Next Race Predictions:

Lap 1: Both R.T. Corsa Corvettes both blow up spontaneously at the start, taking out the entire GT field and winning by default

Lap 2: All the prototypes crash into said GT wreckage, thereby ending the race

Are the tires genuine rubber or the budget Chinese plastic that we ordered with the 5 cents that we had left? :P

(And this is what happens when you try to make a team on a $5 budget)

They have rubber by-products in them... :P

Guys, I think I've found the weak link in your supply chain

As 458 said above, we had a strict $5 budget when starting this team. They were the best we could get and they apparently have 2 billion Chinese horsepower. Not sure what the conversion rate is, but we should be fine... :scared:

Well, I just did the conversion and here was the result:

2 billion Chinese HP = ERROR#)(UT(*$J(*#J(*HSF

.458.exe has stopped working

<- I've gone and put my winning face on now, though I suspect it will likely be slapped off at the next race.

Just another day in the Porsche Sport Pezzarinho garage. Our drivers are currently arguing over what order they should all finish on the podium. Mechanics all wondering whether any changes are needed, or if they should put the #2 plates back onto Mark Webber's car for the giggles.

@Jahgee considering your cars are all running the same setup, their laptimes are so varied in every session! What have you done to the car???

No idea

Report from R.T. Corsa Garage

Apparently the Prius we were supposed to get the cars to the event broke down, and when we approached the circuit... Erm...

The Priis may have slightly been parked in Billy Bob's parking space...

Tom Rockford, #43 driver: "The car is totally lame, bro! The track sucks nuts, too, man! It's like, totally sucky, man! Those turns over there... they suck, bro..."

Suzuka Tsuchigami, #44 driver: "Nothing to report here, to be completely honest. The car could be way better, but I'm sure we can bang out something before race day. The competition is just so stiff here in LMGT... it's quite nerve-wrecking to have the car classified behind you to only be less than a few milliseconds off! Haha!~"

#73, Jacob Descoteau: "The car was overall very good, much improved over Fuji. Only got caught up in traffic one time, and it was very minor, leading for us to just be off by a tenth. Starting in the middle of the pack shouldn't be too bad, all we have to do is stay out of trouble like we have done the last two races."

#74, Jan Magnussen: "We pretty much had the same scenario as the #73 car did. It's improved a lot, and we are very happy with it. Just caught up in traffic like the sister car putting us back a bit in the field. But, I'm confident in our car's reliability as we've yet to retire a race so far."

#75, Jordan Taylor Burt Middleston: "We had great pace, and had a lap that was completely traffic free, putting us up in 6th place. We're very happy, as this is the highest we've gotten any of our cars inside of the top 10 in qualifying, and it's the highest that a Corvette has gotten in qualifying this season. Bring on the race!"

Sebastien Loeb, #25: Both cars in the top 10 is good for the team, but we're still a ways off the pace of the top 2 teams. We're going to have to find some pace soon, we want to be back on the podium.

Kevin Magnussen, #26: I'm very happy with 8th place on the grid, we've shown a big improvement in pace from practice, so hopefully that translates over to the race itself. If we can bring both cars home in the points that would be a big boost to the team's championship.

Stefano di Fiorano, team director: "I'm not sure how to feel about this. On one hand, one of our cars is finally mid-pack, but it's the car that can't score points for us. We need to step our game up, because every improvement we've made has also been made by the other teams as well.

Rena Hirose, #76 driver: "Um... I knew we decided to revert back to a safer setup after how poorly practice went, but it seems like we're not getting much of anywhere. I honestly have no idea where we're going so wrong."

Jack Acid, #77 driver: "Another round, another 🤬 round courtesy of the biggest 🤬 anime harem to ever disgrace the racing scene. Where the 🤬 did that supposed 5 kilogram weight reduction go towards, slimming Emma Pergusa's fat 🤬?"

Frank Monterrey, #78 driver: "I qualified us mid-pack, that's good for a guy who does nuthin' but short track, eh? Eh? That said, who were the meat bags who held up my teammates? I'mma have a real stern talk with 'em if I find out..."

Lucky to still be on pole position, didn't make many changes so we'll be faster in race trim. The #18 once again outperforming the championship eligible runners!!!

After struggling through six hours in today's WSC race in Shanghai, the Corvette gang is happy, but far from please. Disaster struck early on when the #73 car lost its brakes and was forced to retire. Descoteau elaborates, "I was going into the hairpin when I got on the brakes. The thing is, the pedal just went to the floor. Nothing. I'm very surprised, as it's rare for us to have part failures. But, we can only improve for next race." With the #74 car qualifying the furthest back, we were very happy for it to come home in sixth, which is the highest finishing Corvette thus far into the season. And last but not least, the #75 ran mid-pack most of the race, and was able to cruise to the finish in tenth, bringing Corvette Racing two top-ten finishes in China.

Im going to run another BOP test before Sebring. I think we're close but its hard to tell when cars and setups dont perform the same at each track. Sebring is the 2nd leg of the Triple Crown so its really important everyone has a fair shot at the race.
