods.
At the risk of wearing out my welcome, anyone know how to eliminate the very annoying relections on the chrome vent window while in driver's view at the left of this image?

Go to CM and open the showroom and look for the material you want to edit (in this case "chrome"); then go to "change values"

and set ksSpecularXP to lower than 300; most of the case a value of 50 works good. Click on save and you´re fine.

He provided an option from free garbage. You get what you pay for.
You bought AC, whats a few bucks for a quality mod?
Not saying pay mods don't deserve it, I have some of them. But $5 is serious money in where I'm from and I'm not kidding.
I bought AC and all its DLCs on Steam with equivalent of $3.30 in regional currency. It was on sale of course. But still $5 here buys some food, household necessities etc. We earn a lot less then EU and the USA. I relate to RemoveKpop.

Thanks for this. I wish more mods came with this kind of info... and also where the values are educated guesses. Looking forward to taking this one for a drive. 👍

You are all right. I just treat GTR-LM as curiosity and that's why I don't really fancy buying it just to drive 5 km if I don't like it. Thanks though for your help. For around 21 zl (5 euro) you can buy quite a good burger btw :lol:

I know it’s another copy and paste job of a car, but for those of you who haven’t tried the new 2020 C8.R Corvette hopefully these videos will help give to give an impression of it

I noticed there was an update listed for this C8R from Sim Dream, then shortly after POOF!! Missing from their site completely Lol. Wonder what happened? :)

i didn't think you guys cared that much about the eagle mk3 until seeing the reaction to that post. now im over here like sweating bullets under pressure. i even grabbed my Graphing calculator just incase haha i'll make sure this thing is heavily beta tested until it gets the thumbs up. we have a direct drive wheel tester fanapryde on the job with keen senses, and Mascott (when he gets home) with the CSW wheel and high standards and Mrboo for the controller guys. so i trust its done right if they collectively approve.

Also since its more than just me working on the cars now, the cars will no longer say "reworked by mike.y" on them anymore. Gt planet as a whole has helped on many many cars over the months and a few guys i even consider team members because they are always there for me as beta testers, or do all the visual stuff and religiously help out and work just as hard as i do. So thanks to Mr Boo we have a little logo and name now. reworked by "ACPR" will be the author now, and depending on the car that could mean, literally anyone who helped directly hands on or indirectly with feedback.
upload_2020-1-25_20-22-35.png
(and just to be clear i still plan on only doing cars we get permission for or rly old forgotten cars. the logo is only because saying reworked by mike.y is selfish at this point with all the help i receive. i respect all the FB groups and consider all their cars off limits. If i ever make a mistake let me know and i will take a flamethrower to the link instantly and apologise)
:cheers:

Just a little question: Is there a way to display more than the first 10 entries in the Best Laps tabs for each track in CM? Or get this information anywhere else?

upload_2020-1-26_6-46-9.png

I have checked the information in the "Master File" here: C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\AcTools Content Manager\Progress\Sessions and in "Profile (Sessions).data" but that didnt help very much. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.
