Well, I am pleased to say that the new widget fired right up, selected drivers (all default settings), and started the race without a pause. VERY encouraging! I have now selected some choose all the time drivers. Let's see how the second race gets along. Well done, Yonis!

5 races now with v2.0b1

Zero problems. So far my 7 "ALWAYS USE" friends have had enough Bobs available that the widget has not resorted to the "RANDOM USE" list yet.

looking forward to this release, it'll really help.

The widget is only choosing 6 bobs out of 15, and the other 9 are always free since they only have me as a friend.
Edit: Does anybody know why this is happening? It used to fill up every spot.
Edit 2: I don't get how to enter debug mode. Is the gear menu the thing on top the widget dock?

Edit 2: Fixed it! When you send a friend request and he/she accepts it, they will instantly appear in your in-game friend list. However, if he/she just accepts it without logging on to GT5, such as if they are playing a different game or is in the XMB menu and then turns off the system, you won't be able to select any of his/her drivers through the remote race feature on the GT.com website until they log on to GT5 (you can still select the drivers manually through the game). As soon as they log on to GT5, their PS3 updates the server on Polyphony's end that the two of you are friends, giving you access to select each others' Bobs.

I'm assuming the side-bar on the GT.com website with a list of your friends is updated via the Playstation Network and the 'Remote Race' functionality is updated via the Polyphony servers, which would explain why they appear in your friend list on the GT.com website immediately but you can't access their Bobs for remote racing until they log on to GT5.

This didn't work for me. On monday it use to fill up every spot but now it doesn't.

Ok, its official. I'm getting the "not very many drivers" problem too now. On two separate accounts, the widget is only picking 5 or so drivers. When I login and start a race manually, there are many more available. It looks like the debug info for the driver selection has been turned off as well.

You have to restart GT5 and the users who you added also need to start GT5 and go online since you added them before they will show up on the site. I just did that.

Setup a new account so Notbugsbunny is me.

I've restarted the Ps3 and the widget. Had 3 friends with unused drivers and still hung. Works fine online

The Widget has entered testing phase, however. I've sent it out to everyone who supported development, either through donations or through hard work on the forums.

I anticipate a very quick beta phase and you will all have it in just a couple more days! :-)

That is great to hear :)

I just have one question, is someone who kept getting "There is nobody to race" with 1.1.3 (and have to use the updated 0.9.1), testing the beta version? If so, has there been any issues?

I would really like to be able to use v2 when it comes out and not have to stick with 0.9.1 :(

Ran another 25 races while I was at work. Glancing through the log, it had grabbed a couple of drivers from "RANDOM USE" here and there, when it couldn't fill the quota with "ALWAYS USE" friends. Perfect.

The Beta is working brilliantly for me Yonis. Brilliant work 👍, the friend selection is exactly what I hoped for. Now I can spend my PS3 time spending my virtual money and driving, while my remote mates get the full benefit when I'm away from the PS3.

Just asking, how do you get the program yourself to automatically run more than one of your drivers, or does it automatically do that?

if its that stable i would reckon we might be getting it this weekend !

I can't remember which early versions I had a bit of trouble with. v1.1.3 has been extremely stable for me, and so has the v2.0b1 beta so far.

One thing I've noticed, is I've never had trouble with filling every driver slot, like many others have

Hopefully, the full version will be available for all soon. Not trying to tease :sly:, just providing Yonis with feedback on the beta.

Set up version 2 of the widget last night after selecting some drivers into the always use category. Went to sleep got up went to work, checked on the widget and.... :scared:

The widget was running! The drivers that I selected as always use were all racing, and I happened to be in first place. 👍

TOTAL WIN right now for the widget, Yonis!!

Little problem with this, It says i have 800k to collect, but i really have only about 200 maybe, is anything to correct this so i don't get overjoyed when starting it up ?

yeah, the Cr. amount seems off for me sometimes too. collected 18.5million last week and blew it all in a couple hours, next day the widget said i still had a cool 14million, but it just "righted" itself later that day...

I think that's an issue with the GT5 My Home page taking a while to update rather than the widget. I've noticed a number of times that it hasn't updated for several hours after I've spent a million or two.

Sounds about right!

I'm pretty pleased (and kind of surprised) that it's working so well for the testers. :)

Where do you glance thru the log? On PS3 in GT5 or is this viewable thru widget/text file? Or is this in Beta 2.0 version only?

Just installed & started running widget today and it works GREAT! 👍

Why didn't I start running this weeks ago??? :grumpy:

I have one problem with 1.1.3

Most times it can't pick up all the available drivers.
It only takes 1-2 of them...

Is there solution to this problem ?

LOL, patience, patience. You really wouldn't want a piece of software that may not be 100% ready would you.
Won't belong ;)

Funny thing is, I've had no problems with 1.1.3 in over 2 weeks (knock on wood).
