Small turnout of racers left tonight but quality racing anyway. Bad luck to the guys who had issues... i feel 4 u all. I have had dramas in the past and it leaves u feeling a bit sad...

On to next weeks challenge!!!!

Hi Lads, I thought that i qualified 2nd behind either Greasy or Gastro they had a 1.51.881 and i had a 1.52.7? I didn't see any faster times comes up so I assumed that I was out of P2 - when I moved forward past Ven I had my foot off the brake . . . i tried to correct this at Turn 1 and let people through? Then with the restart . . . . well had put some really good laps together the had an off and my G27 grew an extra head and stayed on full lock - my race over . . . . I had been practising with DBN and HP for about 30mins along with voice chat and I believe that my internet is stable now that I'm using a patch cable. Everyone else here was in bed and I was the only one using the next . . . I wasn't seeing any Lag?? pretty disappointed. . . anyways . . . next week I guess . . . Cheers Phil
PS: Ven . . . it wasn't the "nationals" - they were held over easter - this was the Pacific Coast Titles . . . hahahahaaha

Hey Phil,

Frustrating night for all, and all we can do is move on to the next round. We had 9 drivers at the beginning of the night and only four drivers crossed the finish line in the end.lol

Pacific Coast Titles Champion ! Great driving achievement Phil ! :gtpflag:

Well my ps3 randomly switched itself off then proceeded to flash its red light... Now it's ok again. Don't think that was network related but who knows after the earlier dramas.

Was looking good in 3rd too, incredibly 🤬 off after such a delay to have it end like that :rage:

I'm off to watch game of thrones, good luck for the rest of race guys.

You jinxed your self with your previous post stating your connection issues. lol

Don't worry HP it's a long season and each race is long and any thing can happen as the last four drivers found out in tonight's race.

Cheers Vendal

Don't know what happened, ps3 just shat itself :(

Lads,

as we continue our search for the best possible proxy host,we will be conducting a test race run in Greasys room this Thursday night at 8 pm.

Please make sure we all attended as we all need to test our own compatibility with GREASY08 room?

Cheers Vendal

so what going on with it?

Well the fan rattles, the pedals needed to be pulled apart and cleaned on the inside with electrical contact spay when they stopped working, the wheel has play in it like its not attached correctly but the showstopper now is the gear paddle not working at all. It has been on its way out for a while now, even in the first race there were a few moments where I could not shift correctly. They use a bit of foam inside a spring to make the paddle press the button. When this 1 cent bit of foam loses its rigidity you then lose the ability to press that button. All T500 wheels will die this way unless they have made revisions since I bought mine.

Luckily the 458 GTE wheel replacement has its own paddles attached. Should be here in 5 days..

hey Vendal,

Any chance I could join the race this coming Monday?

Hey Dave,

Your are welcome to race with us, but you will have to start at the back of the grid and you will not be able to score any points, for obvious reasons.

Make sure you send a friend request to GREASY07 as he will be the proxy host for our Monday night and Friday night race meetings for the remainder of the season.

Cheers Vendal

And I'd just like to add, for those interested, that this track in reverse is a bigger wanker than a Viagra addicted priapism sufferer...

From experience this track is all about torque and clean corner exits, it is most important as most of the tight fiddly corners exit to an uphill straight, a clean exit on GT6 can be worth 10-15kph at the top of the hill,

Got my wheel back up and running so I'll make tonight's race :) But I am really out of practice and I am not used to the new wheel (strange, it should feel the same since its the same base but it feels quite different) yet so I'll be at the back of the pack I think (not like I had a change against those HSVs anyway :P).

Should be fun :)

Great race guys. I am surprised, people dropped like flys. I got hit on lap1, was 40 secs behind, from then I pretty much did a 1 stop, finished with 2 on the front lol. Fun race though.
