Well I started out on the DFP got some splits that (like always) felt smooth but looking at you guys, was behind NeilsG. So I decided...ok ok just this one time, spend 15min on the DS2....now I'll be behind the wheel for forever ahahah

Top Speed - 250
T1 - 18.498
T2 - 56.073
Final - Was okay that dang righty-kink thing always gets me here, would like to see another .2 but likely won't come from T1, T2 or the DFP :P

EDIT - Got a 18.3 and a 56.4 with the DFP and trimmed that last .2 in the final sector and was only .17 behind my ds2 ghost after about 20 more min :D

How do u think i feel everytime i step out on to that track what ever the combo, its always blood sweat and tears, but if i dont like the combo i force my self in to it anyways, people go though the hard work of setting it up so thats why i dont cherry pick the only way to get better i say!

T1 19.829 / T2 59.217

Ok in concluesion heres what i meant by the hole message and which is in basic terms i ment to mean is that...

It takes alot of hard work and dedication to be where i am today, for everyone knows i aint the best driver on the track, which is why i dont pick and choose which race to run, so that i can get better in other aspects of racing, and also takes alot off setting up and running.

hope that as cleared everything up wouldnt want any vendeta on my head

You guys are so funny.
As for my racing, my gt4 disc is screwed up I think. Have to do a little trouble shooting with George to make sure, but the red load clock has overruled the game. I believe its the disc as the ps2 works with other games.
So I'm playing a little BLACK till then.

Use can try using my disc if you want to troubleshoot, Kenny. It may be the console though. It happened to my old one and I couldn't get it clean enough to work again...

You could always buy another one, theyre cheap as chips these days.
I hate D.R.E.'s
:irked:👍

Got a copy of gt4 coming tomorrow so all will (should) be fine.

Thanks all.... :)

Almost had them ship the ps3, but chickened out. It will come soon enough, whenever that is.
Its soon.

No worries, QUIK ;)

A little misunderstanding does happen sometimes, but it always gets solved soon! Just make sure you cherry pick your words when you reply to certain people :mischievous: :sly:

Here are my first splits:
18.382
56.030

It's crowdy at T2!

omg omg omg....I'm not that far behind Hugs at T2 using my wheel? :sly: I'm sure that'l change. Oh and I tried 240 T.S. and it works too :)

Second session and I love, that I don't kill myself each time I make a mistake. Instead I make the meanest drifts all over the place. :dopey:

Guess that makes the combo work so good. Even when I **** up, it's great fun. :D

18.755
56.608

Still leaving a few tenth here and there, especially in the finish. So hope to get one more session in before deadline. :D

Hey guys ok just had an hours session and i got the first and second sector just nearly on par where i want it to be.

But its the sweeping left right after T2 making the car twitch which i have gotta sort out, apart from that and putting it all together nice combo eric and great times i see guys nice one :sly: down side is makes it all the more harder for me :ill:!

T1 19.293 / T2 57.545

New t's from the craplap champion:

19.551 - 58.272

Regretfully I lost the 1.6 advantage at t2 over my previous lap to a meager .5 at the s/f. But what the hell, it's faster so I'll post it 👍

Quick run through at 250 top speed.

Cross the line in 5th, dab the brake and re-apply throttle to take the first uphill left, as soon as the car feels stable again, brake down to third, and apply throttle to gain traction for the first right.
Into 4th, and brake and drive into the left, then brake and drive into the right before T1.
Important to steer the car into the grass on the inside of every turn, as it will understeer outwards anyway, so over-compensate.
I grabbed 2nd for a millisecond after T1, to take the right, then upto 5th as i went uphill.
Crossing the crest, its down to third before you fall off the course, and straight on the power as soon as you get 3rd gear, up into 4th, passing the overhead bridge, still flat out, and into 5th.
Two car lengths into the dark braking area, i come down to 3rd, and lift off the brake pedal, allowing the car to pivot for the double right. As soon as it starts to move, its back on full throttle and accelerate over T2, into 5th before i get there.
As i pass T2, i dab the brake and drive the kerb on the left;- Very important, as this will stabilize the car for the following right over the crest and down towards the grass. Running the kerbs up at T2 will help a lot.
Down the hill, and aim to run the inside kerb with a small dab on the brake going into the annoying right hander, that either makes or breaks your lap.
As i get alongside the cones on the left, i hit the brake.
Down to second for the hairpin, and hit the power much earlier than you would ever think, as the car will stick.
Im in 3rd before ive finished turning out of the hairpin, and 5th before i cross the line.

Or summin like that.

:irked:👍

Ok time for Mikey to post his first splits on this but i must say this car is great. Nothing like it felt with the settings i had it on for the photo lap. 👍

18.381/55.814

finally back in the cockpit again. First 5 laps were a blast! hope to have some decent splits soon...

Edit: here's something to get started with: 18.441 / 56.553
feels like the car oversteers a bit and takes me by surprise. Great combo Erik 👍

Damn! you guys are fast...I think im out classed in this ATR series by a long shot.

But ill see it though to the end and try get that podium in one race haha (never going to happen)...

QUIK!

hitting this awesome combo while I have some time this morning. Made lots of improvements on the 3rd sector although my first two don't really represent. made up .3 at the line since the previous splits.

18.466 / 56.531

This car is amazing once it gets pointed in the right direction... I have been using 250 but thinking of other gears. What are you all using?

Back behind the wheel today after spending a few days out East.

First splits after 10 laps or so.

19.478
58.473

About where I expected to be as compared to you quick fella's.

This combo reminds me of a mix between the qualifier and the week 112 race that was the JGTC MR2 at Autumn ring. Quirky little car that spits and grabs while trying to account for all of those off camber turns can be a handfull.

Thanks Erik, for going with RS tires. 👍 Helps minimize the impact of the inevitable mistakes.

Think I am going to take a few laps out on the dirt and I will get back over to this one.

Kevin

Just Lovin' it. Looks like T1 doesn't matter much here. Had an 18.3xx...

18.536 / 56.247

Damn Mike, that's quick :scared: Hi Jake, glad to see you get some wheel time in 👍

I ran a few more laps today, nothing special but I'm getting there.

18.827 (18.42) / 56.630

UPDATE: Steven, Mike, Kevin, Jake, and me 👍

If you don't mind me asking, what is T1 and T2?, I presume they are the times at which you cross the lines that make the numbers flash on your screen.

You are correct.

Here's my first splits

19.848
59.583

This is my first ever GTP race series so be gentle. :scared:

EDIT: Times.

19.640
59.276

(oh ****, just realised, just after my t2 time, i went off the track :( )

New times, with added lack of going off track.

19.254
58.978

A second session and some new splits. Picked up a little over a second at the line. :)

19.101
57.865

I like the Thursday deadline as well, this will be neat. 👍

Kevin

I'm finding time here, but slowly.

I'm trying 260 gearing as I'm finding 250 is topping out through the last section now.

I wish I could say I'm finding consistency at T2, but I'm not - not even sub 56.6. It's the brake after the crest and left down the hill that's getting me. I'm braking at the surface colour change, down to 3rd, drifting it in and trying not to drop below 80 while nailing the throttle and trying not to either A) oversteer into the green tyres on the left, or B) understeer off the track (at any point) on the right while keeping it buried. The perfect line is one of those miraculous moments... which I grumpily acceed that Ren-Tec and VEXD have found, but I have not. :D

However, I think I'm strong in the last section now. I used to brake for VEXD's left/annoying make-or-break right, but now a lift to balanced throttle before the left and a smooth non-kerb entry and exit allows you to carry min 118/119 through the whole complex and the car is much less snappy. Translating this onto the uphill section and staying off the kerbs is getting me 18.3 / 18.4 at T1. I take the second uphill S in 3rd with the 260 gearing, with barely a lift in fourth and then a dab and changedown before back on the throttle, but off the kerbs all the time. Driving the hairpin seems better at 260 gearing, you're straighter before you change up to 3rd. I still don't think my entry is right, I've changed to a slow-in-fast-out style as opposed to an out-in-out. I'm more consistent that way, but I'm not convinced it's fast as I'm not using all the track.

I'm with you on this one finding that perfect line seems to be, 1 in 10 laps and when i find it i mess up somewhere else lmao, but im sure we'll get there bud!

Back on the DFP.

I love this car.

But.

I hate that hairpin.

Gnashgnashgnash!

Fastest clean lap:

T1: 18.348
T2: 56.555

With a missed shift in T1-T2 and T2-fin. :grumpy:

Fastest clean to T2 is a sub 56, which, quite frankly, surprised the heck out of me. Fastest clean T1 is sub 18.3.

Watch out. :D

Just put in fastest overall by 0.600 seconds on a 18.6xx/56.6xx. Found a new fastest line up the hill, can see 18.2xx in the first split (yah rly!) Time to string it all together...:mischievous:👍

Had a mid-day session. I'm getting use to this combo now.

01GTP 19.135 / 57.454

Using 240 top speed, 230 red lines too much.
