Just getting joes approval then stewards will be picked.

The duties as a whole this season are reduced, but there's a much better system this season

You guys have 22 people who scored points last season but Joe mentioned something about only 16 cars on the grid, what happens if all 22 want in? Do you do like we did in the GT300 and run 2 rooms, or just drop people?

Actually we're always about 10 - 12

We have found that 22sign ups are needed to fill a 16 car grid.

Not all the sign ups from last season will get the chance to select cars. Only the drivers who were with us at the end of the season

Unless we can get 10drivers per room there will not be 2 rooms.

Sign ups will initially be limited to 16, but none attendance may end up with another driver taking your seat

I just did the money glitch last night and bought up every under the sun. Now not only can I get the pics for the new op, I can start testing the different tire compounds as well. TnT & I will be knocking out laps all night tonight for much needed data'

While you're doing that I'm knocking out reports lol.

Friday night (provided there's no nba) I'm gonna be back in business

Yea this week very important week indeed. I'm just glad to be getting track time, instead of doing pointless licenses test!

I hear the Money Cheat is gone, so I wont be doing the new download if that prevents it. Yes I bought all the cars, but I still need to buy Racing Tires & Turbo's since I have the power!!!

I have every car and all the tires. Imo, racing mediums give the gt500 cars the high grip theyre known for and isnt so grippy that it would turn people off. Just to let you know, after oil change each car in gt500 has 518hp you have listed.

Yea I agree, don't get me wrong the hards have more grip then GT5, but I still like the high grip levels. Also it helps bring down accidents due to dive bombing, and cars walking up tracks when clamping the brakes.

Ok fellas I got home early and today is Offically my 1st day of balancing testing. I'm going start at default then work my way out to our old regs and see where I land. If I see anyone online that I know; know that I'm coming if your lounge if your running Super GT or GT3'

Getting 1:56's and lower at Silverstone with 518hp. Probably 55's easily once tuned for the track.
Are you getting those times with the SC430's? They seem to be slower when set at the same hp as the other cars.

Right now my feelings are like this as far as Autobacs chassis goes.

'08 Models 520hp
'11 Weider 510hp
'12 HSV's 500hp
(Still need to test '06 Nismo Z & '08 NSX's)

The Hsv's are clearly way faster than the pack and with the high corner speeds they make it up for the loss in hp. The more sluggish '08 models using the extra 20 hp get out the corners better so the high corner speed of the HSV's are equalized. We're going to try as far off as 30hp and then take both results from Trail Mountain Rev to Monza, Fuji, Daytona Road, and Indy and see how the lower hp does at the high speed tracks. I still expect the HSV's to keep up in a straight line because they will always be taking the last turn with a higher rate of speed. And with all this said which ever it may be I'm still picking the HSV'

This also free's up full success ballast with all cars weighing in at the same kg. Also heavy kg is cutting it as much as hp loss does Imo. These are my 1st entry base reg's and not my final feelings on them, ultimately we will need to do pack racing in the end.

Are you adding engine stage 3 or turbo to 08 models to get 520hp? Since none of them have that with just an oil change and what about the HSV's do they have any mods?

No Actually the ranges were running are 460hp thru 490hp, its the difference of I'm paying close attn too. Ultimately we wont break 518hp unless we run Turbo 2 on all chassis, but we can make that decision later on down the road. Right now the question is HSV down 20hp or 30hp which after our test as far down as 30hp had matching trap speeds and lap times @ Daytona & Trail Mountain. Next will be the difference between SC430's & GTR's

Now that you are in the lounge we will go to some Mid DF tracks next

HSV is 519hp after oil change. GTR is 518hp. Z is something like 534hp. SC430 is 503hp? Supra is 497hp. NSX 08 base is 497 or 498hp. Stealth GTR and NSX are 545+hp after oil. I think the NSX is the best handling, well in turn-in. But the hsv is the easiest to drive. Very responsive and low torque helps with controlling the car in low speed turns like the chicane at Fuji.

Yea after tonight that HSV still runs '08 Models lap times or better at every track (Hi speed & Hi df) with 30hp less. I suggest start them weighing at 30hp less than the pack easy. (Pending you guys results next?)

I'll be working on FIA GT3 next week.
  • 4 Different Audi Models
  • 2 Nissan's GT3's (Base Model & Zurich Model)
  • 2 BMW's (Z4 & M3's)
  • 2 SLS AMG GT3

The HSV doesnt do as bad with lower power because it makes the car even more driveable. You can just mash the gas out of corners because it has no torque down low. Fresh was telling me last season the ballast just made it even better because it slowed the acceleration enough that there was no reason to feather the throttle at all. My suggestion is run 518hp with every car but the HSV runs 502hp. Thats if your tracklist has a majority of twisty tracks. If you have a Fuji, Sarthe, Indy, Daytona; theres no reason to have less power. Once you get the tuning down, the HSV doesn't have that much of an advantage.

We'll test all that out @ Winter Testing in Jan. Zach & I will give you guys the list & dates briefly. I suggest we give all guys reg's a try during,. Mine are pretty mush the same as what you wrote right above except the HSV getting robbed of slightly more hp than kg. Same direction so we'll get it spot on!
