Reminds me of the XJ220 with its door mounted gauges.

We need more door-mounted things

I don't know why, but I kinda like the Chrysler 300M, even though it's just a glorified Dodge Intrepid.
Maybe it's because it looks infinitely better then the Intrepid.

I'd put it on being an attempt to stop the lazy badge botching and give Chrysler an actual identity. Good Choice though, those intrepids weren't horrid on the eyes either.

¿guilty pleasure?

I've heard that these are a blast to drive...when they work, which is a rare instance. Never been in one, altough they were sold here. My dad test-drove one but I couldn't go with him.

We also need more hood-mounted things, like this:

A Ford Mondeo, huh? I take it that it is some sort of sporty version of it. I once had a Mondeo owner in my street, but it was a cheap-o taxi cab. Not to mention that the owner loved to think he was a DIY mechanic, promptly thrashed the thing and left it rotting away in an area next to my house. It took a long while for him to take it to a scrapyard...

Saw one of these in Vienna for the first time last week (and a second one Slovakia the next day). Never thought much of them over the past decade or so, but they're really not bad looking beasts in the flesh. And for something much less distinctive than an Intrepid or 300C, it did stand out nicely amongst European traffic. Even in beige.

Don't know if it was a Mondeo anywhere else, in here it was the Contour, and yes, that's the SVT version. Don't remember the specifics but it was quite a sporty car back then, and they're pretty rare to see nowadays. I always liked how they looked.

Ah yes, the Contour. It is the North-American version of the first gen Mondeo, I remember seeing one of those as well when I was younger. It caught my attention because it looked different from most of the Fords I'd usually see. SVT versions sound like they were pretty nice cars to drive, but I guess the Contour's lack of sucess means that finding one will be rather difficult.

It's known for being problematic, and probably the car equivalent of flushing money down the drain, but I don't care. I'm in love!

I like Trabants as well.

He did put Bentley badges on it though

Another reason the 300C isn't the coolest car of its kind. Who are these people trying to fool with Bentley badges? This is something I know occurs with quite a few 300Cs but I don't know why. Why the Chrysler? Why the Bentley badge? Does it even work?

Anytime I mention the original MX-5 to my friends they go on how it's "a girl's car". Same with the Audi TT, Fiat 500 and Mini Cooper, maybe I just like "girly" cars.

Because they want to impress people who don't know enough about cars, and seem like they have more money than they do.

They're wrong.

It's hilarious to think that people go to those lengths to fool Average Joe. Then spend more than the cost of those badges on custom plates that completely undermine their grandiose delusions (or simply forget to remove said plates before rebadging).

I found it funny, apparently one day someone got in and said "Nice Chrysler. But why does it have Bentley badges?"

Apparently your friends are a bunch of 12 year olds who watch way too much Top Gear. But no, the whole idea of "girl's car" is wrong. Cars aren't clothes, your gender shouldn't determine, which you can own and which you can not.

Yeah, I mean let's face it. What do they drive?

My guess is nothing.

Yeah, they say they would never own an original MX-5 or a Fiat 500. Despite their childishness I am still making my first car a Fiat 500

Yeah, I mean let's face it. What do they drive?

One of those horrendously shouty plastic pedal cars?

But yes, I don't really have the notion of "girl's car" being embarassing for a man to own. Just because I see many women drive one, it doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to own a Fiat 500...

One of these friends owns (I say own as he hasn't even passed his driving test yet) a red Corsa B

Yeah, and he already has (and I quote his words) "An induction kit". Hasn't even done his test and he is already ricing up his car
Oh god, next it'll be purple flake paint and a carbon effect spoiler :indiff:

I propose a social media movement, #SaveTheCorsas
