I'm back online but after 400km of racing with TnT my chassis still only shows 124mi so I'm B specing bob for the next hour See you guys at 3pm. I still hoping to get a few warm up laps before reg check!

Pit Exit Rule:

Reminder guys when you are coming out of pit lane you must not check up higher then the yellow line here Matter of fact is recommended that you try to stay close to the inner white pit exit line as possible.

sorry i my dog pulled the cable and removed the power source thus my abrupt exit
i thought the fairest action would be to red flag the race then adjust as i think rome reverse would have been a bit safer
can we have look at rules under caution to help keep on fair and level on restart

The stewards have come to a majority ruling:

There will be half points applied according to position post caution

There will be half points applied according to position at the end of the race.

There will be full success ballast applied according to final position

The next round will be Grand Valley Speedway

Just so everyone is aware

Can was infact p4. It was just a bug that placed him p1 on the screen at end.

There will not be a repeat of this situation. Cautions are only valid lap 1 sector 1. Even if Joe or I type carry on racing full speed.

I agree with this except for the full ballast based on final positions... If there are people who will gain points even though they left the race, why don't they get ballast based on that post caution position? I believe that it's unfair to those who kept going until the end...

So in my opinion there we should apply half ballast for positions post caution, and at race finish.

People who dc do not lose any ballast unless they rejoin.

Skeng has lost 0kg
Calum has lost 0kg

No comment here, plz address all questions to Zach for I had no involvement in the stewards decision to handle this matter. I will be licking my wounds and moving on to the next round, thank you to all drivers for manning this 1 out! I'm truly sorry for the drivers who are going to get caught out without no say in this matter!

Yes, but they are going to receive points for which ever position they held at caution, while without this mess they would get points for last place... which is why I'm suggesting treating both parts of the race equally...

Half points is nothing. Especially since they end up dropping to last or behind everyone that did finish. The question is when is the determined point of standings you're going by before the caution scenario?

I have taken start of lap 15 as pre caution.

I can't take post incident as a) impossible to tell
Exactly when caution called
B) Joe who did not get caught up in it was disadvantaged and lost several places

Caution was called right after Try Hard hit fresh and Joe parked next to pit straight. Try hard was gathering himself and rammed fresh, gave him damage but he continued on then caution was called by both. First by Try Hard, then by Joe. Everyone from 7th place back slowed. That was Joe in 7th, and fresh was the first to slow up to not pass him.

I think i went into the pits right before the caution . Came out behind yeratel .

Was it discussed to just run the race over ?

I know this wasnt an option on raceday because of the time .

Would of just loved to see how the actual race would of played out with strategies etc

@ skeng there's no time to rerun the race. Our schedule as is is pretty tight to gt6 release

@seth
While yes your point may be valid (I can't recollect when caution was called) joe restarted in p5 So I can't award him p7 place if he restarts p5

I feel sorry for Skeng and Calum, they had this

Excuse me, those two weren't the only ones that had this and got screwed. I was in third after SkengD went into the pits. I was 10 seconds ahead of 4th place and increasing my lead on the back of the pack. Zach and Yera were the only ones who pitted during the caution and gained a huge advantage over everyone with fresh tires. Not fair at all. Zach and Yera took advantage of the situation. There I said it. The race should have been canceled and redone.

To Zach, the caution was called on lap 14. I've said it many times already.

I paused the replay at the moment of impact between will and try hard and took those positions to be pre caution positions.

If you like I can do pre caution positions to be positions based on restart positions and inserting skeng into where he would've been

Do what you have to 👍

My origanal vote was exactly this.
No points, forget Rome existed, move on to the next race. That way no one gets an advantage. Pretty simple.
I see a disadvantage to some and an advantage to others. I do not agree with your decision. This was not put to a vote so the entire field had a say.

Hey man, I was the first of those that didnt pit under yellow and endured 30+ laps on softs going on a one stop, with good pace for once.

None of us wanted something like this to happen, in fact I wanted to pit as well but everyone was sorting themselves out.

It was a big mess but I think the points before and after caution is the best we can do. I initially wanted to cancel it as well and wrote a formal protest to Joe, but I have no issue with this.

If others have a big protest or feel they suffered a large deficit due to the events, you can always PM with reasoning.

Im all for what the majority wants .

Brought to you by the peoples choice , let the people decide maybe ?

Lol so of the 7 drivers (there's was 12 who took part so it WAS a majority) I got agreement from there's now only 3. Cool

I'm at a meeting. I'll sort this when I get back in a couple of hours

Ill be reviewing the tapes tonight when I get home from work, I'm more than certain I can find a good way to handle this. Or at least give you guys an appropriate caution period. I, telling you right now in all series that run caution periods including my Blancpain series as soon as the 2nd driver types caution period the grid freezes there. I typed so I would know where exactly. Secondly it is known In some forms of racing that you race to the start/finish line but that wasn't declared here since we haven't went over a caution period in this series. The most logical thing to do is go by the gtp renown rule of when the 2nd caution is written the grid freeze's. and objections to this?
