I'm wondering what kind of performance we can expect from this once it's released? Are we looking at TT Cup levels of performance, GT4 levels, or closer to the road car?
 
Hmm... I am trying to find a perfect visual combo and I tried several ppfilters lately combined with differend reshade presets and I have in the end those 3.

Gotta say the first one looks very nice and cinematic, however sometimes it is too green for racing and it can be used only for screenshots.
The second one is awesome. I though that the Blackcelica's AC2020 was the best but this one is even more natural (that's just my opinion)
The last one is very similar to Natural mod and it has it's own reshade. The colors are very vibrant and the sun isn't as bright as with Natural Mod.
What do you think about it?
 
Anyways, just letting everyone know that the model witch hunts have begun for the Genesis already over on Racedepartment. I tagged the post for deletion a long time before it started ramping up anyways, so it's up to their moderators on what happens now.

However, while it was live, we were able to share the mod with over 600 people, the original model author came forward and gave us 5 stars and we were able to get 100% positive feedback. In that case, I see this as an absolute win.

Again, I want to thank everyone who helped work on the Genesis and for helping to make it one of the best cars I've ever driven in a racing sim. I have also appealed to Assettoland to host it, so hopefully our mod can be featured over there at some point.

Stay tuned, the 720s GT4 is still in the pipeline.
 
Hmmm. I thought the same thing about the engine sound level when driving a couple of different cars last night. Decided to go to bed instead of going on another 'bug hunt'.

About that sound. I found the issue. CM was not to blame. I had a Win10 update that messed up my (5.1 surround) sound. I had to reset that and that solved it. It worked a bit strange since I had to untick ALL speakers to get them to work as intended...very logical :indiff:
 
On top of what Slider said, it looks like grass gets cut every Thursday. It goes from a size scale from 1.0 to 4.0 from Thursday to the following Wednesday or something like that. I'm not sure. So today it would be unruly out of control. It would be nice if there was someplace to get all this info from
Sometimes there's multiple sets of grass too. Like on 60's Beez, there's grass beyond the fences that I assume are the ones that stay long and then grass that is track side that goes from the scale 1 - 4. I haven't tried reducing it to say 0.3 to 2.7 or whatever yet. Some tracks it's ridiculous and other's like Beez it fits perfect as the side of the roads look unmaintained. Beez just got a config update and driving lo powered street cars around there is wonderful.
Beez. And I'm not just saying that because it's part of my name.
Never thought Beez could have something similiar with Beezer, but damn you´re right! :)

All the others who downloaded the old one from leBluem and me, just be carefull not to overwrite it.
Maybe, I´ll find tomorrow some time to combine them both ... ? :D
 
I've put flames.ini, flames_present.ini etc and even edited some of the bits.
The only effects you can see right now are the smokes from CSP. But no backfires. :(

You'll need to edit the sound.ini in the data folder and if not [BACKFIRE] section exists, paste this at the bottom:

MINRPM=6900

VOLUME_IN=1.0
VOLUME_OUT=1.0
VOLUME_SCALE_OUT=9

Adjust the MINRPM= to suit the car :cheers:
 
You mean the bbgrass.kn5 file?
I guess it's up to personal taste. It adds flowers and some taller bushes, so it may look out of place.

Fine, for me the grass it´s to low. It´s almost not there. And it seems to be set up to be always the same length? But it´s only the impression from the image you posted and a quick look into the config. :)
As I´m working on my own, I don´t want to overwrite it. ;)

With a bit work it could be a bit more natural growing like this:

Something about carbon.dds files freaking out when trying to load the 2020 AMG GT3 conversion mod and having weird graphical glitches on the car during the race. I'm assuming I'm late to the party and it's already been covered around here. Does anyone know the process for fixing it? It seemed to be working fine before these new CM patches.

I was testing changes by pressing alt-tab and changing the numbers on the fly, but I'd be glad if you shared a more accurate version. 👍
 
couldn't agree more... I'm pretty tired of going to the bug hunt, also because between CM and CSP updates it's getting difficult to understand what is causing what.

What was causing your problems btw?

Hi Blamer. My GPU freezes were 100% caused by an app called F12018 HUD. Since I uninstalled it, I've had nothing but smooth glitch-free graphics... and I finally got a smile back on my face too.

Oh please do. I love Beez (not because it's part if my name here, that's a different story). There's something about that track with the crazy elevation changes and blind corners. Now add that tall grass coming onto the track edges and it's one of the best road/city courses. I'm not sure that I had your config before.

Could you share with me what defines the 0 day length to 6th day length?

Is it the difference between the values separated by the commas or is this not even it at all?
 
Check the folder names. Car folder and skin folder to start. Folder names must be 1 word with no spacing for vanilla AC. (No such requirement for Content Manager.)

Example: ks_ferrari

Edit: The car won't start in the game with this fix, I guess I should look into the data.acd

Found the culprit. Renaming the car folder from "vw_beetle_3.0" to "vw_beetle_30" fixed the problem.
