With all these GT4 cars popping up, I should commission like 3 of them: a fictional Dodge Challenger GT4 (we have Chevy and Ford, but no Dodge. I know they don't really do GT racing at the moment, but it'd be fun to have), a fictional Alfa Giulia GT4 and the not so fictional Fiat 124 GT4 that went into testing a couple years ago.

Oh! I guess, then, I should commission the not-so-fictional Dodge Challenger and Fiat 124 GT4 cars and the fictional Giula GT4. Didn't know the Challenger GT4 was a thing. Now I does.

Speaking of the Giulia, I know someone made a DTM Hommage version that did pretty decently against the GT3 cars when in my testing.
personally i would love to see more of the fictional gr.3 and gr.4 cars from gt sport. specifically the beetle gt3 and veyron gt4

I remember, the "Formula 79" (Lotus 79 ^^) has been the first mod I bought for AC !
When I saw it, It was such a magnificent thought, one of the most iconic racing car (and one of the most beautiful in my opinion !), I will virtually drive it, such a tremendous sensation here which thrilled me.

And the sound of the V8 Ford Cosworth, pure eargasm !!!

Chicago was released. But it wasn't. But it was.

You won't find a link to the track in the youtoob video unless you've donated in the past

Some of these money-grabbing shysters need to either look up the definition of 'donation' or grow some balls and hide their mods behind a proper pay wall. But I guess they can't do that because they can't officially charge for stolen content.
I really hate this monetisation/hoop-jumping trend that seems to be gathering momentum in the modding community. Why are these people even modding? To make money or for the pure joy of doing it? Or is there a third reason: to boost their egos by exerting control over anyone eager to try their mods? I suspect it's the latter.
I have a lot more respect for modders who put their content out for free with a PayPal link so that people can choose to donate if they really enjoyed the mod. This 'pay in advance/subscription/gold membership' bollocks is utterly cringeworthy. Almost as bad as that asshat who used to come here and rehost every single mod on the planet on his personal Sharemods account.

Porsche 911 966.2 GT3 (2004)

Link at bottom

Well here is my "quick" edit of the 966. I say quick but I ended up spending a few more hours on it as planned! It's by no means perfect, but as the original mod was a badly handling turbo machine with very flat paint jobs, it now drives pretty nicely and looks a lot better. Other than matching real world performance figures, I didn't go for real world specs such as suspension settings etc. I've made it as nice to drive as possible and in line with how I "think" it should feel but I'm no physics guru and don't pretend to be either. So if anyone wants to take on that challenge, knock yourselves out 👍

All credits go to Assetto Garage for creating the mod in the first place. Thanks to @MrB00 for the extra skins!

Changelog:

Physics updates:

- Matched real bhp and torque figures for the 2004 model year
- Created an accurate power curve
- Tweaked AI
- Corrected colliders

Model updates:

- added AO body map
- fixed flickering items in dashboard
- better shifting animation
- re-created/added more skins
- various shader changes
- other small fixes that I forgot to note
- added basic LOD's
- Gulf, Apple and Camo skins lovingly created by MrB00

Skin template included in /template folder

Big thanks to Assetto Garage for the original conversion
Many thanks to MrB00 for the extra skins and additional testing

Enjoy! :-)

I do not plan on spending much more time on this as I have so many other things going on at the moment, but if anyone has any suggestions then please let me know and I will see what I can do. Also if anyone wants to take over the mod and improve it further themselves, go for it. Don't even credit me if you don't want, but please credit AG and MrB00 for their work

Thanks mate!

I like this car IRL. I had finally time to test it and enjoyed it a lot. It reminds me very much the one I drove many years ago. Really appreciate the work you put on it, It's a joy to drive.

@PR0JECTNR56 Have you made any progess on the Mazda-DPi skins? Respectively have the Rollovers said anything regarding upgrading the Endurance pack with the RSS Imsa mod from rFactor?

I have talked earlier with the author of the IMSA rF2 mod (Real Series Simulation if anyone wants to check it, it's a great free mod for rF2 and v1.1 just got released), he said, that he is not planning to make an AC conversion.

I also sent the links to Rollovers guys on Discord, they checked it out and confirmed, that visually it is definitely a step up compared to the current AC version, however they did not update their package since then, so the issues remain the same with the Mazda (compared to the real life 2019 version of the car, since this is is the closest at the moment to the Rollovers version):
- bad quality rims / rim blur
- misaligned rear wheels
- wrong RPM lights
- missing numberplate in the cockpit
- low quality exhaust outlet / cover
- missing heat resistant metal plating at the exhaust outlet
- messed up carbon textures throughout the bodywork
- incosistent material use
- wrong color and reflection settings for the carpaint
- wrong brake textures and object positioning
- minor details missing from the cockpit / bodywork

To summarize: I will wait until we have a better Mazda to work on and taking in consideration that the Rollovers guys are busy with the GT4 it might take some time until they return to their IMSA one.

Hi, I have run into a problem while trying to play in Assetto Corsa. I have checked the integrity of the files in steam and it says that there are something wrong with a couple of files and they have been downloaded again. The problem after that continues. I have also tried to play in 32 bit mode and this way the game works (in 32bit I can´t use CSP). Any idea how can I fix it?

@serwiki
Hi ! :)

Sorry if my words seem to you out of the problem but... did you added some Python software recently !?
There are some weeks ago, I added just a new Python software and It has been a mess, the game was locked on the loading screen for a session.

Step by step and re-installing my AC, controlling it periodically with things I added one by one, I knew It was THAT LITTLE THING which put the mess ! :ouch:

Recently I havent added any other software, what I have done it´s a windows 10 integrity verification because I had another problem with assetto. The first problem dissapeared but now I have this problem:embarrassed:. I have thought about reinstalling the whole game but I have so many cars and mods... Is there any way of reinstalling without deleting all the mods?
Thanks for answering my question:gtpflag:

I think part of it is a particular type of player migrating over from games like Forza, used to all the timed unicorn cars/auction house nonsense and the type of person that wants something unique that they can show off to people that don't have it. This enables these kind of crappy practices as the modders know they'll have an audience of fools willing to pay for their shoddy ripped work just so they can wave it in other people's faces.

I suspect PC gaming being what it is, it will self correct at some point and once a paywall modder has enough interesting content out there, some good fellow will take the hit and then release it all to the wild. A lot of toys will get thrown out of various prams and the world will move on.

What version of CSP are you running? Try reinstalling or upgrading to a newer version.
