How can you not love the VehiCROSS?
Can't stand the "cladding." The fact that it's off-color makes it stand out more which only serves to make it uglier in my eyes. I don't like these either:

About the only concession I'll make is in the case of classics with original flared fenders (that I'll add were often a gloss finish, muting the visual impact somewhat). But what does it matter what I think? To each his own.

Since GT2, I grew fond of the Neon R/T and always gave a little smile whenever I saw one.

Have to agree on that. My sentiments are also shared with the Plymouth badged version of the Neon. I don't know why, but seeing such a car with that nameplate just makes it better to me. Plymouth > Dodge (yes, I know it's the same same company)

One of the ninetiesest cars ever.

Needs the 3-spoke wheels and purple paint to really make it the most 90s car ever. But yeah, these things have always appealed to me.

A few others that popped into my head:

Mazda Xedos 6.jpg

Awful name, looks very late 90s Oldsmobile-ish (cars I'm not a huge fan of), and something of a commercial flop, but I like it for some strange reason.

Sticking with Mazda, I've always liked these.

Mazda Lantis Type R.jpg

I've always thought these were interesting looking cars, especially in that colour, and having a tiny V6 makes it more appealing. Came from the period when Mazda were making semi-interesting cars, even if these supposedly drove a bit crap and are probably a bit dire these days.

I have something of a knack for old GM stuff, and this fits the bill perfectly.

Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS.jpg

It's like it's trying really hard to be a GNX, but failing. The red stripe, along with being named after a place where it wouldn't fit in at all is so tacky that its likable in a way. Similar to that Neon R/T.

I've always liked the old RVR/Space Runner, especially the 4WD models in Sports Gear trim. Wouldn't mind having one as a runabout.

There's also the Hyper Sports Gear R which had the VR-4 powertrain and Evo-style body trim. So you get weird looks and a surprisingly good deal of power.

Of course, I'd still take the FWD Open Gear version over either of them given the chance.

Two more guilty pleasures

AND

This but in 1995 ACR form.

Actually in connection to my post on the last page my plan for purchasing the Omni was to power it with the 98 2L ECC and 3.94 5 speed from the Neon R/T.

90s SsangYong / Daewoo SUVs.

Yes. Even the Korando. Not a pretty machine, but it had such a unique look for a Jeep-inspired SUV which I admire.

On a similar note, I thought the bug-eye Ford Maverick (Nissan Terrano II) looked far better than the earlier models. And less boring than the rebadged Ford Escape that came after.

I don't even know what this forum is for, but I stumbled here somehow via Google images and had to make an account for the sheer pleasure of showing you all my personal garage:

I call shenanigans! Lies! Nobody can have a garage that awesome!

Too bad we never got those here... either of them. I'd quite like something like a Jimny but with more personality.

Best first (and likely last) post ever? Probably.

I know I've posted about this somewhere else, but this is totally the appropriate thread for it.

I've loved the Buick Enclave since it came out in '07. Unlike a lot of crossovers, this doesn't really seem to be trying to be an SUV. It's perfectly alright with being an ambiguous blob, and that's fine with me because it embodies exactly what a Buick is: a large, comfortable, quiet thing with little to no performance pretensions (not that I dislike sporty Buicks, though). I probably wouldn't ever buy an Enclave, what with there being plenty of Panthers and W140s and Tahoes in need of homes, but I'd totally take one for free (and not sell it, of course). They've definitely got a mommy-mobile stigma which is a bit of a drawback, but associated image hasn't stopped me from liking plenty of other things. I feel like one of these - or the new Lacrosse in eAssist form, another Buick I quite like - would make the perfect highway car.

Guilty pleasure? New Buick's are nice, brah. Someone at work owns one of those really little ones. Shame you can't get a real engine in it, though.

That interior is so similar to mine...

Looks every bit like a Chevrolet Nova and that's not a coincidence. It has to be said that the Pontiac has a noticably better looking front end, though.
