I tried default / default and then sol / sol2.
Might be placebo and i'll look silly but default / default worked best.

What i like about it so far is the sun looks better now for me, not just a disk it has sun rays and glare now.

Clouds are a bit hit and miss but they more more realistically in the wind.
Has nice red sky look to it as well which sol never seemed to have.

Its good.

after a couple of laps I got used to default and I even liked it.
what really surprised me was performances, with the same settings in a race on a track/car combo where I had fixed asw I then had it no more

Model or conversion?
Well, actually I don't know.. I download it from his website, that's all I can say!

Thanks - not sure if you are aware but the wing mirrors are flipped (well, 3D mirrors in VR are, anyway).
Oh, sorry for that.. I didn't know since I don't have VR!

looks great. I look forward to trying this. Do you have any other French Hatchbacks in the works? :)
Yes, for sure there will be a Renault one day! ;)

Quite a quirky little car, thanks for this one! Any chance you'll be doing anymore little hatchbacks at all?

Hatchbacks are my favorites, so the answer is.. for sure! :D

You talk about the fact that at some distance the non-animated model of the driver is displayed, and then it is replaced with an animated model, and it looks strange, it sharply pulls its head at this moment... You mean that, or something else?

I don 't keep up with CSP:)))
Not at all !

It’s just about the head/helmet moves which are too "rough" in the versions after the CSP 1.25preview140.
I’m aware the head/helmet moves are not supposed to be too smooth with some simulated G-Forces but here, It’s caricature !
So and because :
- I can’t support it in replay,
- I don’t care about grass FX,
- I don’t care about some other great features which are useless here,
and last but not least and I will repeat it for the XX time, I’m satisfy in this actual state and... I haven’t enough time in my (little) hobby period by day to be annoyed by some bugs.

It’s a repentant "early adopter" who is writing to you. ^^

I've read a lot of complaining about the sun on here. The sun can look amazing with a couple of adjustments. I mean, it has to be called SOL for a reason. :) With settings I have here, you will get bloom, a diffraction ring and rays from the Gods.

If you're not using A3PP then no need to rename. If you are, rename this ppfilter or rename the existing one A3PP_old, whatever you want but you'll have to rename file extension txt to ini obviously. PP folder is assettocorsa/system/cfg/ppfilter.
I modified godrays in this file and can't remember if I made any other important changes but that's why I just uploaded the whole file. By the way, these settings can be used in Sol_HC or any other ppfilter you prefer.

Within Sol Config, here are the settings to start from:
Page 1: Let the ppfilter modify these 4 aspects, glare, godrays, godrays single screen and spectrum.

Page 6: Sun Sky Bloom: 75
Sun Dazzle: Mix: 90, Strength: 75, multi: 0

Page 12: nerd sun adjust:
ls Saturation: 215
ap Saturation: 510
ap Level: 125

From here, do a practice session at, let's say, Brands Hatch at 8:30 - 9 in the morning. I had a good time at Oschersleben GP too.
Get ready to be a bit blinded. Put your sunglasses on. The sun is going to portray more color from different times of day. It won't just be an orb in the and will have diffraction ring/s, the godrays will poke through the trees even more. For me it's made the immersion level go up.
Might be a bit exaggerated but the values are there to mess with. (Sorry no pictures, this is my work computer, not my rig)

Great work and I'm glad you're back. I noticed a conflict which is that acr is already being used so to avoid confusion, would it be possible to change your car file name? Maybe to acrw or acm?

Hi guys sorry to disturb, are there Italian tracks to organize uphill races?
Thanks for your help.
There's a few hillclimb tracks; Coppa Carotti, Cesana Sestriere, Catania-Etna, Verzegnis Sella Chianzutan, Monte-Erice Sicily, SP237, Targa -Florio and Trento-Bondone. Let me know if you can't find any of them and I'll get you some links if I can but you should be able to get them from google :)

Looks like "Sol2" has nothing to do with the original Sol from Peter Boese and is just an expansion of CM's default weather script. https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/sol.163844/page-165

Also sounds like it's at a very early stage of development for now as well so prolly best to just stick with SOL....although i haven't managed to get time to play AC today so can't comment on what it looks like lol

If you want to use the CSP WeatherFX, I think you're meant to set both the controller and script settings to default.

I think SOL2 is going to be for the next version of SOL, which Peter Boese is already working on.

Yeah that does sound about right, the RD thread does say something about it just being the same as default and maybe in preparation of SOL2 but as I'm now using what @Beezer215 suggested and it seems to look and run ok I'm sticking with that for now. I'm not getting any blinding sun rays though lol.

Exactly. The possibility to select "sol2" is in latest csp 0.1.38, but it should be only available to some testers, its nowhere near finished, so dont select that in CM atm.

(Sol2 is its own standalone version, residing in "assettocorsa\extension\weather\sol2" and other places)

I just don't get why anyone wants blinding sun rays to be honest. I hate them when I'm driving in a real car, so I don't want them in a sim either – especially since I don't wear sunglasses at home at night while driving my sim.

Besides anything else, all you need to get stronger sunrays is adjust a few settings in SOL and/or your PP filter of choice.

Honestly I wouldn't normally but as it's so grey and miserable outside in the real world I fancied some "blinding" sun rays just to see if it would cheer me up

But you're playing a sim that is supposes to simulate the real world as close as possible.

Edit, Oh never mind I forgot we're driving lego cars on lego tracks now, no need to try and simulate real life.
