Does some know or did already try This FIA GT package? https://www.patreon.com/posts/72625834
(GT1, GT2, LMP, BRP... 90s to 00s) - not mine

Seems that a lot of work went in to it. But here are a lot of 'pros' who put work in similar cars, so may be someone knows how good this package is, physics wise and balance wise.

I think it is at least the biggest and most complete package of this, for me, golden era in GT racing

So sounds like it's not worth the hassle. That's OK, although I liked the thought of a big package. Maybe I'll use it as reference list for my hunt.

Some of the LMPs are nice (like the Courage and the Lola B98), because there is no other versions of these cars publicly available for AC. So it's basically, accept what we got (and it's better to have them, than nothing).

Some of the BOPs are nice though, like the one for the Viper. But the rest of the cars, are really meh (if u understand what i mean).

Anyone know if there are any track skins for Magione? I'm doing some stupid little edits on the track and would love to get rid of Assetto Corsa logos and flags. I can make alternate logos well enough, but I suck at making the background look like a texture material.

On the GTSupreme stuff: Apparently not everyone is willing to spend 4 bucks to see the incredible Virtua-LM mod gathered up for use (as grid fillers) in Assetto. Dang. Rondeau, Group C2, DeCadenet, Cougar, CK5, 956...on and on...

I am :)

(He did an update of a better version of the Peugeot 905 that I adapted my skins to. Happy again. He can have another 4 bucks just for that. )

A 91ish grid of his updates that required very little BOPing...

GTS-Grid.jpg

Heck, I'd pay another 4 bucks just to sit on the grids I can create with this stuff :)

Both On Race Dept:

Real Billboards And Stuff.

Rich Summer Skin For Magione.

Google both of those and it'll be the top result.

Bruh here paying for stuff that was made for free in the first place, well done you're everything that's gone wrong in the modding community

soon they will be ;) The Courage C36 is public with @Peugeot905 annoucing the public release not long ago. He did publicly release the WSC-95 recently.

Everything that's wrong in the modding community huh. A little self inflated aren't you. (opinion of you just dropped bigtime)

Just to clarify:

Me: - Purchased everything sportscar available for Assetto (from RSS, URD, VRC, IER, Sergio etc)
- Direct paypal support to several modders, patreon for others, including GTSupreme (and Ilya, for a few years now)
- Generally try to be a helpful force here at GTP.
- on a non-existent retirement budget.

You: - come across as a swell-head loose lipped 15 year old troll. Grow up.

Something stupid I threw together for myself for Magione. Thought i'd share. It basically does a few simple things:

1.) Alters the CSP seasonal changes to eliminate orange grass in the fall.
2.) Hides the ridiculously ugly tree at the end of the front straight.
3.) Enables dynamic flags with new flag objects for the flag poles. The stock objects had this weird piece that would stick out with dynamic flags enabled so I just changed the object. Probably was an easier way to do it, but I didn't know how.
4.) Added flag lights on the couple of places that had the objects to do so. Wanted to add something on the s\f display panels, but couldn't remember how. If I remember, i'll update the mod.
5.) Changed some billboard and flag textures. Some I borrowed from @Pyyer and darkyjoe's real billboards mod and some I tried to create my own. I'm not a texture guy so they look kind of bad. Thankfully you don't need the skin for the other stuff to work. You can just use whatever skin you prefer.

All things can be disabled individually if you don't like a specific change.

Magione mod

No preview pic because the mod doesn't do anything worthy of a picture.

EDIT: Reupload. Made the same stupid typo in the seasonal Lut's I made on Goodwood. Summer shouldn't look so blue anymore.

EDITED! - SEE POST BELOW THIS ONE

Course de Coté d'Esterel Hillclimb France - rain and grass and vao and so on...

Track can be found here: https://assettorallygrb.wixsite.com/rallygrb/copia-di-spain-portugal

New logo and coordinates for the track after nas404 pointed me in the right direction - thank you!

  • You should be able to copy the files straight into you assetto corsa folder as long as you have the track installed. It will ask to override - backup your track if you want to keep the original files.

  • If the new grass still won't show check your assetto corsa folder: extension/textures/grass_fx. You should have a "highlands.dds" file in there, otherwise no grassFX.

The only real hillclimb event I could find was the one in Portugal but I really don't know if this track resembles the real one or not. Either way it's a nice ride, even if the french billboards woulb be all wrong then.

Hi Bart,
it might be la "course de coté d'Esterel" , the Esterel hillclimb not far from Roquesbrunes well know for the rally fan too.

Hi everybody. I dont think that I did read about this here before:

There is a new Lexus LFA (2 versions) from Opperslang & GADU Boyz Mod out there:

The big news here is, that the cars have feet-animation for brake and thottle! I dont think I have ever seen that in AC before. Unfortunately this will be an VR-exclusive feature because I guess on a monitor you will not see you own feet moving around. BTW: this animation is for left foot braking:

Nor at VR, possibly... You will can see it, but I guess that seeing your own feet moving while racing is not the best way to go up in the ranking... (Smirking emoji here)
I've had this LFA for a while and it's easily one of the best converted car mods in Assetto Corsa. Leg animations on previous car mods (and there have been quite a few already, @mrtomcat66) were always distracting to me in VR because the movement was robotic and unnatural. The LFA is the first car I've driven where the animations feel perfectly natural and actually help with immersion, rather than breaking it. Unless you're a raving podophiliac, you should only ever be seeing the animation in your peripheral vision, but just like arm/hand shifting animations, if they're not done well and don't look human then you're better off without them.

Thanks a lot for the information.

I will check your links out and if it is indeed the track originally intended by the modder, I will try to change logo, coordinates etc.
Cheers!

EDIT: there's a billboard at the finish line - "region PACA" - that might be the clue? (quite exhausting, all that detective work... takes longer than putting some grass and raindrops onto the track...).
I think I will reupload and place the track in France then , just as you suggested.
Still guessing, since the outline is not quite equal but with all the billboards in French, it's probably a better match.
Thanks again for all your hints.

Would you say this is a better LFA mod than the Binary Motors mod of the same car? The LFA is a personal favourite and I'm always looking to find the best out there.

You're right. And this is my bad - especially because I praised a modder a few months ago, who did implement some animations (handbrake and feet) in their mods:

Or is it probably the same, because it was Opperslang who published the one on Binary Motors' Discord.

Its not the same. Graphically imho Jerry Wei (Binary) did a slightly better job. The differences are not substancial but when you analyze cokpit few details are done better (look at wheel, sport mode as option). Still its physics which is more important. Here I also prefer Binary version though again differences are very subtle (mainly better fbb feel for me). What I like more on Gadu version is sound. Clicking limiter in Binary version was driving me mad. In the end I kept Binary and replaced the sound. Still this is all personal preference
