Yes. No relation to the rss one. And it has a variation that is not branded with those hidious f1 sponsors. For me also, Silverstone is what I call an obsession track. Once you load it after a long time, you can't stop driving in search of those lost miliseconds around the track. Just one more lap....all night.

Hello

a belated happy new year.

After i installed CSP 0.2.7p1 today, an orange square appears in the top left during races or trackdays. With Mouse over the square: "a delay in data stream from the server".

However, there are still no delays or anything similar.

training or hotlaps works fine . no orange square appears.


If i go back to CSP 0.2.6p1, the message doesn't appear.

Can anyone imagine where this could be coming from?

btw, a second PC - same problem.

I've been all over new wsc and gtc cars since release. But there is so much variation from car to car, that is very difficult to find a group of cars that run at least similar lap times and belong together period wise. I know there was no such thing as BOP back then and that there were sometimes up to 5,6 classes on the track at the same time (often with 2 or even 1 car type in the class). And altough this is also interesting, AC doesn't really do multi class very well, and it's difficult to have a nice competitive race.

Anyway to maybe help some people, that are also looking for this, I think I found a group of 6 cars that run pretty close to each other (within a second a lap on most tracks) and could also realistically run against each other in real life. Let's call it a "natural" BOP, and the class is WSC 1967 p2000. The cars:

• Matra
• Alfa Tipo 33
• Porsche 910
• Porsche 906E
• Chevron B8 BMW
• Ferrari Dino 206

Get a 4 of each for example and you can have a very nice competitive race. Here a screenshot mid race of mine. Would be even closer if I wasn't blocking the cars behind me

RSS one is made by John777, not this one.

Thanks for this. Even just looking at the image, those texture changes look great.
I gave the new haybale fizix a thrash last night and it is SO much better. 11/10 would recommend.
In fact, I wish every historic track modder would take a look.

Yep, I guess... and I'm tempted to upgrade to a 5700X3D... but I'm not keen on trying my wife's patience and provoking her wrath if I tell her I'm going to spend more money (again) on my grown-up man sim toy... 😰

I have an 5600x although I only have a 6700XT 12GB. I have the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler and can easily maintain 5ghz without any thermal issues. Before you go spending money I would try squeezing as much as you can out of the 5600x. Ryzen Master is an easy to use official AMD tool for overclocking.

This new one on RD and the RSS one both use the Kunos track as a base.
Seems both are effectively extensions to the existing track, not dissimilar to Pyyer's method.
Very strange that both should come out within a few days of each other, but I'm not complaining.

I'm not new to AC but this is the first time I have seen that hay bales can be set on fire...I had no idea. Excuse the period inappropriate car, but I knew it could throw some flames. This made my day.

not actually accurate. It is an update to the kunos track. CC made the pit building as a show room but went a bit wild and decided to remake a bunch more. He got john involved. They are still working on it as, I believe, CC has also redone the F1 Pit building as well. Who knows, the new hotel may be on the list too. It was released as version 0.75 so it is possible even more is planned.

I worked on that texture.I havnt seen it throw an error.(then again,my copy isnt encryted) Does it happen on other CSP versions?

Well, I must have installed it wrong back when it came out cause I had a separate Silverstone with the RSS one, then I read the comment from Masscot about missing content that Pyyer had and never tried it

it is a separate track but it uses the kunos layout. It is why you have to copy kunos files over to the new track in order for it to work.

No sir. It just worked as expected out of the box, with what I thought were appropriate, and different, slowdowns depending on the depth of the "graze" and violence of the collision.

I dont like that it replaces the original track. Pyver makes the updates as skins. how does this compare to Pyvers 2024 extention?

This new one on RD and the RSS one both use the Kunos track as a base.

Last year I got download crazy with mods and tonight I deleted all non Kunos cars, and kept my VRC, RSS, and URD cars. The only thing is that I love late 80's to early/mid 90's touring cars and I wanted to know who has the best besides the VRC pack. I think I have narrowed it down but I'd like some more educated opinions from this community. Tommy78, PM3DM, CyrilCherry, or someone else? I like finished interiors and I remember having issues with somebody's interiors but I can't remember who because I had such a bloated list of cars to try to parse through and I got sick of the bloat and went scorched earth on 100's of gigs of cars. Let me know your opinions please

Please can you post the fix/suggestion? The team are working on a patch (apologies if you've already shared with them) so would be useful to know.

That's not one I've seen before and I know plenty of people who have been able to use it, although not sure any are specifically on 0.2.5 - please can you try a fresh install of the car?

It's also made like a new layout, so it does not replace the original track. Two additional layouts actually (GP 2024 and Classic 2024 i think they are called). So no hurt in trying it out. Can always be deleted. But in my opinion it looks and feels better than Pyver's versions. The new runoff areas and the curbs, that it has, are based on real life changes made to the track in last few years. It also has some more new objects around the track. Again, personal preference, you'll just have to try it. You can always bin it, if you like Pyver's or JohnR versions better. At this point we are just spoiled for choice on this track.

No, this is basicaly it. Only one you're missing are the 1991 and 1995 versions of Vauxhall Cavalier made by the late Shaun Clarke (RIP). Especially the 1995 car is awesome. It was a labour of love as he was perfecting how it drives for years I think, also colaborating and fine tweaking it in the process with a pro driver, that was driving that car in real life.

I wish someone talented could make a good 1987-1990 version. The one that exists from the 1988 mod, is… terrible, which is unfortunate as most of the tracks from that selection are ok.

The 1988 is the Carrera4 rFactor 1 track which was based on the 1979 which was based on f1 challenge track^^ so the base is probably 20-22 years old^^.

That's my hope too, for RSS to do a complete 2024+ revamp with all the current changes included.
Pyyer's extension is admirable, but some of the modelling is a little basic and the hotel link bridge isn't particularly accurate. His extension also suffers with his trademark texture flickering which for me always makes them unusable unless I take time to fix them myself.

Ahh yes! In geometry and geography terms this looks much more representative.
