HA, I'm still Unlocking the Game and making nothing in cash and staying up to 6am to do so. I hope Zach is right about B spec Bob kicking in after the Super license, because if not we will all have to buy our 2 chassis and bring them to Winter Testing to balance them out'

The game kept freezing on me last night , couldnt even play .

I have no idea what would cause this , would freeze when in join track or try to watch race

Very frustrating , hope it works today

Got 4 uni deadlines for next Friday so will be on for a limited time until then

I'm taking my last final tonight, but other than that I will handle the forums responsibilities until to are up on your feet. It's hard to manage series and testing during Spring & Fall semesters'

Hey guys can we get a break down on how car drivers are with breaking the game open.
Joe - Ib
TnT - S

I am hearing there is a tire bug already that ruins endurance races , looks like we need a few weeks before this game is patched and good to go

Further comments
Having now tested almost all the new tracks here are my current thoughts on specs for gt3 series
1. Willow springs is rubbish for gt racing it was board after a few laps and when you went of the car would slide for miles on the dirt.
2 the anniversary cars can be used provided they are at the base models power figures
3. The Audi isn't a bad as I first thought it is slightly unstable but providing you can be smooth-ish it quick a good tune should solve it
4. The Gtr is an odd car it's stable but doesn't exceed at anything where as the SLS is a top speed king the m3 and Audi are also quick round corners.
5. The z4 is more unstable having now started to push it more it quick but a tune may help
6. The m3 is an in between car it's good in the corners and on straights but is also slightly unstable

Having now tried theese I don't think we need additional cars and are all naturally we'll balanced in performance this means that we don't to ad just technically yet. The next stage is long distance and group testing

Oh my progress is I have all cars for joes series

I'm currently on ib and that possible list of cars for GT3 Willfred made looks like a lot of fun.

I have every gt3 and every super gt as does fresh. The cars are slower on the straights than in gt5 but the gt500's and gt300's can brake a lot later, sometimes 50meters later. For instance at Fuji F, the GT500's can brake for turn 1 right before the curbing begins on the left side of the track. If running enough downforce, the gt300's can brake about 10meters later since their speed is lower. But in order to run 1:40's or lower like they do irl, they need at least 390hp. The R8 LMS ULTRA ran a 1:39 @fuji f on hard tires with 520hp 1250kg for me but its tricky in slow speed turns. They are almost as fast as gt500's on the straight. Irl GT500 runs full fuel laps in the 1:34's and 1:35's at Fuji F. Offline times were in the high 1:35's low 1:36's with 500hp on hard tires. So the cars at that power level would be close to real life if ran on medium tires imo.

We want to ideally not touch the power
At the moment we should focus on gt3 and ignore gt500 as we need to make sure checked as many variables at all the tracks. Though it would be nice to have times close to real life I think that less important
Here's a short list of things I still need to do
Test on silverstone and apricot hill
.Come to agreement on tyres compound or compounds
.Long distance running on a few circuits
Final group test with cars tuned

Who is "we"? As far as Im aware gtplanet is a community where anyone can share their views. Also, this is the super gt thread, thats why Im talking about Super GT, which ironically has GT3's in the gt300 class. You say leave power alone, but the tests are with stock power that I just spoke of. Please read my post again, I think you lost something there.

All the testing helps and I think its way too early to make any type of decisions .

It looks like the game isnt ready for any leagues yet , well league races that involve pit stops .

The tires last very long tho so maybe a 25 lap race with 0 pit stops could work until they give us an update that fixes the tire glitch

we as in collectively
adjusting power on what is appears to be so far extremely well balanced cars is pointless
secondly this is not just a super gt thread that why we had discussion about gt3
you are right and i mis read it however i still stand by my point of not adjusting power for gt3
as far as im aware joe and zach at this stage have no plans for gt300 just so you know

Thats cool, but Im not joe or zack. I dont need to go through them to share my findings. The test times I shared are not modified except gt300, which is not even. Theres already a thread for the gt3 series that joe started up, "blancpain" I think he called it. Dont know why youre telling me not to post super gt stuff in the super gt thread, but youre posting gt3 stuff here.

because blancpain pain is seperate to this series and we will alternate on saturdays between super gt and gt3. Also the Op has "FIA GT3 & Super gt combined series" at the top.

I'm not telling you to not post gt500 stuff im just saying collectively focus on gt3 then super gt as there were more unknowns in GT3 than Super gt500. If that makes sense

Blancplain is completely different. They are spot races that follow the endurance races in real life.

At the moment we are hoping to have the cars pretty much stock. This may not be possible, but certainly what we are hoping for.

The thread will be posted end of December/beginning of January.

Season is starting late January.

By all means organise to meet etc.

Once the new thread is posted and stewards are selected joe and I will organise an unofficial test session to check room settings etc

I have the way to best solve the balancing for Super GT, but I'm driving at moment so I will explain at the release of the Autobacs car list coming up very soon. Plz keep a eye on this forum over the next 24hrs Drivers'
