@ skeng there's no time to rerun the race. Our schedule as is is pretty tight to gt6 release

@seth
While yes your point may be valid (I can't recollect when caution was called) joe restarted in p5 So I can't award him p7 place if he restarts p5

I know that incident caught a few people up, but a few got through it even with damage. Stay tuned...

Okay so-

As the majority verdict now has apparently lost its verdict we will do this.

Everyone has 1 vote which they must make within 24hrs of this post.

To vote you post here

Here are the options.

We scrap the race. 0 points and no re run

We scrap the race. 0 points and re run at end of season

The race stands. Overall results only

The race stands. Split results. Half points post caution half post pre caution.

If you vote split results. Please state where you want the pre caution points to be allocated.

Please note: due to the sheer number of options a majority is unlikely. The winning vote will be the one with the most votes.

I shall reserve my vote incase there is a tie break.

Simply put there is no way to satisfy everyone for this situation. No one was in the wrong here that's why everybody arguing right now has a valid point. The only way to simplify this matter is to vote on it plan and simple.

Option 1 redo which is possible since there is a 4 wk buffer before GT6 comes out
Option 2 skip it
Option 3 leave as is

Every man has a chance to determine his fate! Very simple. We are arguing because this is a unique 1st time situation were every has a valid point!

Lol, I guess we wrote ours at the same time

All & all I will be commencing my practice for GVS starting tonight

Seth thinks half at restart (which is the positions people were in after the incident) and half post race.

Lol whose voting options we using joe?

Option 1 redo (which is possible since there is a 4 wk buffer before GT6 comes out)
Option 2 skip it with no points
Option 3 leave as is with points
Option 4 half points/ half points

A mix of all options, but the caution period/grid freeze spot still needs to be defined if that option wins the vote. But we can cross 1 bridge at a time so this gets resolved in a timely fashion.

Just a point

If we redo is this round still counted as round 10. Or will it become round 15? I'm asking this as the final round has 0 ballast applied. So if it become round 15, will all the ballast be applied from before the final round? And would the final round results add to that ballast too?

Also would we need to requalify or would the current grid remain?

Also redo would be done at the very end of the season. So our season finale would be Rome and not La Sarthe (a much better track)

Also if this round continues to be called round 10. Will the round 9 ballast be used? Or would we gain/lose ballast from round that are technically after round 10.

I guess I'm all for a redo, but my GT5 is being all slow with loading so I might not be able to compete anyway.....

Redo race this weekend. Easy as that :)

Do we need to vote on this?

People have already begun preparations for Grand Valley.

And qualifying. Are we free to requalify? What about those who didn't have time to qualify last week?

Do we need to vote on requalifying too?

I vote redo 1st of all, but the grid starts as it was at the caution period/redflag. This will keep the advantage to the drivers who initially had in the 1st place and also give the guys who slowed down a chance to get fair shot at some much deserved points. I will be able to tell you guys the grid since I was the one who typed the 2nd, or 3rd caution at that point. Either that or run it at the end of this series with the ballast we originally had for this regular round 10, and points added to drivers overall points. 1 more option is run it this weekend, run GVS next weekend, and then have no break in go straight into the next endurance round and then the schedule wont need to be altered'

-Thoughts?

as i picked the track i never stated the direction so here goes my next question
will running in reverse reduce the contact and issues at that point while still keeping fun

Redo has won the vote. By 5 to 2.

We should all have a vote in this

Vote on qualifying. Which IMO should be free to requalifying. But if a person is happy with their time they can keep it.

Vote on when to run the race. This weekend or slot it into one of our 2 week gaps. Or even end of season

Vote on if post round 9 ballast should be applied if we run a rounds until the next rerun. Or if current ballast should be applied.

We should all vote on this too.

Well i know its past time but i dont think we should tally up the votes untill everyone who wants a say has voted.

I personally dont want to redo this track its fun and i was on pace for once (in low 1.05s on raceday) but imo this track brings out the worst in ppl. I really dont want to go back.

Sorry for not saying anything earlier...

I would like to ask if there's a possibility of keeping the Oct 2nd saturday free, as I have something else scheduled as we weren't supposed to race that weekend...

As for when to race, I vote running this next weekend; I also vote on applying ballast from Round 9; and finally, I obviously vote on requalifying for this race (as I was unable to Q).

If you're redoing Rome, Seth thinks after GValley would be right. Ballast should be as it normally is for any other round since its a redo. IE- ballast total from GV forward.

I like the idea but leaves room for more tug of war. Since its a redo the race should be re done the way it left off. Same ballast, same grid order as the caution lap not the start of the race grid, etc,..

Yeratel the 2nd weekend of Oct was already schedule for a race round. Do you mean the 1st week of Oct? Pretty much we can run this next weekend and not alter the schedule, or we can run this right before Le Mans which I think isn't a bad idea so Le Mans can still be the grand finale and also not alter the current schedule. Or we can alter the schedule and still put before Le Mans but push Le Mans back so we get 2 wks to tune, or finally run it after Le Mans

As of now because we have commenced GVS practice already we are running GVS this weekend!

Grid as it were at restart. Okay. But what about tyres. I was on rs at the restart and id rather like to start on the meds

Re start the race on the tires of your original pit strategy so that way no one's strategy gets screwed up. It's pretty much a straight up redo but with the red flag grid order since that's the most fair to al drivers. Also to all since I took precaution and typed the 2nd caution I am penalizing myself and starting from the back of the pack! This will also put everyone behind me at another advantage on track and to best suit everyone for absolute fairness' 👍

Why not just start the race over including qualy so its a fresh start less confusion and less argument ?

Ya we should redo it like it never happened. Redo qualifying, same ballast we had going into Rome, and same lampung of laps
