Just got ahold of an S2000 GT1 '04 in my UCD (The non turbo six-gear by Amuse). I've tried all three of the settings for the GT1 Turbo and found yours to be the best overall for this model, but the car still feels like it has a bit more understeer than I'd like and is a little unstable when exiting corners (as others have mentioned, some sliding when accelerating out of corners).

The only difference in the available settings that I've noticed is that the spring rate maxes out at 16.0 in front and 15.4 in back. Horsepower is a little lower at 564 but no other glaring differences between the two. I'm just looking for a little input on any minor changes I should make to reflect the slight differences between the two models. Thanks in advance if you have the time to help me out.

By the way, loved your Castrol Tom's Supra tune, handled The Ring with excellent control and gave me a great lap time.

Lamborghini Nomad Diablo GT-1 '00

This is a non-premium model. This Diablo competed in Japan in the JGTC championship. Overall there were stronger race teams in the competition but this monster car would fight for race wins on the right day.

I love this tune. I made a wee bit of an error though when I first drove it - forgot to play around with the LSD settings after turbo-charging it up to over 800hp... All fine until I buried the throttle coming out of a third gear corner, lit up the rears and pirouetted!

Have had a play, but still not entirely happy - any suggestions for LSD settings at this power level would be appreciated (though I might just de-select the turbo in future)...

Cheers!

Hi Vett'e
just gone through your setups and was surprised that some settings were similar to mine.
as you were going to set a new car, what are your procedures usually?
starting with the default tune, test it and refine it?
or firstly input your personal preference then refine?
I always do the latter.
and, which criteria will you work first for the setup?
LSD? suspension? or any other?

BTW, will you tune a FD3S?
I felt frustrated on setting it.
This is the car I always use for online racing.
just wondering how would it turn out from your hands.
The car is ready for you. (all necessary parts bought)

Looking forward to your reply.

Lamborghini LP560-4 '08

I regret not buying this car from the beginning, if only I knew I would be using it later again in A-spec. The car's first impression was understeer, after combating with the LSD and spring rates it seems the car, though not neutral, doesn't understeer as much anymore. Its definitely a quick car, but if I were to choose, then I'd pick the Ferrari 458 every time.

I cant seem to find the torque split setting where do i find it?

It's there ;)

Torque Split: 30 / 70

I'm a fan of giving the benefit of the doubt.
In which case, I assume he can read, and that he was referring to the inability to find the 'adjustment' in game.

In which case, you have to buy the part in the tuning shop, which I believe is under 'drivetrain'. Then, to adjust the torque, you'll also select 'drivetrain' when in your 'tuning' options.

I'm comparing two tunes on GT300 Cars :

Arta Garaya 08 from Avid 429 HP (added high rpm turbo)

VS

Cusco Dunlop Subaru Impreza '08 380 HP (added high rpm turbo)

I did my tests on 2 tracks, Tsukuba . Did it on Time Attack mode, all aids off except ABS to 1, offroad set as realistics and mechanical damage to stong. Racing softs were used to test both. Manual gear too. I did with both cars 10 laps on Tsukuba.

Impreza Time in Tsukuba : 53.403 (my best so far was with a 420 HP NSX Type-R in 53.950)
First impression on the car is good, that car turns madly, grip like hell and unless you're going offroad there's no way to make it move, a perfect car for constant lap. The only slight problem I had is on the last high speed corner, I had difficulty putting the car exactly where I wanted and getting the power down to the wheel.

Garaya Time in Tsukuba :52.895

Ok as soon as I launch the race, going down the last corner the car let me accelerate a lot earlier than the Subaru. However you feel also that the car is a bit less stable due to his drivetrain. Especially out of slow corner you have to take in 2nd gear.
End of first lap I get under 53' with a 52.934 but you definitely feel that the car is moving much more than the subaru. It tends to oversteer a bit out of the corner in 2nd gear. So you have to control trottle a lot more on the Garaya.

Comparing both on Tsukuba :
I feel like the Subaru would put up more regular time and is also a lot more forgiving. In the other end the Garaya will shines in hands of pro driver, the 40HP more make a lot of difference and the layout make it goes around some corner faster than the Subaru. You have to be carefull tho on trottle control with the Garaya, however on the Subaru you can just floor it up and have no trouble at all.

Result doesnt really surprise me since it's the classical MR vs AWD thing, the MR might be a little faster if you're a pro but the AWD will be a lot more forgiving and will suit a wide variety of drivers.

I'll try to update both post tomorrow with a review of both car on a bigger track. Probably gonna be Suzuka. This beeing my first review please let me know if you want something more or if you think I should make stuff differently. Thank you.

And sorry for my english.

Honda Civic Type R (EK) RM '97

This car seems to be very popular with many requests for tunes recently. This was my first car in GT5 but the only mods I did was gold paint, wheels, carbon bonnet and rear wing. It seems that many people want more from their Civic. To meet the demand for tunes I bought another civic and went to town on it. This car is tuned for only one thing: speed. This will do Suzuka in 2:06.685.

Compression: 8 / 9
Anti-roll Bars: 4 / 5

Works well with the 91 Prelude SI as well, thank you :)

Honda NSX Type R '02

By now it should be no surprise that I'm a Honda fan, so naturally I had to get my hands on the best Honda - the NSX.

This is hands down my favourite car, its not the most powerful nor the best looking, but dear god it drives good. Completely Senna approved =p Anyhow, the car is tuned with balance in mind, that said I have tuned it to slightly oversteer on corner exit.

Being my favourite car, I have obviously spent more time tuning this beast. Track time was spent on Suzuka. Fastest lap on Sports Soft was 2:08:671, whilst Soft Racing tires improved the time to a blistering 2:01:082. Had my driving been better then we can expect somewhere in the sub 2 minutes.

Honda NSX Type R '02
HP: 460
Curb Mass: 1051 kg
Weight Distribution: 40 / 60 (found this on the web, I tuned the car according to the weight distribution to achieve a balanced set up).

Requirements:
*ONLY THE BEST OF COURSE*

Aerodynamics: -- / 18
Top Speed: 270 (good for Suzuka)
Initial Torque: 22
Acceleration Sensitivity: 34
Braking Sensitivity: 40 (personal preference here.)
Ride Height: -22 / -22 (Race), -16 / -16 (Sports)
Spring Rate: 12.7 / 15.6 (Race), 9.8 / 12.9 (Sports)
Extension: 8 / 8
Compression: 7 / 6
Anti-roll Bar: 4 / 4
Camber: 2.2 / 1.8
Toe: -0.12 / 0.05
Brake Balance: 6 / 5 or 6 / 6 (personal preference again)

This car will woo your heart. Beware.

Enjoy!

Request for a lil help :)

I used this set up on the Honda HSC concept, basically the same thing as the NSX, same dimensions and such. But when i am going through a corner, you sorta pushing a little more than i'd like. any suggestion what to change to combat that?

I think it's safe to say your tunes are the best I have ever come across, and you even include different tires:crazy:. Keep up the good work, If you can do a tune for FD3S, Supra RZ, RX-8. Thanks alot!

did a 1:58.276 3rd lap with ZR-1 RM 09 (first 2 laps were 3:00 or sumfin.,..racing hard,T.C. 1,A.B.S. 1, no other aids,havent tried lap times until today.guy on page 3 or 4 said cant do a 1.56,musyt have steering wheel i believe,G25 my weapon of choice.must warm tyres too.
i think watching V8 supercar races as i do,helped me coz they have to wait till straight to put power on(low medium speed)t.
the ZR1 is the slowest car in the sand.bring a towel and get a suntan!

I'm having a great time reading through your super informative and generously offered tunes - the community around this game never ceases to impress me.

That said, I have a challenging tune for your garage:

I love the look and sound of the Lancia Stratos Rally Car '77 but find it nearly impossible to drive. I'm looking for a tarmac setup and from there I'll do snow/dirt changes on my own. PM me and I will provide the car for you to tune if you are up to the challenge!

Cheers,

Andymids.

I see that some of your tunes are only for racing hard/sports. If I use racing soft will that still work?

For Racing softs, you usually need to stiffen up the suspension, but I don't know how much, or what else is required. But Better tires will work with any tune, it just might not have the same handling characteristics.

Holy mother of god! Apologies everyone, I was out of the country for a bit! Tuning services will resume soon =)

Glad to hear you are back! I think there is a lot of interest in seeing the following tunes:

1. Formula GT
2. Peugeot 908
3. Mazda 787B

Now, back to creating magic! :)

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM '09

Well this is hands down the one of the best close-wheel racer money can buy. Not many cars even come remotely close! There have been many tunes of this car already, but this being the first few cars I bought, I took the liberty of enhancing what was already a beast into a menace.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM '09
HP: 905
Curb Mass: 1100 kg
Weight Distribution: 52 / 48

Requirements:
*Race Modification
*Every other upgrade available; purchase some racing soft and sports soft.

Aerodynamics: 34 / 46
Transmission: 360
Initial Torque: -- / 28
Acceleration Sensitivity: -- / 36
Braking Sensitivity: -- / 26
Ride Height: 1 / 1
Spring Rate: 16.5 / 15.1 (Racing Soft)
Extension: 8 / 8
Damperes: 7 / 8
Anti-roll Bars: 5 / 6
Camber: 2.4 / 2.0
Toe: -0.04 / -0.02
Brake Balance: 7 / 4

Personal best on Grandvalley and Suzuka is 1:41.385 (slowest 1:43.756) and 1:49:255 (slowest 1:50.048) respectively.

These are marked improvements, over 3 seconds faster than Adrenaline in his review and over half a second compared to my PB.

Enjoy!

Comps on the tune! Was using another tune from the forum but have since switched to yours, resulting in a much smoother-handling ride. Checking your other tunes as well.
