Hey,
I've got a problem.
When I run the grinder it gets stuck?
It stays at this:
Sometimes 'Starting Race' flicks to Race Ended and then Loading Race Events but after that it will return to 'Starting Race'
What would be a solution? Nothing happens on my PlayStation either...
I found mine doing this when i first started using it.. I opened the debug window (close the widget, right click the system tray icon, select debug mode, reopen widget) and I found it wasn't finding any of my friends drivers ("there is no one to race" something like that).
I started a remote race on the ps3 and then from the gt website after which the widget started finding them.. I have to do this it seems to get any new friends to be noticed by the widget.. it won't select them if i don't do a race through the ps3 and website..... I don't know if that is how it supposed to work or not.....

Wondering if any one else is having this issue today? When running the grinder, all is good-race selects, drivers are reserved, but race doesn't start. "command hasn't gone thru". I cannot start a remote race manually from GT5.com either. Says 'ready to start remote race", I can pick track and drivers, however, the "start race" button is not highlighted.

An issue of aesthetics more than technicals;
A restart of the grinder does fix the graphics, but it always returns after a race or two.
Does anyone experience this regularly?
yeah I get that from time to time as well but haven't paid much attention to how often it happens. i have noticed that all seems well with the widget at times but a race never starts. seems to happen at all phases (starting race, reserving drivers, etc). i run two simultaneous instances of the widget and only one has this problem (sadly, my main account). i've found that in trying to restart the widget, the yahoo widget app itself crashes. this has happened 3 times now since the PSN came back up.

Just a quick question, in the Preferences there is an Option to choose Race Length. Are they still valid? I only ask as in the Remote Race section of the game, they all say about 20 minutes.
Would prefer to do shot races...but then is the XP the same or less?
Trying to grind to Level 40 (currently level 33), at the moment i have an Alt Account grinding mine and some friends Drivers, doing about 20-25 races a day.

I think I've figured it out, it would appear that in some cases there might be an overlap. Basically, when a race ends the widget IMMEDIATELY starts trying to reserve drivers and sometimes those drivers are still marked as being used because they were in your race.
I changed my "driver reservation delay" to about half and that appears to have fixed the issue
Didn't fix my issues and seemed to cause more problems for me.
Only about 2/3 races ran my guys and it stopped racing all six when it did use them. It ranged from 1-5 of them but never 6. I set it back to 0 sec reservation delay so we will see.The first race since I changed it back fielded only 6 racers total and none from my always race acoount.
It was better before I started messing with it.Thanks odyss3y. Regarding the graphics; I don't find it a great issue which needs immediate attention but I'm glad to hear it's not just me.
More pressing is the fact - similar to what you mention - that races are being run (confirmed on PS3) but the grinder doesn't acknowledge this fact. This seems to happen, to me, after a few races have run successfully. The grinder simply reports it's loading a race but stays on that status until the race ends. I've had a couple, but rare, widget crashes too.

When I click your links they are taking me to an "about.blank" page. I get a yellow bar at the top of my window which I click on and press download file but still nothing. any suggestions?
Edit: Weird. My computer's problem obviously. I had to right click on the link and press open in new tab and then the download popped up.

It has to do with the maintenance but I don't understand how you can run through the website but the widget can't. I was logged in this morning and running but logged out to try Dirt 3 during the maintenance so I can't get back on now.
