You can only race 1 of your own in any race. Workaround: create a second account, friend your main account, then you can run 1 on your secondary and 6 of your primary. Ez money/XP. Bingo.

Thanks for the idea, i wil try it.

Do you know why though it only ever picks 5 other drivers (6 in total including mine)

I have 5 friends all with 6 drivers i can use but the widget only ever picks 1 of mine plus 5 others. And its always picks from the same friend?

Make sure you have set the Manage Drivers to always use the driers you want and verify how many (6) are available. Then you can add random selected drivers from other freinds if you have any left.

In my example the system will take 6 drivers each from two drivers and three drivers from the bottom account randomly. Also set the number of free drivers to as many as your friends want. I hae mine set to 0 so I can use all six as they dont do any remote racing or b-spec driving.

alright, works great on the notebook, but on my desktop machine it just keeps telling me there is nobody to race... i've started a few races from the gt website on that machine... not exactly sure what the problem is.

ok, downloaded current version of the widget. it shows ZERO friends in my friends list under manage drivers. i can start a race from the GT website on my desktop, but for some reason the GT website isn't up to date with my PS3.... i've tried clearing cookies/cache, re-downloading the widget, refreshing the gt website over and over, but it's still got me as lvl 37 a-spec (got to 38 a while ago) along with my old profile pic.

now my laptop sitting right next to me, everything is up to date and the widget works perfectly, but i'd rather use my desktop for the grinder as i leave it on all night.

any ideas?

From what I've read it seems LAPTOPS FTW!!!

yeah, except mine is set to go to sleep after a little while, thus disconnecting itself from the internet.....

that's why i want to use my desktop for the widget grinder.

Right click on the app window and click Force Reauthentication.

im stuck @ loading race events.... help please? and than it goes to temporary serve issue...

Try to start a race manually, in most cases this helps.

edit: or check if your ps3 is still connected to the internet, sometimes it looses connection ;-)

Hey, can anyone help me out? I downloaded yahoo widgets and then I clicked the B-Spec grinder link and it just comes up with a blank page.

If anyone want to add me, feel free.

I used the widget all night last night, and I doubt I ever had more than 2 of my drivers going at any one time. I only made 200,000 credit... :(.

I have it set to "reciprocate." Has any one tried to determine how well that works?

my name is in this thread somewhere, but after 138 pages names seem to get lost lol. It's Badagenda and i usually have my b spec races going constantly if anyone wants to add me.

What does Experience mean? Levels or races? (this is only from watching this video).

Could you make an option to do the drivers with the least races?

this is the message i'm getting on my laptop

Code:
Welcome to Yahoo! Widgets 4.5.2 (build 10A50) on 05/27/11 13:01:45.495

Type '/help' for help.

05/27/11 13:01:45.614: == Widget loaded. ===========================
Loaded Widget 'B-Spec Grinder' from C:\Users\Shanon Corso\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp2_B-SpecGrinder251.widget.zip\B-Spec Grinder.widget
05/27/11 13:01:46.435: API is down for maintenance. Will refresh in 5 minutes.
05/27/11 13:01:46.456: Resetting state. Waiting for 5 minute(s). Will reauthenticate.

and the widget is showing server maintanence.

on my desktop it is showing the race that i manually started via gt.com....

Edit: now widgets on both machines are showing server maintenance...

allright, well, the widget on the desktop seems to have caught up to the gt website, it's now listing all of my friends and starting a race.

let's hope it keeps going.

I wish there was a B-Spec Grinder app for Android!!!

I doubt very much I'd want to run the widget from my Android phone or tab (mainly due to battery use and potential connection issues), that's why I run (or was running) the widget on my media server, and I use(d) my Android phone to remote into my Media Server to control the widget. Actually works quite nicely like that. Full control via an Android phone, without the drawbacks of constant battery use and connectivity issues. Is definitely my most preferred setup.

One of my ideas was to have a dedicated remote client with full-size tappable buttons and so on, so you could control the Widget from your phone. I think that would be a lot easier to do, too. :)

But... then we'd be getting into a remote for your remote racing remote.

I'm having a problem with the grinder. First noticed it with 2.5, now 2.5.1. Functionally, its working perfectly. However I've added a couple friends since 2.5 and they haven't shown up on the grinder's "manage drivers" list yet. I added them 3 days ago, and as of this moment, the friend's list still hasn't updated. In GT5, if I go to profile, and to the new friends (they show in-game), they're clearly there with b-spec drivers shared. They just don't show in the grinder, and therefore are not getting selected to race.

*EDIT* Appears that they showed up on my grinder about 30 mins after posting this. odd timing. But fixed.

I can vouche for this fine chap! He B-specs like Michael Schumacher on meth... only more eloquent... and without that "spaced out" look... or the squirrels....

...you know, nevermind about that, the point is you should add this guy.
