Didn't notice too much FPS drop from my tests (and I play only in VR so I would have seen it very quickly 😂 ) but be sure I will look to improve it...
Really wanted it to release it to before the weekend now it will need some optimizations of course ;)

Can you try please to disable some models in models.ini and tell me which have a big impact ?

the layout might fool ya but there's a turn that i missed every try. too tight.

btw. @Pyyer does the tracksides should be look like that? and the kerbs on some corners are too narrow i think (it's ok to be like that)... when i check jeddah, there are more surface on the kerbs. these are felt like saussage kerbs when you go on them.

but nonetheless this is the best miami track we can get without paying.

You will have to drvie it even more, after a thousand kilometers every turns are OK 😁

The kerbs in the mod are 80 cm wide and have an height between 1 cm (trackside) and 4 cm at highest. Don't know if they should be wider or lower (I personaly think so but I will try to adapt to real size this weekend)
 
Probably a long shot but does anyone here own/play any of the Forza Motorsport games? I'm looking to find a video showing how the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti wipers work (preferably from the outside view). Of course I could ask in the Forza thread but I'm afraid of the unknown and it's for an AC mod after all.

I have a config already done for this mod but the wiper geometry suggests that there must be some additional motion going on at the end of the swipe:

I just updated the Ferrari 612 wiper config to v0.2, the wiper on the driver side now reaches a bit more to the side with some extra rotation. Same link as before: https://www.mediafire.com/file/qsnx3q5str2v2q9/ferrari_612_scaglietti.ini/file
An updated version (edit by ATS) of the mod with internal windows and the wiper config included should be released in the next few days on Facebook.

Just a few words :

It's my first released track (at least the first official one as I have some unreleased content waiting 😉) and the last few weeks have really been exhausting as I really wanted to have some decent stuff for you in such a very short notice. That were some really long days and nights (as I have a real life job too 😅)

Track includes :
  • 3 DRS zones
  • 28 pitboxes
  • Sponsors & billboards based on lot of content I've seen in the last few days
  • A new BC7 format texture override method which allow better quality textures
  • Elevation is based on unreleased official/unofficial track
  • some relatively decent AI, GrassFX and RainFx (but as they are not my best talent, you're really welcome if you you want to give it a shot to improve them!)
  • Lights will come in upcoming updates.
  • Flags will probably be removed in future updates to stay close to reality as possible (but I will keep them as an option as I find they are really cool 😉)


As some of you have already requested me, I've finally decided to create a Patreon page

Don't worry every mods will stay free of course!

That's just a new way for those of you who want to say thanks, to support my creations and to encourage me to create even more great detail oriented stuff for our favorite racing simulator!

The 70s layout of Watkins Glen is essentially identical to today's. Even the blue Armco is similar. I just spent two minutes removing the top row of Armco, the big catch fences and the pit wall from Lilski's top quality Watkins Glen Classic Boot layout, and it already looks more like the 70s. It obviously needs a skin for to change the track graphics and the billboards and there may be other features that need hiding. I started a 1950s/60s version of Road America and had to remove a lot of generators, TV screens, lighting towers and so on, so I expect that might also be true of Watkins. I'll find out when I go for a drive around.

Driving without TC or abs in those cars is not as fast as who drive with it. Look senna with schumi about the debate he had with the circus in 93 for example.
It is an essential part of driving with a prototype if is allowed the usage.

HIDE= name of the mesh to hide

add this in an ext_config file and it should work just fine

Appreciate the quality results Pyyer, the level of detail & dedication are on par with greatness, thank you.

Here are a few replay-cams to complement your Miami track. Feel free to include should there be an update release.

Cams have been named cameras_4, 5 & 6 respectively, and should not overwrite existing cams (including DaBaeda's cams posted previously).

The track itself has plenty of technical maneuvering, and is quite challenging to say the least... It's a blast!

"Required DLC is missing" = your first clue
I had the same issue. URD guys helped me. Just copy the colider.kn5 file from a kunos car and paste the copying file in the Darsche file (AssettoCorsa/Content/Cars/Darsche_Egt_2021). Normally, Windows will ask you to replace the existing file.

It's a old project of a friend of mine who hasn't enough time to develop it more. So, hoping for help, he let me to share it on here.
Location: Izmıt (Kocaeli - TURKEY)
L: 1950m (1.212 mile)
W: 10-12m
T: 9 Turns (CW)
Layout: 1 (Main - Touring) but in reality it has Karting, Drag, RallyX, Drifting, Training layouts.

This is a totally scratch build. I created all stuff in it (except from the stadium and boats which are free Sketchup models I had to convert and update to make it work in Blender).

There is even no conversion or models taken from other tracks (I even create new trees models using the great resources from the website Meye

And this will be a cornerstone for more to come as a lot of content has been created to be generic for future works.
And I learned a lot too! 😉
Tried them one by one, none has a big impact. Commenting Model_1 (crew) gave me 5fps extra, the others 0 to 3 fps.
OK thanks for these tests. Will try to check main kn5 stuff to see what I can improve.

Sweet. Always good to have new track modders making scratch built tracks. Been a fan of your track extensions for a while so I look forward to seeing what else you come up with.
Now if I only had some free time to check Miami out but I have to work tonight :(

This is insane, at first you were just doing skins for F1 tracks and it suddenly escalated to making scratch build tracks! Awesome work, this is a far much more sincere job compared to the previous crap that even dare to charge money for. This would've easily been worth the $10.
