I just noticed something totally unfair in the SIM world, the 911 model 996 does not receive any love, it is nowhere to be found, this need to be fixed.:)

Once it's been done then maybe we could fix the problem of not having a 914 GT 2.5

No, I have that one, I also have the "turbinchen" monster from ACcakut, they are based on the 996, but they are not the 996.
That car has not been in any SIM in it's original form and yet we have countless of all the other 911 models.
Does not seem fair and need to be corrected.

@Electroforce at least you have a 914/6

True, now who can turn it into a race car?? :)

There is this 944?

I just looked and I must have grabbed that one when it was posted here but it isn't brilliant to drive and the roll cage is a bit too low and sticks through the air vents which just puts me off driving it lol

Hmmm the physics could be fixed, but just grabbed it myself and there is more wrong with it that just the roll cage sadly :guilty:

From memory I only had a quick drive and the roll cage was one of the things that made me
I'm sure there was way more wrong with it but the roll cage was what stuck in my head lol

I could probably fix the rollcage, the rest of the interior doesn't seem bad at all from first glance, but the arches are a mess on closer inspection. It looks like they have been slapped on from a completely different car and squashed or stretched to fit (badly).

Yeah I noticed that in the showroom just now too. Just looks a bit of a mish mash of bits thrown together.

I like it, but it's not as pleasant to drive as Mr. Waffles reworked Hyundai Genesis. It's BoP puts it square in the GT4 pack, but unlike the Genesis, which is fast right out of the box, the 488's default setup takes quite a bit of ifddling before it feels right to me. My suggested setup is attached.
Golly, you're really putting the pressure on for this GT86 GT4 I'm working on. I'll have to revisit the Genesis and see if I can yet again get that feel.
Thanks for the nice comments about the handling.

So guy's, you see, we have 914 both road and track (
even if it is just a skin ;)) , 944, both road and track, we have 928 for the road, but no 996 for the road.
We are here talking about a Porsche 911 model that has been totally ignored. It is a shame and a sin, really a tragedy of biblical proportion.

Not identical to the one in the video, but pretty close?

a street 996 exist for ac its the 996 gt3 from forza its sadly the only 996 that was converted a 996 gt2 model exists in real racing 3 but no one has ported it yet there was also a 996 turbo mod for rfactor that had an interior that one can be also converted if people can find it. A base 996 carrera exists in project Gotham racing 2 but the model was never ripped.

Does anyone knows how to fix this? I have missing textures on many LODs and when I start a race the game gives me errors because he can't find these textures

You'll find in CM Showroom that all the textures a missing from the LODs, as infact they don't have any themselves, they use the main model's textures.
However the loading errors can be fixed.

3DSimEd
------------
Open LOD model > open main model > copy all from main model > paste materials into LOD model > purge materials form LOD model > save LOD model as LOD

CM/KSeditor
-----------------
CM Showroom > unpack kn5 > rename FBX and ini > close > edit lods.ini to load a LOD model first > CM Showroom > unpack kn5 > close > KSeditor open LOD model > save persistence > save as car (textureless) >repeat for other LODs > restore lods.ini
