Remote racing is back up, I used the widget so I don't know if the selection screen has changed?

maybe a stupid question and maybe one that's already been asked, but my web browser doesn't need to be open at the gt website for this to work does it?

and what happens if my internet drops out for a couple min, will it continue trying to start a new race until it comes back, or will it stop and give me an error?

Web browser does not need to be open. :sly:

I'm not sure how internet dropping out would affect it. Even without the widget & just running a race from the PS3 there might be issues as the race is run online isn't it??
 
Using 0.9.4. I had selected short events only & it ran the 20 minute trial mountain for some reason. Then when the race finished the widget hung at Race Ended for some time, left it running & the widget did pick up this fact & tried to carry on but just got stuck again. Logs below, reloading widget now:

After reloading the widget due to the error above it's selected the 20 minute trial mountain again (short races selection was saved). Whilst this race is running I've changed the race selection in preference to long races, will see if they've somehow got mixed up with the PD changes/new widget version.
 
20 minute trial mountain again...when using the long races only option. will change to mixed selection & reload widget to see what race comes up next.

Still waiting to see what event gets selected with no specification set for long, short etc.

After 14 attempts to load drivers but being unable to (due to all my drivers being in use) the widget froze at selecting drivers with the below JSON error

Ok with widget set to races of any length I still got a 20 minute race selected, but at least it was Suzuka this time rather than Trial Mountain over & over. Anyone else had issues with the event selection under 0.9.4?

Yeah I'm having the same exact issue, it's not doing the race lengths I select and I've also got the json.parse error after 3 races.

I have selected "short races only" but he does the 20" Trial Mountain over and over, not even swapping to Suzuka or Daytona.

Not a problem more a suggestion; could the credits counter be modified so that it shows the amount your drivers actually earned instead of the overall amount of your account? The total doesn't change until you collect it from your drivers.

I found this as well, the only way to get shorter races currently is to set to "Events of any length". Then you get a mixture or short & long. I'm sure Yonis will fix the issue in the next version.

yes a reconnection attempt after an idol time of ohh so many minutes... that would be dope, Yonis think its possible??? or maybe a reload if errors read...any way, soon b spec will be back up and so will the app and we will prob. just have to meet more GT5 users and Remote it up

I've had issues when selecting specific race lengths too, setting to "Events of any length" & widget has run 10 races without hitch (7x20 min & 3x5 min races)
 
Anyone up for Remote Racing. I host about 15-30 races a day (up to 120,000Cr. per driver) and am looking to find some people who will be returning the favour by hosting races for my bobs. I will accept as long as you are prepared to return to favour.

well,...the endurance races gives you way more when racing all day now.

If you want credits, stick BOB in the dreamcar championship with an X1, he'll breeze the 1st 4 races allowing you to skip the 5th. Earns a tadge under £1m in under an hour (can't remember the exact amounts & timing). I'll carry on remote racing for people, but might only do a couple hours a day from now on.
