August update Predictions

I don’t really see that anyone ever expected to have all such tracks in GT7. Rather it’s a list of tracks that contain many of the upcoming additions.

If they add new tracks for 2 years with a new one appearing every 2 months we could expect to see ~10+ new ones at most. Many of those are hopefully among those on the list.
Kazounari did mention he would like to enhance GT7 extensively longer than GTSport
- Kaz, “watch over the growth of Gran Turismo 7 from a somewhat longer term point of view”

Let's stretch GT7 update calendar to maximum three years.
Note: GT4, GT5, GT6 & GTSport each introduced 4-to-7 NEW real-life race circuits.

While people can definitely see themselves PLAYING GT7 over the long term 6+ years. No one wants the drip-fed content model over the entire period. At some point greater than the 6mth over lap with GT8, most would like to think they're playing the full game they paid for.

@NRA - cool graphic for the tracks above!

Where’s Valencia from GTPSP? That could make a surprise return to the series.
Here's my ignorance oo full display, but isn't Valencia... Barcelona/Catalunya??

edit: looked them up. yup, they're completely different!!

That's a massive reach. Yamauchi was talking about the rage response to the 34-hour outage and game economy nerf in late March:
I wanted to explain what happened in this update.

Immediately before the release of Update 1.07, we discovered an issue where the game would not start properly in some cases on product versions for the PS4™ and PS5™.

This was a rare issue that was not seen during tests on the development hardware or the QA sessions prior to the release, but in order to prioritise the safety of the users' Save Data, we decided to interrupt the deployment of Update 1.07, and to create Update 1.08 to fix this issue.

This is the reason for the delay. My sincere apologies for the late report to everyone.

Also in this update, some event rewards have been adjusted. I want to explain also the reasons for it and our plans going forward.

In GT7 I would like for users to enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions. At the same time the pricing of cars is a relevant element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with the real world prices.

I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars in a lot of different ways, and if possible I would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again.

We will let you know in time about the update plans for additional content, race events and features that will constructively resolve this situation.

It pains me that I can’t go into any further details at this moment, but we plan on continuing to revise GT7 so that as many players as possible can enjoy the game.

We would really appreciate it if everyone could watch over the growth of Gran Turismo 7 from a somewhat longer term point of view.

He was asking the fans not to judge the game by the first three weeks but by what's going to come over a longer period of time, not stating that GT7 would be supported for longer than GT Sport was.

You post this a lot... but what exactly is half-anime girl, half-antivaxxer supposed to convey?

Although many recent posts are barely related to the August update and predictions of what it might contain, this is entirely unrelated - and I have no idea what you're even asking as I've never had any issue putting any car on the Nurburgring right back to GT4.

Could you explain your issue in a more appropriate thread?
You can only use German cars

Maybe true, but we have lots of experience with the "speed" of PD and how easy Kaz gets derailed with the next gee-whiz idea

Well, with the current pace he will need 6-7 years. There is still tracks with ONE, i repeat ONE, yes a S I N G L E event to do on those tracks. And this is with 400+, i repeat 400+!!! cars on our hands and plenty of other variables to play around with.
And just to add to the insult the events in the game now that makes it just remotely possible to get the unicorns are still in single digits.

I am essentially playing GT7-Sport now, if the daily (weekly) races combos aren't something i care for i hardly play for a week.
I have the cars i wanted, way faster than expected, and the cars left are so stupid expensive that it would be a grind to get them, and that is not my kind of fun..

I predict Koenigseggs as the August updates vehicles period.......nuff said.

Maybe one more track, SEATTLE comeback please. ;)
I'm just glad you aren't betting your house or actual amounts of rediculous money on this because knowing the odd direct PD tends to go..theres's a chance you might be Broke or Homeless...or both if you are feeling VEEEERRRRY foolish.

I didn't bet anything lol, where is this misconception come from? HAHA. But what I will bet is a useless 4star roulette reward part that you will never ever use in your entire GT7 gaming life.

And maybe one single packet of doritos so everyone can enjoy a snack while driving the zero new cars that are not Koenigsieggs. :irked:

Bruh how and why do you think Koenigsiegg is coming to the August update?

I don’t know where the sudden predictions of larger content drops and new-to-series brands are coming from, especially from the patterns we’ve seen so far.

Seems like it’ll be 3 cars and 3-5 new engine swap combos each month, and a track every ~2 months.

There’s no real leads on any particular cars aside from the model 3 way back.

The only slight possibility of more comes from two one things

1. This is the first month they haven't done the early-month bugfix patch, suggesting they're planning on one bigger patch.
2. Some dude running an esports league in the Middle East was supposedly told by Sony/PD there would be two larger updates between July and October.

I didn't say that you did, I was pretty much referencing all the beyond optimistic hopes people have seemingly disregarding how often PD Never meets such lofty hopes.
