Here we go:

  • Motherboard: B550 AM4
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT 20Gb
  • RAM: DDR4 3200MHz CL16 (4x8GB)
  • Hard disks: SSD M.2 2TB (two drives for a total of 4TB, so I don't have to worry about not having enough space to store even the crappiest mods, as a proper hoarder have to do 😌).

I'm still struggling with its optimization, trying things out, since I'm not exactly an expert on these issues and sometimes I suffer small image jerks, which is not as fluid as I would like.
Your processor, the Ryzen 5 5600X is too weak for RX 7900XT, propably this is the no1 problem, but you have two options.
1. Buy Ryzen 7 5700X3D or Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
2. Buy new motherboard, new DDR5 Rams and Ryzen 5 7600 or Ryzen 7 7700X.

Ooh, nice. I love Silverstone. I assume this is different to the RSS one from a few weeks ago (that didn't have the new hotel and link bridge)?

Superb track for touring car races with huge grids.

Yes. No relation to the rss one. And it has a variation that is not branded with those hidious f1 sponsors. For me also, Silverstone is what I call an obsession track. Once you load it after a long time, you can't stop driving in search of those lost miliseconds around the track. Just one more lap....all night.

Hello

a belated happy new year.

After i installed CSP 0.2.7p1 today, an orange square appears in the top left during races or trackdays. With Mouse over the square: "a delay in data stream from the server".

However, there are still no delays or anything similar.

training or hotlaps works fine . no orange square appears.


If i go back to CSP 0.2.6p1, the message doesn't appear.

Can anyone imagine where this could be coming from?

btw, a second PC - same problem.

I've been all over new wsc and gtc cars since release. But there is so much variation from car to car, that is very difficult to find a group of cars that run at least similar lap times and belong together period wise. I know there was no such thing as BOP back then and that there were sometimes up to 5,6 classes on the track at the same time (often with 2 or even 1 car type in the class). And altough this is also interesting, AC doesn't really do multi class very well, and it's difficult to have a nice competitive race.

Anyway to maybe help some people, that are also looking for this, I think I found a group of 6 cars that run pretty close to each other (within a second a lap on most tracks) and could also realistically run against each other in real life. Let's call it a "natural" BOP, and the class is WSC 1967 p2000. The cars:
  • Matra
  • Alfa Tipo 33
  • Porsche 910
  • Porsche 906E
  • Chevron B8 BMW
  • Ferrari Dino 206

Get a 4 of each for example and you can have a very nice competitive race. Here a screenshot mid race of mine. Would be even closer if I wasn't blocking the cars behind me :)

RSS one is made by John777, not this one.
Its just an "update" to the Kunos one

I gave the new haybale fizix a thrash last night and it is SO much better. 11/10 would recommend.
In fact, I wish every historic track modder would take a look.

Just curious, did you change the FRICTION and DAMPING values? If so, to what values?
 
Yep, I guess... and I'm tempted to upgrade to a 5700X3D... but I'm not keen on trying my wife's patience and provoking her wrath if I tell her I'm going to spend more money (again) on my grown-up man sim toy... 😰
I have an 5600x although I only have a 6700XT 12GB. I have the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler and can easily maintain 5ghz without any thermal issues. Before you go spending money I would try squeezing as much as you can out of the 5600x. Ryzen Master is an easy to use official AMD tool for overclocking.

This new one on RD and the RSS one both use the Kunos track as a base.
Seems both are effectively extensions to the existing track, not dissimilar to Pyyer's method.
Very strange that both should come out within a few days of each other, but I'm not complaining.

I'm not new to AC but this is the first time I have seen that hay bales can be set on fire...I had no idea. Excuse the period inappropriate car, but I knew it could throw some flames. This made my day. :)

not actually accurate. It is an update to the kunos track. CC made the pit building as a show room but went a bit wild and decided to remake a bunch more. He got john involved. They are still working on it as, I believe, CC has also redone the F1 Pit building as well. Who knows, the new hotel may be on the list too. It was released as version 0.75 so it is possible even more is planned.

The old version worked like a charm, but this one, not so much....

I got this on the Ferrari P2 when I opened the Data.Acd to fix an Autshift problem. restored the original Data.acd and all worked

I worked on that texture.I havnt seen it throw an error.(then again,my copy isnt encryted) Does it happen on other CSP versions?

it is a separate track but it uses the kunos layout. It is why you have to copy kunos files over to the new track in order for it to work.

No sir. It just worked as expected out of the box, with what I thought were appropriate, and different, slowdowns depending on the depth of the "graze" and violence of the collision.
