Best of luck in your recovery Rob. Wish you well and hope to see you on track soon !

Hi there Joe, long time no see. The schedule looks good to me.
Much better to have the two N3's (or 2 Suzy 550's) rather than 2 at Daytona at least.
We did a few races at Fuji N3 last night, and was good fun, albeit a little loose! Takes a little while to get the groove on for that one. A good challenge, though there will be carnage!.
I've already done many races in the NSX at Suzuka, and that been great too, though maybe others would like another car for that event.

Looks good to me mates, I haven't done any racing at DR for the AWD event. However Eiger will be good for me.:)
So are...what time shall we start the racing?:D

Thx for your concern guys, just something going on that will have me fade in and out for a while.

Races look good (thanks Wayne). I assume you are running the 9.06pm NZ, 7.06 AU start times then every 20 mins.

I'll look forward to being there when I can next few weeks.

Rob

I have started to edit the races times but i'm not sure how long some of these events are.

Eiger? - Rusty you sound like your've got that one sorted - how long to run it please?

Suzuka takes around 12mins plus matching etc.

Daytona takes around 10mins plus crashes etc into T1

I would say about 8 minutes including matching (usually slow).
For some unknown reason I don't get a final race time at the end of the race when the rsults screen shows up?
Anyway, see you on the track,;)đź‘Ť

hmm looks like I won't be making it tonight. My PS3 refuses to sign into PSN with an error (8001050F) on more than one account, yet I can still access the 'net through the PS3 ok.

edit:: Seems to be a widespread problem, throughout Australia/NZ and US only on certain PS3 models too. I have a 40Gb Fat PS3 (actually 500Gb now).
i don't expect a quick fix as they (Sony) have been aware of the issue for over 7 hours.

Yeah PSN is down, on Twitter Sony confirmed that the Slim was connecting to the PSN. But the 40GB of mine and Ripping's are still down. I'm a little disappointed...I was expecting a good run tonight.:(
Oh well, bring on FNR!:D:tup:

Well that would explain why i won every race!!

Edit: I just noticed that was the 1000th post on this thread!! Well done gentlemen for keeping this thing alive for so long...roll on the next 1000th.

no solution as yet. 24 hours ago, Sony said they hope to fix it within 24 hours.
Its like a Y2K bug for certain models, big thread on it in the PS3 section on GTPlanet. Hundreds of 1000's affected it seems.
Don't hold your breath.

1415hrs NZDST: well I just tried mine again, and it has signed in OK, even though the date is 30th April 2020.

Another MNR comes round. I should be up for it tonight. Probably the last one of this round of events as I believe the race update happens this Thursday night.
The F430 at Fuji, and the NSX at Suz have been the ones to go for this time round for me. Lets see what comes up Thursday.

I will try to be online tonight, looking forward to catching up with, and hopefully passing, you guys.

Rob

Hey guys,i will be racing tonight hopefully with a special guest, Dan Holland. I have been doing some racing at fuji in the R35 GTR with him and it has been some of the best racing I have had. We have had seven races at fuji in total with consistent low 1'52's min. laps for all 10 laps. Our lap speed is very similar same with driving lines, although he seems to be more vulnerable with making mistakes. It should make for some very interesting racing with some of the other quick guys like vrrm,Toivonen,Joe90,rippin silk,Paulie etc. Looking forward to some fast friendly racing. đź‘Ť

Ps. Good to see you back Rob hope your feeling better. Hopefully we see you tonight. Now that you officially own a Ford,we are no longer friends:lol: :mischievous:

Yep, Some intense battles we have had, it's a shame though that the Slip Streaming has a huge impact on the result of the races, especially at tracks like Fuji. Looking forward to racing tonight;)

Yep Devie the R35 at Fuji on N3's is a peach, pity I only discovered it yesterday. Mid to high 52's seemed my go though.

I get you might be jealous of my owning G6ET (albeit I don't get it until end of April).

If Holden had continue to develop a forced induction V6 instead of lapsing back to a lumbering V8 whose exhaust note sounds like guzzle guzzle, I could get that pride in the marque might have enabled you to deign friendship compatible with the owner of a different brand.

As it is I will simply wait patiently until the revised V8 competition in 2012 brings in Mercedes and maybe Audi to watch with satisfaction the demise of any pretentions Holden has to competitiveness when forced to race something more recent than 50 year old engine technology.

When those days arrive I will be there ready to offer your despair a nice clean hanky in friendhship.

Rob

LOL Rob,well written. Guzzle, guzzle lol. They do sound like rubbish with the factory exhaust i have to admit, but when I refer to holden commodores I mean my own,and you would definetly love my 500hp beast if you drove it. Did you take the time to at least drive an SS?? You should have been quite impressed with the guzzle, guzzle the Ford up, performance LOL.
It would also take a bit more than you owning a Ford to loose my friendship ;)

Nope Steve didn't try the SS, bought the G6ET because it looks pretty standard, has leather & electric seats, works for an old guy. Lol. Sometime we might get the chance to compare cars, would be fun.

Speaking of fun I ordered a Soundracer - see

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9XAC-BvUyo

My youngest son has his L's and thinks he's pretty hot, actually he's a pretty good driver, every Friday arvo I pick him up from his school about 70km away and he drives home. Can't wait to see the look on his face when he starts the Subaru Forester with the Soundracer plugged in and hears a raw V10. Lol.

Anybody got any thoughts on the events for MNR? I think there is some good stuff to pick from this month. Personally I'd like us to include the F2007 world race, and if we include the other world race at Suzuka 700PP (I think) I reckon we should go for whatever we conclude is the fastest car for the track PP level, tuned Clio is fastest I've found so far, but with short wheelbase can be a pig to drive.

Anybody got any thoughts?

Rob

Good to see you guy's will still be friends!

The soundracer looks like a good way to get a ticket on the way home!

As for the events....my thoughts on high PP events at Suzuka have changed in recent times with 550pp by far being the more competitive & controllable - 700pp is just abit manic - but "when in Rome" - maybe a single car event to keep it even.

Fuji with F1.......hope you have got your oxygen mask ready - 20laps!

Daytona Oval 550pp RWD...would have to be a N tyre event just to make it interesting - maybe F40 on N1's

HSR 600pp AWD....not sure

Will try some over the weekend & give you some feed back.

PS: Great show of speed last night Rob - as tough as ever!

Will be on tonight - but maybe my last appearance for awhile (work)

Hope we get a few Vipers on the track at the same time - what a noise!

I have been getting into the F1 have not driven it for aleast a year(had to go buy it yesterday).....Suzuka was to tough, but Fuji is alot of fun - 20laps = 27mins approx.
Got myself a good time in the online TT but no way could i keep that pace for 20 laps.

Hope you got that table bolted down this time Rob!

Handsome looking schedule đź‘Ť

I will be doing a decent amount of practice this arvo - I've had enough of embarrasing myself week after week

You guys are in for real trouble tonight. Only fair to warn you that I've lowered the table, installed panhard rods, still has the orange whip aerial attached of course, now handles way better. And I'm thinking about installing a NOS system - for the driver not the car.

Speaking of nitrous oxide, time was three or more decades ago people around here discovered that not only did the gas have a certain charm as a social drug, but it was also legal to buy. Many a party there was with a gas bottle used to inflate balloons that participants then inhaled and exhaled into for that unmistakeable ZING. One couple took the idea to the natural extreme, parked and canoodling on top of Mt Dandenong (great view of Melbourne from up there, a gee whizz carpet sparkling lights at night), they rolled up the car windows and opened up the NOS bottle filling the car with whoopee gas. All was good until one of them lit a cigarette.

The result was significantly and instantly brighter than the combined IQ of the occupants. At least they went out with a bang! lol.
