It clearly states AUS/NZ in the title.

Send Rota a PM, you should be OK since there are a few spots open. Given the fact I might not be able to connect or race :-(

Judging by the amount of foreigners that wander into public rooms with "AUS/NZ ONLY" in the title , I think it's fair to say that most have no idea what that means.

Racingworld.be , would you able to spread the word to your countrymen please ? It's not fear of foreigners.....it's fear of lag !

Easy communication is also an issue

Sorry guys been away for the week, You are all welcome as long as you are in AUZ or NZ, so obviously not racingworld.be, sorry mate, for others wanting to join, just add me and maybe also spinner for prac sessions and you will be in the race sunday night. There should be heaps of room, all we need to hope for now is for psn and gt5 to work together.

Perhaps there's confusion thinking that the AUS/NZ is a reference to a type of racing series. ie NASCAR, DTM, BTCC etc

It's understandable that if you're not a local then the abreviations will mean little.

Whats everyone doing round SSR5? I'm getting 1:21's on Hards and 1:19's on mediums, just trying to work out what tyre most people will run and what times they doing on them to judge the number of laps. I think 80 laps sounds right? Feel free to blast me if 80 sounds stupid and will be way off the 1.5 to 2 hour time we aim for.

And spin, I will be here for sunday for sure now, everything sorted for now

Laps will be decided tomorrow night during qually.

Qual will run like last time, ONLY RUN THE COMPOUND YOU WISH TO START THE RACE ON DURING QUAL.
so if you want to start the race on mediums, you cannot jump on the track during qual with softs on.

THANKS SPIN! FORGOT TO MENTION!

WHOEVER HAS THE UGLIEST RX-7 WINS BONUS POINTS!!!!

only because I think the car looks good in every colour haha. So rock up with the worst colour to win

Yeah Spinner the matt olive green wheels really push it over the ugliness line.

Hey I might be able to make tonight's race.

Gotta get some practice in.

I know a lot of you will not read this message before the race tonight. But I want to try get this enduro as real as possible so little changes will be made each race to try enhance the overall experience while at the same time not creating a race that many will rage quit and leave.

I want to make it like many real life series, where as once you jump on track to start qual, you cannot change aspects of the car once on track. Ideally to understand what im trying to say, once you jump on for qual start. You cannot jump off track... at all, so now changing compounds, (obviously canc hange if driven into pit lane still), not transmission tuning, or suspension, nothing. therefore its key to get in when I open the room (which says 7.15, but im normally on much earlier) and get all your tuning and compound choosing done before qual start.

I know this is not going to happen first race, but i would like it to start being used and respected as part of the race. Its only 1 race each month, not hard to find time in 4 weeks to get your car sorted for the race, so no "oh i didnt have time so can i jump out during qual and quickly change my settings?"

Good luck tonight everyone, looking forward to seeing you on the track :), We will have pretty low count tonight so feel free to welcome any friends and make sure they add me well before race start.

Good stuff rota. I agree completley, and your right, we have plenty of time to tune it, even though i haven't yet, haha.

Guys don't think I can make it tonight. Apologies for the late notice. I will try and get there but looking unlikely at moment.

Jas, might be running a shorter race (but still 1.5hrs at least), let me know if your only ganna be 5 or 10 late, im sure we can wait

Well, ****. After having a smooth race, onlineGT had a spin on a blind corner, and i went straight into him, losing a good 10 seconds. Then i got too close to a wall, and the wall put me into a spin, the car literally bounced off the wall and went into a spin. Lost more time.

Then i was catching mic, and he was all over the place, hitting the walls, and then out of nowhere! BAM! I get disconnected.

Nice april fool's joke PSN. *clap*....*clap*.....*clap*

There was a nice battle going for 1 st place, between Rota, Jol and GT, too bad i couldn't be a part of it.
I also did a lap of 1.17:1xx during the race.

Good race everyone!

Stape mate, I wasn't yelling at you in the thought i meant it.

Because of the way you parked it, my b-spec driver pulled up to a complete stop, and waited there for like 5 seconds, and cost me my race.

So sorry if it sounded mean to you, didnt mean it. have a look at the replay if you saved it.

Anywayz thanks everyone will update as soon as possible what we doing next month

Was Indeed a good race. If only I actually had a pit strategy instead of pitting when I felt like it... Well done to Jol for the win.

Was a close finish , well done all !

Sorry about running into the back of you on lap 59 Stape. I had Rusty closing in on me with fresh rubber , while my tyres weren't great and I was hoping to just squeeze past you. The gap disappeared. Sorry mate.

I continued to work on the ugly during the race , she was looking pretty shoite by the end ...haha.

I had very little prep for the race. As I only worked out that I'd be able to turn up to it that morning.

I basically had 1/2 hour to set up and do some test laps yesterday afternoon.

For the race I figured that if I drove clean and ran RH tyres I could benefit from the 'overlap' when the rest of the field pitted (all else running RM tyres I guessed).

Anyway by the time of my first pit-stop, finish of lap14, I had been able to leapfrog up into 5th (or was it 6th) so I thought it was looking like it might work out for me.

But by lap 27 I had not jumped up in the order again and was running in 8/9. So I realised than that the tyre plan wasn't working. I put RM's on and just drove to hold position. Which was easy as a few of the guys running in lower order fell out of the race for various reasons. PAWEL's disconn issue raised it's head again.

By the time I'd gotten used to the car on RM's, the next car ahead of me was geti, he was basically 7/8ths of a lap ahead. I could tell this as each lap as I pulled onto the start of the main straight you get a moment where the names of cars driving on the track underneath you are visible. I was seeing geti's name there each lap.

So catching him was probably not going to happen. I could knuckle down and turn clean laps and keep him from lapping me, if that's any sort of a success. So that's what I did to the end of the race, without seeing too many other cars.

But it was good to get some solid time in the seat for the first time on a while.

Hey everyone, we have not completely tested everything yet, but thought I would give you all a heads up on the cars for the next enduro, we have crossed out the use of sports tyres for these beasts to create closer and more enjoyable racing.

Also, we encourage you to run a standard car, would'nt be any fun if we all jumped on track in Mach 1's and Z28's would it

Just running an eye over that list, the Cobra (AC and Shelby) stands out as mis-matched cars compared to the rest of the pack.

The cobra is way different to the rest of them, very powerful and so much lighter and better handling not too sure about the handling in GT5, but it was in GT4

Handling aside, weight difference alone puts it into a different category. The rest are your classic American muscle cars, big bodied, but powerful.

I'm sure thought that you've got ideas for hand-capping it as you do mention power and weight regs.

hey mic, yeh we know the massive difference, I just put the entire list that fits the main category up, we havent even done much testing yet, even with 200kg's on it i don't think it will even meet the min weight regs so not too much to worry about :)
