whoops, i was mistaken. since i just made a new account on the PS3, the g-t website hasn't recognized that i'm "friends" with my other accounts. still working for the other accounts though.

I'm thinking that there is a pre-disposed time allotment for filling slots, and any lag in the server, or through the ISP, will limit the number of cars pulled....

That's what I figured. I have that issue too at times, and then get 16 drivers again in the next race.

Otherwise, the widget is still working fine for me.
 
What a wonderful tool this was for a day and a half. Guess it all over for me now. I deleted the widgets app, reinstalled, redownloaded 1.1.3. Still receiving the incorrect login credentials window.
 
Widget v.1.1.3 login is fine here in the UK, after both the GT5 1.08 and PS3 3.60 updates, however, I am still getting the 'TEMPORARY SERVER ISSUE' error.

Seems to be working, for now. 2nd race started without error.

Was NOT working fine this morning until I manually started a race via Gran-Turismo.com. I also logged into the ps store from the same machine, which may also have shaken it loose.

Before that the widget tried repeatedly to start up a race, and it failed every time.
 
It keeps cycling between "Loading race events", "starting race", and within less than 30 seconds it goes "Race Ended" and starts over.

What on earth is happening?

I had this happened once before as well. Running one race manually from gran-turismo.com seemed to have fixed the issue for me.
 
I created a second account to run races from because I thought maybe my user list was causing problems (nearly 100 friends). Before it would take a good 30 minutes to START a race plus the 20 to run it. Now with a shorter list of just 3 friends, it runs perfectly.
 
2 nights in a row I have had the widget running overnight and both times it froze between 4 and 4:30 am EST. Not sure if it something with my network or what. I may stay up tonight and see if I can troubleshoot it.

I apologize to those who have been using my drivers. I didn't have a chance to restart it so I didn't get a lot of grinding done the last 2 nights. Sorry about that.

I'm hoping my (hopefully temporary) issue of having 223ms ping isn't much of a problem for this.

Going to call my ISP if it doesn't clear up soon.

Won't make a difference. The commands exchanged take seconds to run and nothing is sent over the network that would be effected by latency like that.
 
I guess the error I had was because I was set to "Shorter events" and... there is no Short Events anymore!

v1.1.3 running right now!
 
Man, these new events seem to earn you less money and XP.

Anyway, just noticed that if you set the option to leave at least 1 driver open, it changes the setting for all the accounts on your PS3, not just the one, you're remote racing with. All my accounts have 1 driver offline since I started suing 1.1.3 this morning.
 
Seems like I have to start almost all the races myself or I get to watch the 'server sent bad data/temporary error' loop which happens right around 'starting race' step. I've had nothing but that with versions beyond v1.0, however the .9.x version worked fine until the login update.

Much the same for me, I'm afraid. I was having success with 1.0 and have been having these TEMPORARY SERVER ISSUES in every version since then.

Now I can't even log into the Gran-Turismo website. I keep getting some kind of URL error when attempting to log in.

This blows.

to the OP: Thanks for this widget! it's totally awsome!!

I have a feature request: it would be nice to have a setting to select the most possible drivers from a given friend in priority. so when I'm using a second account to grind my main account drivers, it will select those drivers to race first then complete to fill the participant with drivers from my other friends.

I can dl but it's icon-less and when i try to open or extract it says application not found? I'm using windows 7

Did you download the Yahoo Widgets program?

Also, the widget is working fine for me right now, and 3 of my 6 Bobs are in use by others.
