Mentioning Gary Mac has reminded me of that wonderful free-kick he scored in the Liverpool derby.

Just thought id let you guys know that im off to bed now, so ill pick this up tomorrow..night night! :)

Dominic Matteo! That's a brilliant shout!

I can only think of players with 100 games... John Collins, Shaun Maloney, Craig Gordon...

Good question.

276 for Matteo..113 for Collins..cant find Calderwood on the list, but ill keep looking as its a big list!!

I dont know to much about the other player...but do you want me to give you a clue?

YES! Telfer is correct!!!

Gary McAllister made 325 apps and Telfer made 318 apps...

So dhandeh and you were right Liquid..its up to you two now! :)

In a similar vein, mainly 'cos I can't think of anything else, name the 3 Frenchmen* who have played in over 300 Premier League games?

* Not necessarily born in France, (only one of them was) but they have played for France internationally.

William Gallas?

Other than him and the two guys Famine mentioned I can't think of anyone else right now that could have played 300 games.

Fabian Barthez
Robert Pires
Nope and nope. 92 & 198 respectively.
Yep. 343.

That's the 2 "easy" ones got. Now you're looking for a Frenchman who was born in Belgium....

EDIT: Just found another one, so there's 4 in total. Anelka and Vieira are 2, 2 still to get.

The new one was born in France, but has not been capped. The "Belgian" Frenchman has only been capped at U21 level.

Malbranque? He might have been around long enough to play 300 games.
Yep. He's the Belgian Frenchman. 336 appearances.

Now, the one that's left has the highest number of appearances for a Frenchman...

He wasn't saying Saha was incorrect because he's a defender - he was saying Saha is incorrect because he isn't a defender and the correct answer is someone who is.
