The latest Autocar 0 - 100 - 0 test has been carried out and the article and results appear in this weeks Autocar (dated 28 June 2005).

I have scanned the final results table and they are attached below. Anyone wondering about the Saab's final time, well it does not have one as it failed to reach 100mph (and did only cost £100).

Anyone after previous tests should have a look in the GT4 & Brakes thread as they are linked to from the First post.

Enjoy and discuss

Regards

Already tried a fund like that, didn't quite get the 65k needed. Scaff, could you tell me which model Cerbera was used in that test, I'm thinking speed 6 or 4.5, it's not a 4.5 Red rose though because that can hit 60 in 3.7 seconds, unless they just had a bad run.

No problem, the article does not state exactly what model of Cerbera it started out as, but as you can see from the attachment below its certainly not standard.

The engine is a 4475cc V8 so that gives you a start, but its worth 500bhp and 380 lb ft, so traction off the line may have been a little difficult.

BTW live4speed, off topic but related to TVR, are you aware that Ben Samuelson (the TVR MD) has left TVR, he broke the news in the same issue of Autocar (guess you now need to get to a newsagents). he would not say exactly why, but he has deffinetly left. Very bad news for TVR in my opinion, as me was very well respected by customer, press and drivers in the Tuscan Cup (in which he raced).

It was'nt a Cerbera 4.5 Red rose then, for some reason it's slower in 0-100-0, 0-60 and 0-100. Probably just a bad run on the day.

I heared about Ben, he'll still race the TVR challenge and will continueto be respected and linked to TVRinone wayor another. MD's comeandgo, people though it'd be bad when Wheeler left and asmuch as Iliked that guy things certainly arn't bad at all at th mo for TVR.

I got the magazine today. As soon as I saw the the Ariel Atom Supercharged was in it, I knew it would take the top position. 👍

I laughed my head off at the Saab 900i which took 90 seconds to reach 100mph.

I think it was last year they had a Westfield that beat the bike.

It was a Caterham R500 Evo that beat the bike last year, I've linked the scans of last years results below.
