Great choices Rypien!

The fwd cars provide much closer racing, and if we get the same sort of numbers as last time punters wont be a problem.

Please dont push start before the exact time when matching. My man Joeninety missed out on like 2 races because people were sneaking in early to grab the grid spots. He is a master of racing and i want to see him back at his best asap

Great racing on monday, This track is very difficult to drive fast if you have someone close in front or behind because to go fast you have to take very wide and late entrys to the corners which opens up huge gaps for people to pass down the inside which in turn slows your exit (and theirs)

That is why we saw huge gaps opening up to the leaders.

The last race was the best by far, It was me, Vrmm and Rypien at the front for pretty much the whole race i think, finished less than a second apart.

I also learned that you should just let the idiots in clios go past instead of trying to ram them off haha

Also Rypien i saw the competitions you guys had at Prancing Horses house!!
Cool as, i swear i remember seeing that when i was younger but wasnt really into GT that much. - Are you plannin on holding one for GT5??

@ Tizzla
me a "master racer" ! - well that was not very apparent in that last event.lol I think I was in grid No2 and by the end of the 1 lap was somewhere near the back.....the Pressure!
Rypien is right - qualifying will add a whole new level to the game - can't wait.

I will be back next week for some more.
cheers guys

I know that Prancing Horse (TORC_PH) is keen for another big get together when GT5 comes out. Was good to get soo many guys turning up and it was a full on weekend of non stop racing. My bro in law and i flew down from QLD, lots of Victorians, and 4 mad kiwis comming from over the ditch. From memory Joe Racer won every race!

Shame there are not more QLDers keen on LAN's. I've had quite a few GT3 i-links, and a few GT4 LAN's at my place over the years. Some ole GTPers (whom have since moved on from GT) have been over for some good racing ....... Small_Fryz (second only to Hollo1 in his time), and VTRacing (former JGTC champion and Div1 GTP racer).

Ahh, those were the days :)

I can't wait for the LAN component of GT5P or GT5 for that matter to be included. The online racing has been great, plus I've managed to meet and race quite a few great new faces the last few months, but nothing replaces the experience of getting like minded people together for a LAN session. I'm all set for another "Trans Tasman" challenge the minute we can host it as GT5... or 5 Prologue for that matter... hurry up PD! And Joe Racer won't get it that easy this time around, I for one intend to mount a better challenge next time!. I see you listed Dan above Keith, Holl01 popped in for an informal LAN at home one night, and yes, he's as fast in person as he is online. :scared:

Looking Forward to next Monday nights racing, Front wheel drives should be an interesting change 👍

For the 'OPEN' races you can use cars that may not be able to reach the 550PP limit if you wish. if your car only tunes up to 545PP for instance, thats fine.

There seems to be a couple of cars which are streets ahead of the others, so feel free to use them, but dont be shy if you want to use something a little less dominant. Winning isnt everything :)

Oh man havent been on gtp in ages. Wish I could join you guys, the races with kiwis and aussies always were the best.

I can't even remember what its like driving on gt5 anymore though haha.

i saw you once  it was a race with the most kiwis ever! like 6, which is alot for the NZ crew.

Did a couple of races with the stock Integra the other night and found Suzuka can definately throw up some 'interesting' passing opportunities. Hopefully Monday Night will see drivers taking a reasonably careful approach to passing. Suzuka isnt as wide as Fuji, so the risk of car contact is increased. I'd definately encourage drivers to drive competitively, but remember that if a pass has a high risk attached to it, it may be worth thinking about it a bit more.

Decided to run the VW Golf for the 'Open' races, so dont expect me to be in the hunt with the faster cars. Should be good fun though 👍

I might get to a couple tonight. I won't run all of them, just gets too late for me. I'll probably run Integra in the open races. Anyone else gonna be racing? I'm sure there will be.

My connection has been really bad the last couple of days so hopefully I can connect with no trouble.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I can't record tonight - I can't seem to upload any GT5 Prologue vids to YouTube lately. :(

Please please please make sure you check the regulations for each race!

make sure you have the right car at the right time and make sure you know if you can tune it or not

Yep, I'm not going to make the same mistake twice.

Yeah, I'll be there for the first 2 or 3. And guess what, I'll be recording the races tonight! :D (If that's ok with everyone).

I really really wish you were recording that one race between PAPA, you and I yesterday.:indiff:

Sorry Joeninety, I can record, but can't upload any GT5 Prologue vids to my YouTube profile.

I will probably only do the first and second race tonight. I'm a bit sick at the moment and tired as a result. I hope my connection works tonight, worked last week. I love this Monday night racing event, it's so much fun racing a full grid of cars.

I'm in (i'll record Underbelly)

I never drive either of those cars though. Can anyone link to some tunes for the Type R and Mini? If I cant tune them in time I'll just skip race 2 & 3.

Checkout Paulies signiture, should be a link to "The Lion's Den" and you'll find the tunes in there.

Apologies to TORC_DODO in race 1. We were 2nd/3rd and I took us both out at the hairpin - forgot how bad these things brake on stock settings!

I let the whole pack passed me and drove around with my tail between my legs...

He said that he did one for the Mini yesterday.

I dunno.

He did but he hasn't posted it yet.

Sorry to TORC_peekay in race 1. I nailed him under brakes, we were 3 wide into turn 1 and that was never gonna be on.

EDIT: I"m off to bed, see ya' guys. Thanks for the races, Awesome fun.

Sorry for the lack of the Mini tune fellas.:indiff: I was about to post it up when I looked outside and hey presto, big storm coming, so I had to unplug everything. Just as well too, many electrical surges in that storm, lost power twice, and I've never seen so many lightning strikes so close to my house, we're talking like 10 less than a km away (All within half an hour too).:scared: I was going to do some races myself tonight until that storm came.:grumpy:

Thanks all - that was fun. Can I have a whinge though and ask for some earlier race times next week?

Don't forget the real states are an hour in front of you banana benders, I was falling asleep at the wheel for that last race, no doubt the kiwi's would appreciate it too.

Bit of a mixed bag tonight. Always knew that Suzuka would throw up some 'interesting' racing and it didnt disapoint.

First race saw me cop a 5 second penalty for rear ending another driver( who was in turn trying to avoid the guy in front of him). Racing incident, but no one likes seeing the big yellow seconds ticking away while drivers pass left right and centre. Went from having a good tussle in the lead pack to near the back. Had an idiot random who caused havoc on the opening lap too .... i think he hit just about everyone! Bugger

Second race in the Mini and had a touch and off into the sand. Never recovered. Bugger.

Third race in the Mini got bashed and barged by the idiot random in the Golf. Let him go and then ended up deep into the wall from a touch. Bugger.

Finally had a good incident free race number 4 in my tuned Golf GTi. Had a good tussle with TORC_PH in his Ford Focus and Whizzd64 in his Integra. Had to drive defensively for the entire last lap. Good race.

Race 5. Whizzd64 and Joe Racer were going great guns in their Integras while i held on for dear life in the Golf. Ran a few personal best laps in the VW behind these guys. 4 great laps of racing, then one of the random idiots rams me into the sand. End of the VW's podium hopes. Bugger.

Race 6. Great tussle in the stock Integras. Took the lead with a silly inside move @ 130R (the same move i was disgruntled about in another session) and ended up sliding back to 7th. From there it was bumper to bumper to the finish line. Great race apart from my brain fade @ 130R.

Thanks for the racing lads. It certainly was eventful. Now i'm off to the panel beater.
