Neo Bowser City from Mario Kart 8 coming soon from Soyo.

most fun for me in AC is Mario Track, VR Ligar truck and friends. This make me smile like when I was a kid.
A mini kart with some suspension plus drift tune is needed as tracks are very bumpy and RD kart mods not good drifters -too grippy just now so lose some fun-

GTP Tuners should mod current kart mods into mario kart style drift tune karts, and add ACFAN style insane 911 audio :D then we set up fun league for non serious drift kart mario style racing :D

If the tracks can be converted from MK8 then maybe the karts can too..?

I wanna be Toad :D

It would appear that you still have quite a few links that need fixing, going back to the last batch that you listed as having been updated.

The following, which were supposedly updated on 2020-02-04, still have links to the old files, which were updated on 2020-01-30:
HillClimb_BMW_Z4
HillClimb_EVO_IX
HillClimb_Ford_Escort_Cosworth
HillClimb_Lancia_Delta
HillClimb_Mercedese_190
HillClimb_Norma_MXX
HillClimb_Opel_Kadett
HillClimb_Peugeot_106
HillClimb_Porsche_977
HillClimb_Seat_600
HillClimb_VW_Golf_mk1

The following, which were supposedly updated on 2020-02-12, still have links to the old files, which were updated on 2020-02-10:
PikesPeak_VW_IDR
R3_Suzuki_Swift
R5_Suzuki_Swift

The following, which was supposedly updated on 2020-02-12, still has a link to the old file, which was updated on 2019-09-22:
GrB_Porsche_959_Paris_Dakar

Including version numbers and the latest update dates next to each of the individual mods would go a long way to improve any basic usability of your site. There is no efficient means of quickly assessing whether one has the latest version.

You also may want to, perhaps, have the mods, which are listed as new on the main page, directly link to the specific category page within which the respective mod and its download can be located, since there is often no easy way to determine where exactly or which page the mod is located, which is further exacerbated in instances where certain models exist as different mods in more than one category. Even without any such issues, a link/shortcut simply reduces user friction.

Just a couple things that are easily implemented, yet have a large impact. As it currently exists, the user experience is rather suboptimal.

This should be the law, punishable by death. So many modders don't bother adding or updating version numbers, yet it takes seconds. It's the epitome of laziness and drives me mad.

I think it refine from old version. Also you can found his work in DeviantART https://www.deviantart.com/shadowexplorer/art/NSX-GT-wip-001-322477631

Gotcha. Months ago it looked like it was real close to finishing but then it went dormant.

I guess you CAN make dynamic tracks and animations. Whether it can translate to a whole different pit stop scene, that's left to ponder but at least we can have syncopated dancing from the oranges marshals.

Maybe this could lead the way of when sections of the track go yellow, it changes the marshals waiving flag to yellow and then back to green. The animation is there now, but wonder if that flag color change could be implemented.

super cool nonetheless.
edit: geeze, Mascott said the same sorta thing above :dunce:

Speaking of finished, wasnt that Portland supposed to release months ago? Did i miss that?

Portland what? :D

You missed it not being released yet. Last thing put in the track where the grooves but they were floating 6" above the ground...
Then it stopped. Maybe its time to get cracking.

Wow, your balloons are beautiful. 👍 :)
... as the bishop said to the actress.
;)

Thanks very much, I have a lot of fun making them.
Your Silverstone balloon for your new track skin is fantastic. I love the way it's just a single logo wrapping around the whole balloon instead of repeating two or three times. Very effective!
Speaking of this track skin, do you raise the overall colour saturation of your new textures compared to Kunos defaults? Everything seems very vivid and almost glows with my normal PP filter. Is it supposed to be used with the filter you prove in the download? I tend to stick with my own PP filter for VR performance reasons, and it's a pretty good fit for most (almost all) tracks.

Well, here's an ACC track converted. First one I've seen.
Should probably just leave the trees as is, they look perfect!
And the song in the video isn't annoying at all. Good stuff!

Is this another Mario Kart conversion? Music sounds like it should be from there..and those trees are like the Disney Park trees.

Hello guys, I have a little problem with my AC, where the sparks are coming out in black and white and not yellow. Would anyone know how to solve my problem? PS: I'm using the latest version of the Shader Lights Patch (I've tried to switch to previous versions and nothing has changed). Thanks for attention.

On Portland, the track was ported from RF2 and built upon from there with a loft of hard work from Blamer and others. Although that version of Portland is the correct layout (vs old Festival curves) - well hell, Studio 397 just posted these. Now what :odd:

Does anyone share link to free Sf1000 from SD -without sign up-

I was just catching up on about 50 pages of this thread and it was some way back now but I saw some of you complaining about the atrocious design of RD and also issues downloading with certain browser extensions.

Now my default approach to browsing is considered madness by the majority, but out of principle I run with everything disallowed unless I whitelist it. No javascript, no WebGL, no remote fonts, Ad Blocker running on top, so I am used to websites not working properly without some fiddling.

Anyway sorry I'm boring you with what could be said in a few sentences;

Any time RD have borked the downloads button for certain extension users or tried to force some advertising middleware via the download button there always remains a simple way to start the download;

Just add "/download" to the end of the mod overview page URL and you instantly get a direct download.

eg:

https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/pessio-garage-rd1-porknose.30886/

becomes

https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/pessio-garage-rd1-porknose.30886/download

No javascript or anything required to be whitelisted.
