Huh??? you said four frenchmen??
The four Frenchman of the apocalypse. Saha is wrong primarily as he hasn't made 300 appearances. The bloke we're looking for has, and is a defender.
Sylvain Distin.
Bingo. 350 EPL appearances.

Ash32 got 2 so he should probably go next. If no question from Ash then Famine or dhandeh can have a go.

I'm happy for someone to go for me, I don't think I'll be able to come up with a good question.:sly:

I thought about Distin too but I didn't think he had that many.

I know he scored one against Volgograd in the UEFA cup in '91..we lost the tie on away goals!

How many Premiership goals did Peter Schmeichel score for Manchester United?

I believe this is a trick question as Schmiechel has only ever scored a EPL goal once for Villa, so I'll say 0.

This is also considering that only 4 goals have ever been scored by goalkeepers in the EPL, Schmiechel, Howard, Robinson and Friedal.

Boom. Matty gets this one, because his answer was more assured than the other speculative efforts.

Schmeichel's only Premiership goal came in a defeat for Aston Villa against Everton. Even more amazing, is that despite his reputation as an occasional goalscorer, he only scored once for the club where he spent the bulk of his career, Manchester United. A goal during the 1995/96 season in European competition. In total, he scored 10 goals; 6 for Hvidovre; 2 for Brondby; 1 for Manchester United; 1 for Aston Villa. Apart from the aforementioned United goal, all were league goals.

Which player scored the first ever Premier League goal?

Yep it was Deane who scored it and Schmeical who conceded it!, so thats right unless its a trick question!

How many different managers have won the English top flight with more than one team and who were they?

Correct. But there are more. And they're a long time in the past.

Brian Clough - Derby County (1972), Nottingham Forest (1978) TyrrellRacing
Kenny Dalglish - Liverpool (1986, 1988, 1990), Blackburn Rovers (1995) TyrrellRacing

Does Robert Brown count?

He was manager of Wednesday from 1920-1933 and won the league in two successive season - 1928-29 and 1929-30. Only in 1929 we won the league as "The Wednesday" and in 1930 we won it as "Sheffield Wednesday"... :D

Close, but no cigar.

One of them is an obscure turn-of-the-century manager, the other is a famous, pre-war manager.

Ha! Then I claim the answer as "four!"

That's worth a point, surely? :D

Good lad. And with this...

Herbert Chapman? With Huddersfield Town and then Arsenal.

...we're looking for just one more.

Herbert Chapman - Huddersfield Town (1924, 1925), Arsenal (1931, 1933) mohitraina91
