Bad decisions by PD

I'm a huge fan of this game but some things drive me crazy and most of them are in GT auto. I hate the fact that we don't have a color pallet. Honestly whoever thought it would be a good idea to use colors from previous cars should be fired. Also the rims. This is my biggest complaint. Why arent rims available for every premium car.

Example: Choose the BMW m3 and go in the rim selection, now choose a gtr and do the same. The gtr has twice as many rims available as the m3. Why is something as simple as these two things done so horribly. Then there's the car delivery system, the used car dealership, the limited number of body kits. Some of them you have to pay close attention to see what was changed. I like this game but these stupid decisions keep me from loving it.

PD is lacking some serious common sense.

I dislike the paint thing for sure, I mean, its a paint shop... they can mix any paint you want. How else are we supposed to get paints? buy cars specifically for the paint? But thats lame. Otherwise, I'm happy.

Im hoping they fix alot of these in a patch of some kind. But seriously PD have you even bothered to think about some things before putting them in the game. For me the worst one is the paint. Why cant we just have aa bloody colour pallete!

Multiple things are missing, I don't really know what is making me feel this way but I do feel like the game is incomplete and could benefit greatly from a few improvements.

The lack of rim size annoys the heck out of me. As I can't choose individual gear ratios now () it would have been nice to alter gearing through rim size.

Agreed, the core gameplay is perfect imo, but it seems like there's a pile of placeholders that must be part of features that don't work yet. I don't doubt at all that they were forced to put it out for Thanksgiving.

That being said though, I'm much happier having it now instead of waiting even longer, the issues that exist are hardly game ruining for me.

Everytime I go to buy new rims they always look worse than the stock ones so I've decided I don't care about that feature at all. The paint thing however, is... weird to say the least. Nothing to lose sleep over though.

As I farm up credits for cars I want to collect, I'm wondering what PD was thinking by not letting us collect multiple prize cars from running the same events / championships repeatedly... unless I totally missed something.

I find it odd that you can't completelly readjust upgrades for cars. Once you buy NA lvl 3, you can't adjust it back to lvl1 or 2. I understand in real life it may be impossible to do, but this is a game. Certain restrictions just don't make sense.

The gear ratio thing is inexcusable. I can understand glitches, stuff happens, but removing something as fundemental and easy to implement as that just shows contempt for the GT fan base. Am I too dumb to adjust my own ratios, PD?

I gave my copy of Forza a run over the weekend. After two whole corners of marshmallow physics I realised why Gran Turismo is miles ahead.
My car may handle like mario karts but at least it has a fully sik paintjob bro.

BMW offers factory 19" Rims so why can't we put 19" after market rims? Especially since those rims are available for the m3 in real life. Its a stupid decision dont be ignorant. We should be allowed to choose the rims and their sizes like every single racing game has gave us the option to in the past 4 years.

i cant believe i went out and bought a ps3 for this game. i think i will be taking it and trading it in at gamestop and just get me black ops. very disappointed by this game. This game should not be called gt5, it should be called who can catch the best draft, the drafting (slipstreaming) in this game is unbelievably unrealistic. A 350 horsepower lotus espirit was outrunning my 636 horsepower zr1 by slipstreaming? I mean common seariously.

I honestly like having to collect paint colors, it adds value to the color because you cant always change on the fly. Changing wheel size, width, and tire size/pressure is far more crucial to racing. Lets hope for THAT in an update...

That has already happened, A mate of mine works at EB games and you don't wanna know how many GT5s they already traded in. Loads of friends of mine dumped the GT series due to this release, so did I. This is not gonna happen by the hundreds, but hundreds of thousands.

Gear ratios locked, damage locked, having to be a certain level to get certain cars(I have the money so whats the problem?), and most importantly, not having turbo as a option for my viper acr.
