Barbers GT500 Suzuka challenge. *Event over*

I'm not sure what practice times people are getting, but my guess would be round the 1:50 mark.... I was able to get 1:59s.

I'd definitely recommend playing around with the BB, especially on the NSX. Think I was around a mid 1:52.3 with the NSX and a low 1:52.5 with the others.

I'm generally 5-10s slower per lap than most of the people I race against in these lobby races. To be 8s off is about right for me. I can sort of see some places where I can pick up a bit, but not several seconds worth. :dopey:

I can share it with any number if needed.

Hi @GTP_Guido , amazing livery, could I actually use it for the race? Would be really nice (and if it possible, #333 would be great =)) Also, I hope this does not interfere with your livery plans @RacingGrandpa !

Looks like it's going to be a good race.

NSX looks like the fastest car but will be worse on tyres over the longer stints. The GT-R and SC430 should however be better on tyres and easier to handle on older tyres.

With the 60 minute time limit it looks like the race will be about 32ish laps long and the cars should do about 20ish laps on fuel flat out and 25ish short shifting so you will have to refuel at some point in the race.

I only did about 10 laps practice a couple of days ago, but rather than finding massive down force I was finding either under steering off the track if I didn't back off or massive over steer when I did, and typical of Suzuka, get a back wheel even a mm off track and you turn into a Whirling Durvish! I think I only managed 3 laps where I didn't spin, but I did cut another second off my time. I'm thinking under ideal conditions and with a whole lotta luck I could manage a 1:57. Most of my laps were more like 2:10 .

I'm not sure about the 2008 model, but the newer NSX has a raging thirst. During the dailies for race C's I always had to short shift just to make a 1 stop race!
