Can you drive in real-life in Argentina at 14 tho? I started driving when I was 13 or 14 in America, although it was an automatic. And I would only do it in my safe neighborhood, and only when my parents were away on vacation. True.

Not really. Here you can drive at 18. I started driving becouse my dad taught me. But I drive only in safe roads.

2 days ago, I used the Audi R8 Race car for the GTWC....It's really crazy how obvious the turbo lag is on the 1st and 2nd gear. It's barely noticeable on auto, but then again, i barely drove the car around on my previous profile.

With SH tyres front and back, facing opposition like the Nissan R92 Race Car, Toyota Minolta, each race had 131 A spec race points. the Audi really struggled to keep up with the Minolta especially, but having an advantage of not making a pit stop.

I find that both manual and automatic transmissions have their uses.

In "real" life I drive a manual, but it is a pain in stop-n-go traffic. I would not mind a six-speed semi-automatic with paddle shifters and no clutch!

In GT4, I drove the first three-quarters of my game using the automatic transmission, but now use the manual transmission almost exclusively.

Semi off topic -

I also started driving when I was 14.

At first, I was only steering the car from the back seat over my parents shoulders. They had control of the brakes and accelerator. This was done only on a private dirt road leading up to a summer cottage that we rented in the summer.

The following year, I was allowed to actually drive the car down this same dirt road (about a half mile). The car was a Datsun 510 automatic, 4-door.

NOS while installed, was not allowed.

I switched to manual at ~20% game completion just to try and got stuck! :) But for arcade racing games I still use auto.
