my widget seems to be stuck in "Loading Drivers". is this a problem on my end, or a problem with PD's servers?

Might be something off a change on PD's end or just bad luck. I am getting this at the moment, gets hung on selecting drivers. Reloads not helping.

Code:
TypeError: CONFIG.currentEvent has no properties (Race.js: Line 195)

Alright this may just be my account, but can someone log into the gt site and click start race and see if they see events. Mine has the drivers at the tp but no events to choose from.... My guess is that is why the bot is bombing out.

Hey Yonis There is a new problem =( When i try to start it up it keeps saying.

TypeError:CONFIG.currentEvent has no properties (Race.js: Line 195

Something is wrong with the remote b-spec. I tried manually starting a race, and at the event selection screen, there are zero events displayed.

The GT remote racing server is down. There are no races loading because of that.

I have an update from a test user who after receiving the device ran it for 24 hours straight:

"TEST RESULTS

24 Hours 9 minutes..... 5,596,000

You have done a very good job and it's much easier than starting the race manually every 13 minutes plus keeping the oil change !!
Brilliant piece of engineering !!"

Guys, there's a problem where the server isn't sending the race events. I'm writing a test case for this scenario right now so the Widget will catch it when it happens again.

Still working on stability fixes... Hoping this next update will seal it.

Just had a dig through their image directories and they have images for races going up to 90 minutes long. Will retool the preferences accordingly so that if the Widget comes across these new event lengths, it'll be ready...

That's brilliant Yonis....

The servers have been crap today... I finally gave up and turned off my PS3.

Will try some more after the Oscars...

Thanks for putting that out Yonis. Totally explains the "hung up" issues today!
Was watching oscars and was reloading it every 20minutes. Should have checked the boards first d'oh! :dunce:

I am receiving the same message, had been working previously. I am using the newest version.

Same here now. In other news I've earned 3 million since Thursday from remote races when I spent all my money on the Ferrari 330 and I haven't done any races except a B-spec 24 hours Le Mans.

same here. Love the widget, thanks a zill Yonis.

Spoiler alert! :sly:

Good to hear they're planning longer races, although I'm currently just running 5 minute races as they pay out more over a length of time than the current longer races.

Im getting the 195 error too, is it because they are doing something with the servers?

Can anyone load the remote rate through the website, or is it just coming up with a blank track selection ones "remote play" is clicked?

Yup, its just blank...

Not working anymore at the moment.
TypeError: CONFIG.currentEvent has no properties (Race.js: Line 195)

:indiff:

This error is because there are no race events for the widget to select. We can't run manual races through a browser, so neither will the widget. We'll have to see if the widget will need an update when the new races are put up by PD.

Just checked the gran-turismo.com website, site doesn't show any events after clicking 'remote race'. So no remote racing for now I guess...

EDIT: Need coffee first, there's a thread about this already. :P
