hahahahaha I'm just **** at typing, the only problem with that sentence is my failed attempt to hit the "t" key after 'n' and 'o'.

Also, my gf speaks better english than me hahaha she didn't come over in a boat

On the subject of lousy English skills I just saw this in my post

you've got ideas for hand-capping it as you do mention

Is that the sound of one hand clapping???

Oh yeah about the Cobra: I remember there being a series in GT4 that was called 1000km something where you raced 4 x 250km races in pre 1970's cars. La Sarthe & Nordscheilf were featured + 2 others.

Anyway, I keep having the Shelby Cobra being an AI car and it would bolt from the pack. I wanted to race and beat it, knowing that it would be a good challenge. So I kept trying to take it on with every other pre 1970 car I could find. I tuned up lightweight euros = never powerful enough. I tried every US muscle car I could = only just able to hold pace with it, but then used tyres twice as quick. In the end I could only beat it using an AC cobra.

It was an interesting process and the lesson learnt stuck with me.

After some testing, we have been thinking of a few changes for the muscle enduro.

First of all, and most importantly, drivers cannot change the exhaust on their car, you must run the standard exhaust.

And we are thinking of ways to not make the race a battle of the Mustang Mach 1 and the Z28... so maybe getting rid of premium cars all together for this race.... thoughts?

Its not really about keeping the premium cars so you guys can run what cars you like, its about finding a group of cars that run similar times. Some of the standard cars are running 5 or 6 seconds slower than the premium cars.

Not trying to force everyone to agree we should ban the premium cars, just seeking for some closer racing...

If you are finding closer racing with standard cars, then by all means get rid of the premiums.
Closer racing is always better.
Or why not just have Premiums?

This is the final list. Only the cars in this list that are not crossed out can be used. I have left the ones that have been crossed out because everyone keeps asking me about those cars. Therefore here is a list of the valid and invalid cars.

YOU MUST RUN STANDARD EXHAUST ON ALL CARS, you can install the Sports exhaust manifold and catalytic converter, but leave the standard exhaust on.

All cars will be set to 550pp. Racing Hards and Racing Mediums are the compounds drivers can use. In prep for the XR8 enduro. We are going to run similar rules to the V8 Supercars and make it a rule that you must use the 2 compounds at least once during the race. Therefore if you would like to run mediums for the race, you must atleast whack on a set of Hards once during the race, you can put them on at the start run 1 lap and come in to change if you want, as long as you run at least 1 lap with each compound. Also you cannot mix and match diff compounds between stop (Racing mediums on front and Racing Hards on the rear).

As per usual now, the tyre you qual on is the tyre you run the race.
Yes, there is cars that are quicker than others, but they tend to be a lot heavier and should result in horrible tyre wear. The race wont be that much about pace and more about who can make their tyres last the longest, decide on a car and let me know what you are running, There is no limit to the amount of each car to run we just don't want everyone running 2 cars out of that list.

Rota's going to take Jol's lead here and go with "Helenor" (GT350 Shelby Mustang) as well. Did some testing in the early hours this morning as well and reckon i've got partial control of it.:nervous:

Sounds good velly, please read previous posts and note that we are only running the stock exhaust, so we don't ruin the sound of each car.

Also, I will remind you all closer to the race, but you will have to use both compounds during the race at least once, no mix and matching, as long as you use one full set of mediums and one full set of softs, your all good. Cheers

cheers mate, mine to stardard but i will have a read to see what i can do it.
I can also help hout if anyone needs a car as i am abit of a collecter ;)
