Yes, Going to run it all day again :P

Ps i could use more bobs so invite me if you want me to race with you. Its a shame if i only race with 10 bobs.

Widget works great now.

Anyone else having issues loggin on to gran-turismo.com ?

I get the message "Missing return URL parameter." when I press Sign In.
 
I logged in about 3 hours before and Iam stuck to "Currently Taking Part In Remote Race" in my GT5 page.
The window for manual setting a race is stuck to "Obtaining Data to the game server" and do nothing.

The widget says "LOADING RACE" and do nothing.

Is there any way to reset my GT5 page and start again a race ?

Check so your PS3 is logged on and working, I had to restart mine an hour ago and now it works fine.

This has been a problem for a couple of months. It's due to an incompatibility issue with Internet Explorer. An alternate browser (like Google Chrome) will work no problem.

A question for the masses though. I'm using the grinder to make cash for my main account, and when I tell it to leave 0 drivers free, it seems to only pick 1 out of six, leaving 5 free. Has anyone run into this and found a solution?
 
Not sure what the issue is... you can only race one of your drivers in your race... the others are available to other people hosting races either manually or via widget. If you set to leave 0 free then you can end up taking all the avail drivers for a user and not allowing them to spread themselves across othere freinds. It can leave to all sorts of issues. I would rather see a 'max selected' drivers instead. i.e. I can say just use max 2 drivers from any other user. Then if any user in my list has a free driver he will be selected. BUT I am not going to moan as I am well happy that Yonis has written such a usefully little app :-)

I am looking for new freinds to race widget to widget. Noticed a drop off due to PSN outage and I guess some people have moved to from GT5.

You can only use one of your drivers,and all ur friends theirs.
Your friends can use all your bobs.
I know it sucks.a lot people make a 2nd account so they can use all their bobs but thats too much hassle for me.

The second account is exactly what I have done. I'm running the bob I'm allowed from the logged in account, and have my primary account as the only other one the widget can use. I've asked it to run all 6 bobs from that account, but it will only pick one. If I tell it to leave 1, it will do just that. ?
 
Quick question - I'm using the grinder at work today and have come across something...odd.

I like checking where my bob is placed and who he's racing against rather frequently and for some reason, every other race the widget isn't using my "preferred racers." Basically the 5 friends I have set to use all the time are only getting used every other race :( Any ideas as to why?

I had the same question. I have my main profile set as always race and leave 0 drivers free. It races them 3/4 of the time maybe. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Maybe in Debug? Thanks for the help.
 
I have removed some 'friends' from my PS3 as any new freinds were not being shown in the widget... so now I have few added, but I still see some who I removed ??? i.e. they are not in my PS3 freinds list anymore.

Game and widget restarted.

Sign out and log back in at the GT5 home page in your browser, then do same on the grinder widget, this worked well for me.

  • Exit GT5
  • Ensure PSN friends list is correct
  • Start up GT5
  • Log out of the GT site
  • Log back in and keep hitting F5 to refresh the page.
Eventually, the servers will all synchronize and your list will be correct.

ps: GT5 site is down in the UK right now and getting 'Temporary Server Issue' on grinder.

I think I've figured it out, it would appear that in some cases there might be an overlap. Basically, when a race ends the widget IMMEDIATELY starts trying to reserve drivers and sometimes those drivers are still marked as being used because they were in your race.

I changed my "driver reservation delay" to about half and that appears to have fixed the issue :)

I wish that would work for me, but no dice.

As it has been before the PSN outage and even now, I still can never get a full field of drivers.

I even have changed threads to 1 and the delay to the max of 25 seconds and it still didn't select a full field.

I also am using an account that I not only know dozen of drivers are availble via friends list, but so far no matter what settings I use I can never get a full field of drivers without manually doing it myself which defeats the point of the grinder.

*sigh*

I've got a problem.
When I run the grinder it gets stuck?
It stays at this:

Sometimes 'Starting Race' flicks to Race Ended and then Loading Race Events but after that it will return to 'Starting Race'
What would be a solution? Nothing happens on my PlayStation either...
