Sorry, had to work a surprise double shift yesterday. I was asleep before I hit the bed last night at 10pm.

Due to the server outage tonight, we will hold open qualifying tomorrow (hopefully), and the qualifying races will be removed. Anyone that wants to race Saturday, and is unable to qualify tomorrow, will be allowed to start at the back of the starting grid.

I may not be able to make it tomorrow. If I'm not online at all on the night, you'll know I can't make it.

Last minute change for me if possible but I'm jumping in the 11 Hamlin Fedex Camry

Oh man really struggling for 10:00. Have my mum over and took liberties with TOCA. No chance of 11 at this late stage?

Will try my best

I'll do first 25 mins before Match of The Day. Think of me as Robby Gordon. Get in there, lead a lap or two maybe, and then park it up.

Couldn't see 4 people and I had a random disconnect too. Hopefully my connection will be better when I move house in the next 2 weeks and set up internet there.

Good to lead few laps in the Red Bull #83 Camry. Best of luck guys;) :)

Good fun last night guys. Nice to see the top four within quarter of a second of each other across the line after 200 laps.

Great racing with you guys. Can't wait for a Season, MustangRyan.

Really fun racing with you Americans. Shame, I couldn't quite finish the race but clocking 100 laps with the lead pack was well worth it for me. Thank you, Knelly, MustangRyan for a tremendous race.

What a fantastic race to the finish. The last four cars on track at lap 200 all finished within .242 of each other. I know we started with 9 or 10 guys, but I really can't remember in what order they dropped out of the race.

I led about 7 laps :D

I was just thankful I got your draft to so save my gas and tires. Our first stint went 60 laps because of your lead draft. Thanks for the help. 👍

Nah, you were scared of me

I was scared of the position you put yourself in and what may have occurred as a result. I backed out not because you told me to back out, even though I had the lead line, but becuase I didn't want another incident like the IROC Daytona where you decided to keep drafting and taking me out by deciding the line I was in was better than your own.

You need to learn that you can take your foot off the gas at Daytona. Let's see what happens tonight in the IROC Indy :sly: :scared:

True words Knelly, but I was not gonna wreck a 200 lap race for any of ya. 60 lap stint though? WOW.

Almeida3000 dropped out the race first after an early collision. Another last-minute joiner also quit after the Lap 15 wreck.

Furinkazen started and parked it after heading down pit lane after suffering terrible tire wear.

Chqr spun and hit the inside wall hard and decided to call it quits after around 70 laps. Thankfully, Knelly saved his race car to carry on till the finish.

It's what I do ;)

Sounds like you guys had fun. I'll be there this week or are we taking a break for a week or two? Thought I read Drop wanted a break before the regular season. I'll keep an eye on the thread.

Just putting it out there Drop, for Series 2.

Joe, myself and a couple of others have been working on the upcoming Indycar Series. One thing that we have achieved realistically, is both the solo speed and the drafting speeds, as they hit them IRL.

Research dictates at Daytona this year, there was a maximum 20 mph difference in the 500, between running solo, and the 2 car draft.

We got this to work in the Indycar by restricting both the maximum speeds and final gears, and it works.

With your series trying to be as authentic as possible as well, you may want to consider this. I'm happy to help with testing if you want to go down this route mate. Could make it even more strategic, especially on the Ovals (but would apply to Roads as well).

Nice. :)

Yep, what we've done is find the fastest speed you can reach on each track with our restrictions, then set the max speed (the one at the bottom right), the final gear, and 7th gear, so that the fastest speed you get when drafting is only a few mph faster than when running solo (ranges from 2-7 mph depending on the track). The only track that we're not actually running at realistic speeds is Indy Speedway, where our solo speeds are a second slower than real life speeds.

We've sorted out pretty much everything for the series and will soon open a signup thread in "Racing Series" for the UK and US series. The best of each series face each other in a final UK Vs US race at the end of the season. I finally worked out a good caution system to use with a pace car, so all we need to do is test it and we're good to go.

Here's the thread: Realistic IndyCar Racing Series
