You missed it not being released yet. Last thing put in the track where the grooves but they were floating 6" above the ground...
Then it stopped. Maybe its time to get cracking.
I hope Konrad from Sim Traxx doesn't realise that you're copying his M.O. of never finishing tracks - he might issue a Cease & Desist. Or more likely, a Continue & Complete. ;)

Is that the only thing to resolve, the floating grooves? Plenty of talent in this thread to help with that. Sounds like something @GzeroD would do in his sleep.
Why not post an alpha and get the community to complete it?
 
Looking forward to Beto's Pista 👍 Will this be freely shareable for those not on fb or will it be another one of those private only mods? The one made by Forceful is still the gold standard for me (the one made by ZARI is good but I just prefer the dynamics of Forceful more). Would be interesting to compare with Beto's version. Plus he usually throws in a tuned version or two :D

The track right now is being addressed, thanks Masscot. Blamer is doing something on it and we'll go from there... the biggest problem in this whole thing is the long gaps in communication from another person. There is life to do outside of AC :P
But many things are done, big improvements have happened so maybe its time to wrap her up.

Speaking of this track skin, do you raise the overall colour saturation of your new textures compared to Kunos defaults? Everything seems very vivid and almost glows with my normal PP filter. Is it supposed to be used with the filter you prove in the download? I tend to stick with my own PP filter for VR performance reasons, and it's a pretty good fit for most (almost all) tracks.
There is not a point of over saturated colors here, the revised version got same tones as the vanilla Silverstone here. ;)

It's a little bit of topic but as an art lover, I Love saturated colors and... in arcade games like Mario Kart or other Mario Kart like.
For simulations, I dislike saturated colors, It's a question of mood for be simple, a sort of dicotomia between gaming.
ACC is saturated as hell so, I decrease it to 65% if I am remembering well for example.

From your last photo showing Kunos branding it's obvious that you aren't using Delta's revised billboards - it's the new textures that look over saturated to me. Turn on his track skin and take another look?
 
@TonyBarracuda your Viper Competition Coupe 2000 has mirror-finish surfaces on the transmission tunnel and in the footwell that reflect the road and make it look like there's no floorpan in the car, Flintstones-style. Any plans to adjust the shaders? Door panels are very reflective too.

I need help. I hope this is the right thread for this. My game suffers from extreme stuttering sometimes: often when I go off the track and the message that tells me the lap won't count appears, when I hit a barrier or when I drive through a checkpoint the game freezes. Actually the car stops in place but the game still runs and after one or two seconds I find myself many meters away from where the freeze occured. Has anyone experienced this before? How could I solve this? I read somewhere that it could be related to hud mods or to ppfilters and I actually think it happens more often when I use A3PP filter

When I had stuttering on my old pc it ended up being the usb port my wheel was plugged into. Might be a worth a go swapping it
 
This Porsche 911 (930) Turbo 1979 by AutoModeJapan is worth a look. I've got seven 930s that all seem to share the same model but I think this one drives (and sounds) the best. Warning for VR users: the driver is a dwarf and is one of those terrible no-helmet-casual-clothes freaks.



Edit: actually, @Showmebest66 's Assettodrive version might be better, and the driver isn't shrunk either. Need to do more testing.
The analogue clock works on the AutoModeJapan version, which is a nice touch. Looks freaky if you use accelerated time as the hands race around.
Wonder if the clock config could be copied to the other versions...?

Tes commentaires sont juste bêtes et je comprends maintenant pourquoi des moddeurs comme ASR, VRC ou autres Simdream font payer leurs mods.
A mon tour, je trouve que tes ballons ou les textures de tes circuits sont trop fades à mon goût. (mais je viens te liker pour t'encourager, pas pour le meilleur score, je m'en fiche de ça)
Voilà et je t'épargne de publier les exemples en images de tes oeuvres sur Assetto parce que je respecte tous le gars qui bossent sur ce jeu.
Maintenant tu peux continuer sournoisement à descendre ce que j'essaie de reproduire si ça te chantes.

I try to recreate 1991 barcelona classic mansell senna fight.
so far i have FW14 / MP4/6 and using kunos barcelona moto.

has barcelona a skin for 90s ads for very good 90s barcelona track mod, i try search but i dont see 90s skin?
 
Don't suppose anyone knows how to remove and replace the Abarth writing on the front grille mesh on the Abarth 500 AC? Thanks.

Load the car up in content manager showroom click the object you want to remove and then in the car folder make an extension folder and put an ext_config.ini file inside.
In your ext_config add the following

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]
FILE=abarth500_assetto_corse.kn5
HIDE=polymsh_extracted_SUB4
INSERT=
INSERT_AFTER=

It will only hide the writing in game and not in the showroom but it's a quick and dirty way of doing it.
 
Getting ready to reinstall AC (fun stuff) and trying to remember things I had installed to reinstall again. This was one of them.

If you've missed this, you should really like it if you dont have it. Its excellent. Sample of fx sounds in the descr.
Have no idea why only 2000 people dl it, its 10x better then kunos stock sounds.
Works on every car. Realism up a lot of notches.

Thanks for the reminder about this. I had it installed at the first opportunity but must have lost it without realising during a file integrity check over a year ago. It's now back in place where it belongs.
The more visceral 'off road' noise is awesome when skidding across grass, especially at high speed. Hearing the car getting shaken to bits as you it on the downhill section at Autodromo Peñuelas, skidding on to the grass and spinning around and seeing clouds of smoke and dirt billowing out behind you in VR glory... man, things like this are why I love this hobby so much.

I get "Quota Exceeded" whenever I try to download this or any other car uploaded on Drive and cannot even do that copy trick since I got my account there banned from Google since I shared tons of paid mods to cs.rin.ru back then

This was posted a few pages back. Someone else had the same issue, but some others didn't. I'd suggest making sure you're on the latest CSP, but maybe there's more knowledgeable folks who could help further if that doesn't work.

Has anyone had an issue where the engine sound on one car has just randomly stopped working??

My Pagani Zonda R has no engine sound at all suddenly. It's the original Kunos one and I've done nothing to it at all and now it just doesn't work. I've checked the .bank file and it's in the correct place and named correctly, also the Kunos main sfx file is still referring to the correct .bank file and none of the other Kunos cars seem to be affected.

I've even tried extracting the Zonda R sound file and played each sound in turn on media player and they're all fine! Really does my head in when stuff like this just breaks for seemingly no reason. Could someone please try uploading their Zonda R .bank file for me to test if mine's somehow become corrupted?

Edit: Content manager giving the error: 'can't load soundbank -sequence contains no elements'

I've always had audio dropped from Kunos cars at random. I don't quite understand why, but it seems installing a mod car can bork the sound on a totally unrelated Kunos car. It's a bugger.
