Between them, daan and dhandeh have got it right. Liverpool's Didi Hamann and Tottenham's Christian Ziege.

Hamann started the game in midfield, while Ziege was an unused substitute. The only other player in the German XVIII to not play club football in Germany was Monaco's Oliver Bierhoff.

So... one of you may post a question. Points awarded accordingly.

Who has played for Everton, for Liverpool, against Everton against Liverpool, for England and against England?

Hmm, the last criterion is throwing me, but I can only think of Nick Barmby at the moment.

With the England thing..im guessing for/against England at schoolboy level and then for/against England at senior level??

...Nick Barmby is the only one i can think of at the mo as well..

Hmm, now some more Everton and Liverpool players:

Abel Xavier. Not English.

Carragher, Fowler and Owen are all Everton fans. Could be some sort of tenuous link there.

The England thing has completely stumped me! im guessing he was a full Englan international and then he played against them for a rest of the world team in a friendly...or if it was Soccer Aid or something...

All incorrect.

Bold bit is almost correct, it was a select XI from a locale.

Three pieces of trivia for you. It doesn't always have to be questions...

Fernando Torres becomes the first player to win the Champions League, Europa League, European Championships and the World Cup.

The sometimes quoted fact that Gabriel Batistuta was the last Welsh speaking footballer to score at the Old Wembley, in a Champions League match against Arsenal at a time when Arsenal used Wembley for European home fixtures, is a myth. Gabriel Batistuta is not from the Welsh speaking part of Argentina and cannot speak Welsh. However, Gabriel Heinze can.

David Beckham is the only Englishman to win league titles in four different countries. England (Manchester United); Spain (Real Madrid); United States (Los Angeles Galaxy); France (Paris Saint-Germain).

In response to dhandeh's question, that's a good shout.

I still can't think of who it is.

Jamie Carragher

MOTD just gave that one away. Then I remembered that he scored in his own testimonial for Everton, his boyhood team.

Trivia?

I've just noticed this. In the Scottish League division 3, 2011-12 season the average attendance per game was 475, and the total attendance for all games was 85,528.

Then, Rangers.

In the Scottish League division 3, 2012-13 season the average attendance per game was 5,598, and the total attendance for all games was 1,002,189.

They also set a new World Record for the highest attendance for a 4th tier league game of 50,048.

Let's have an easy one. Somewhat themed because of recent sports losses.

Which team was the first league team to be managed by Brian Clough?

Here is the easy one to get us back started since it has been about a month:

Ben Howard Baker was the only goalkeeper to find the back of the net for Chelsea, accomplishing the feat in 1921. He also held what non-football related record in England for nearly 25 years. Name that event.

Is the answer Kevin Campbell?

For once in this thread, it isn't.

But can you tell me which club was the first in England to be deducted 10 points for going into administration, as per the rule introduced in 2004/05?

I was hoping this was going to be "Which ex-footballing girlfriend-beating sociopath has had a Twitter dummy spit and deleted his account because someone, somewhere said he was an awful human being?"

Anyway, the first I recall was Rotherham, but I remember Bradford City went into administration before them. I half thought there might be a reason why you would ask, but I'll not touch that with a ten foot pole.

Nope to Vegard.

Stan Collie-moore would have made a interesting question Famine, but I was half hoping you'd get it right so you could tease us all with a ludicrously easy question.

I think its either Swindon or MK Dons..

...about time this thread got a revive..

Still no correct answer so far.

Clue: Strictly speaking, the team does not play 'in England'.

Of course it was, who else?

Yes, Wrexham were the first team to be deducted 10 points for entering administration. Ending the season with 43 points, they would have escaped relegation had they had their 53 points.

And it's been a monumental crash ever since...

Your turn, MUSC.

Five different players scored for Team GB in the 2012 Olympics men's tournament. Can you name them?

Got three right, Giggs, Bellamy and Sturridge (who scored twice)...don't think Welbeck and Cleverley were there.

Two more to get, one obvious there other a bit difficult
