Hey HP,

Make sure you come back before Monday nights race so you can get some rest or you may end up driving the race car below..

You called it dude, that's definitely me on Monday

Hey @VENDALISM - I have recently installed a fibre connection with plenty of bandwidth for voice too - I would like to try it out sometime, so anytime you need a proxy host with voice, I'd be happy to oblige - last nights problems were very frustrating as I couldn't get in to your room due to 'incompatibility' and no bars showing and it's always better to have mike contact with everyone.
My ping is only 4ms (was 32ms before fibre) with download bandwidth at 28Mbs and upload 8Mbs - easily enough for good racing and full comms.

Looks like there is a solid base of back ups 👍

With 4 it should be enough so let's throw it to Ven and he can run with it from here - should have enough bases covered now :D

If you have a NAT3 connection, is there any way in which you can change it to a NAT2?
My Corvette will be #88

I'm pretty sure there is mate, put NAT 3 in the GTP search bar and see what comes up, I reckon a couple of threads at least 👍

Hey Grip

Are you ok to host this Friday nights ZR1 race and if that fails we will ask greasy to host and if that fails I will Pack up the show and run over to Iracing ?

Cheers Vendal

Hi Vendal

Unfortunately I must decline hosting the race on Friday as I may have to withdraw from both the Monday and Friday racing series. I had to withdraw from the last two events before the start due to time constraints. When you originally invited me to participate I had assumed that the race start time would be pretty close to 8pm (10pm NZ) and the race would be complete by maybe 9.15pm (11.15pm NZ) - I frequently have other commitments at 9.30pm (11.30pm NZ).

Fortunately, Greasy has an even better fibre service and is geographically closer to you and the other racers, so he would be best as your proxy host.

I've enjoyed racing with you guys, nice to find good clean racers with a minimum of driver aids.

Hey Grip,

What if we rescheduled the Race Start Time to7 pm EST (9 pm NZ) and you or Greasy hosting ,with no start issues we could have the race completed by 10 pm NZ time?

How's that for a solution ? 💡💡

Cheers Vendal

Vendal

Thanks for finding a solution for me, but those changes will probably affect others quite significantly and my "window of opportunity" is from 7.45pm till 9.15pm EST. My ideal race timing would be, room open at 7.45pm, 15 mins qualifying at 8.00pm followed immediately by the race at 8.15pm. However, changing all the timings just for me seems a bit unreasonable unless this benefits everyone. I'll be at the Friday event and if Greasy's hosting is reliable there should be no need for me to bail out.

(the qualifying could be reduced to a "one flying lap" system (qualifying set to 5 mins in the setup window) which works very well in the NCR Racing League that I participate in on Sundays, and would greatly assist in fitting the race meeting into my available time)

Hey Grip,

I will propose the change of the "race start time (7:30 pm EST)"to all participating drivers in the ZR1 & GT500 series. In relation to a "one flying lap" it is impossible for any driver to demonstrate his true race pace on any specific circuit with a "one flying lap" system.

The Australian Tuning League was established to try and simulate Motor Sport Events as much possible, hence our Full Damage,Tuning Allowed, 20 min Qualifying periods & pit stop settings.

The NCR & Raceonoz type leagues are Arcade Style Racing Leagues , hence your "hot lap quali " and racing road cars on circuits that have been specifically designed and built for race cars??:D

Cheers Vendal :gtpflag:

Tight for me, I get home 6pmcst min but I'm in for it, I just might need to skip qual and start from back of grid if I'm late but that's cool.

Lads,

as we continue our search for the best possible proxy host,we will be conducting a test race run in Greasys room this Thursday night at 8 pm.

Please make sure we all attended as we all need to test our own compatibility with GREASY08 room?

Cheers Vendal

Hey HP,

Would 7:30 be more suitable for you?
Leave it at the decided time mate, I'm happy just racing and am not fussed starting from back.

Won't happen often but it might so if I'm running late I'm happy to do it and take the challenge of making my way through the pack as best I can 👍

7:30 is better for me. I catch a plane early the next morning and I get a bit more sleep 👍

Hey Lads,

GREASY07 has been kind enough to proxy host our GT500 & ZR1 race meetings for the remainder of the season,as he is connected to the :bowdown:NBN.

Please remember the new Race Start time is now 7:30 pm EST and Qualifying period is 20 minutes.

Please make sure you have sent GREASY07 a friend request so you have no issues joining us on race night?

Cheers
