Q: It is possible to add camera-facing crowds to any track's grandstands easily, or does it have to be added-in by whoever makes a particular track?
Many older tracks have cardboard cut-out flat crowds that look terrible if viewed at an angle.

Odd, I only had the problem when I turned off Seasonal Adjustments in WeatherFX.

Try this out. You can do it two ways. Either copy the ks_red_bull_ring.ini file to the extension\config\tracks\loaded folder (make a copy of the original first). Or put the included extension folder in the RBR track folder. If you have an extension folder already, then you will need to copy and paste my stuff into your current ext_config. Easiest way is the tracks\loaded folder, but if CM ever updates the config, my changes will get replaced.

You can play with the ambient and diffuse values to get something more to your liking.

BTW, anyone have any interest in trying this for Nords? I know filters make a big difference in how tracks look, but man did it look bad on my system with my filter so I had to change it.

I'll check it out, but I think all you need to do is put the included extension folder in the RBR track folder. Not the folders for @Pyyer extensions, but the main track folder. It should read my changes even when using one of his optional layouts. If not, it's a simple copy and paste job. I'll throw it together for you real quick if need be.

EDIT: RBR is one strange track to get right. Totally changes look like no other depending on whether you have Use Seasonal Adjustments enabled or disabled in CSP. Anyway, can someone give this updated ext_config a try for RBR. I think I have the texture lighting balanced whether you use Seasonal Adjustments or not. Grass should be darker as well. Goes in the track's extension folder. If you already have an ext_config, copy and paste this stuff into it. One thing's for sure, the track needs a major overhaul. IMO, the textures are horrible.

And for @xNAPx , I was correct. If you put this file into the main track extension folder, it will carry over to the @Pyyer extensions.

I think Pyyer extension has its own ext config. If you could do ot I'll appreciate it

Forget the files I posted earlier today. Download the new file above. Put the ext_config in the extension folder of the main track directory. If you already have an extension folder\ext_config file, copy and paste my stuff into what you have.

Yes, Pyyer has an extension folder with his mods, but it will read my changes from the main extension folder as long as none of his stuff makes the same changes. Which it doesn't because I already tested it. Kind of confusing, but trust me, it works.

Thanks for the updated release, though I wish to address something that needs fixing on the "Gran Turismo" livery.
The GT logo itself is using the wrong colours, there shouldn't be any red in the "G" part of the logo.

Other than that, everything else is good. Just wanted to mention since its a common oversight that's been around for years on the internet.

depends...
  • for any cam-face crowds, they cannot reside on a colideable surface such as 1ROAD/1GRASS etc
  • the cam-face will randomly populate a mesh
  • grandstand sitting will often be "weird" if the mesh is not split properly (people half in a wall or railing)
  • it is easy to create cam-face meshes for flat areas with 3dsimed (see my Hernad for example)

Guys, I need your help please. What can be the reason for a car processed from 3DSMax through KSEditor into AC looking like that in CM

Anyone else having issues with this car? I'm on CSP .78 and it's crashing on loading. Tried .79 and disabling CSP and it still won't run. All other cars are fine :boggled:

Just rainfx and logo this time, everything else was already in place.

  • You should be able to copy the files straight into you assetto corsa folder as long as you have the track installed. It will ask to override - backup your track if you want to keep the original files.

The same cars under AI control spend different times on pit stops, from ~1 to 30 seconds. Fuel consumption x1, i disabled tire damage and wear, which means that, apart from refueling, they should not do anything, why then it takes different random times. is this a bug? This is not the first time that problems with the behavior of AI have arisen, this is absolutely stupid and illogical, it seems that some crazy person was involved in the development of AI.

These settings do not affect the AI behavior during pit stops in any way?

After these your great updates (waiting Abu Dhabi!) you could update your old remaining extensions of Nurburgring (for 2020 Eifel Grand Prix), Sochi (for 2021 Russian Grand Prix) and Istanbul (for 2021 Turkish Grand Prix) using your new better method of contents.

Hello,

I allow myself to ask for your help because I am facing a problem that I do not know how to solve (my knowledge is limited)

My Content Manager works normally until I try to launch a trial or a race: the game loads normally and I systematically get a "race cancelled" error message :confused:

I've had this error message in the past and all I had to do was delete a track or a car that I had just downloaded for the game to work normally, but this time the problem is permanent.

Before asking for your help, I tried to select only Kunos cars and tracks, I checked the integrity of the game via Steam, I reverted to CSP 0.1.79 (I am a Patreon member) but the problem is still there.

I thank you in advance for the time that you will devote to help me because I am really lost.

Is this the best Viper GT3 out there? It seems like decent quality and pretty balanced with the other GT3s out the gate, but I was disappointed to see the wipers didn't work nor did the rain hit the windshield at all

I've honestly been looking for a newer Viper GTS.R or GT3.R mod for some time now. I've been using the URD mod, which is starting to really creep up on age.
 
Is there anyone that can tell me why Im getting red sparks from the new BMW Procars that are coming out? all the new ones do it, not any other cars ..and how do I fix this?
