Hot damn, looks like it's gonna be a battle at the start with everyone on softs. Especially since some Quali times don't indicate actual pace.

Yep. Think only Joe and yourself has matched his PB and was pleased with qual

That was actually my one and only PB, was my first run on softs. But yeah Im surprised I got it right, it's usually easy to lock up the rears and spin braking from high-speed.

A predictable and well balanced car probably helped. 👍

Yea close it was I slipped out my gear shift and went 6th to 5th back to 6th again down the finish straight. I should of Q'ed a 44.3 but the qualy gremlin got me again. Actually me and TnT. After pacing 44.6's all night he got caught out due to his Ds3 going thru the aging process. If you want to see tight look at TnT vs Yeratel's time for entertainment!

You guys online practicing?

My car doesn't have 200 miles yet. I'll run it at 475hp to start and hope it doesn't go over 483 by the end. Risk I'm willing to take.

Edit: Yes it does, has 204, but seems to keep climbing.

Due to an oversight in earlier posts, Calum is being permitted to switch to the Calsonic GTR chassis for the remainder of the season.

His points scored at Motegi will stay with the NSX chassis in the team points as Ghaek is a full time driver

The tires rule is a bit confusing to me.

I can start on softs, but have to complete at least 8 laps before I can put a new set of softs on? wha?

Edit: Not qualifying for this event, this race is to get my bearings.

during the race you must complete 8 full laps on mediums

Joe are you by any chance using a DFGT?

Fanatec F1 Wheel with ClubSport V2 pedal. And to make matters worse I have the rseat V3 rig

Just run the Mazda 200mi right now for 30 mins and then it's over. If your running laps in your lounge your not accumulating mileage. I think if you run you car in chase the ghost mode that does break in.

You have to run the med tires for at least 9 laps to be safe. Think of it as the 9 lap rule. Most pit strategies are like 14s 14s 14m, with one of those stints on meds. Some guys who are slow on meds may elect to run 9m, 17s 17s for example. The only way to pull of the 8 flying laps without actually doing a 9th lap is to get your meds for your last stint and finish the race on your 8 the flying lap as the ole riles state. I counted 7 different possible pit strategies that can be run here at Monza due to it being 300km long. You will see people possible diving into the pits as soon as lap 9 and guys hitting pits at 13, 14, even 17 and technically anything in between 9 to 17 is a strategy. Also I last thing we do 1 pray ace pace lap to set the standing start grid.

im sorry i ruined your race my connection was all over the place and i wasn't driving well however not all was my fualt

Ran out of fuel twice, need to check how much to put on next time.

Sorry Calum and Seth, made an Error there.

But as for Sinlader, I don't get why you tried to pass me after nearly rear ending me at turn one.

Edit: Just saw the replay, it seems you had nowhere to go Sin. Bloody big mess at t1 because someone hit the inside wall. I thought it was just a bump and run but that's not the case.

Sorry if i hit anyone at the start but from what i saw everyone in front of me lagged into turn 1. I went by and got hit by ppl getting back on track too soon.

GT 5 is starting to remind me harshly of one of the main reasons i stoped playing the game in the first place. That reason is when you have a good size fields and multiple ppl are lagging the room it desyncs the game badly. It wasnt so bad the last few races but tonight it lasted half the race for me.

Lets hope this wont be such an issue next time, start was a huge mess for both of us.
Im sure we can be further up next race.
Maybe we ought to go back to rolling starts.
