I, like most Australians are totally un-impressed with the makers of GT6 for not
including the aussie v8 supercars. After such a long wait for the Bathurst track
it is a massive slap in the face to all aussies who are shelling out hard earned bucks so we can race on our iconic track but not with our iconic v8's. What a total disgrace with total disregard for all aussie GT6 fans.

Suspecting "that other game series" might be a reason, even if there are only two V8 Supercars in it according to this: http://www.kotaku.com.au/2013/09/ba...in-forza-motorsport-5-alongside-v8-supercars/

Two cars a "getting alongside" doth not make. I guess the nearest we can make it would be in arcade or online mode using DTM or Nascar content tuned for the road.

Bathurst is probably there more for the 12 hour race, using GT3 cars, which GT6 will have quite a few of.

I like this idea. Very much. It would be the least they could do.

I wouldn't take it so personal bud.

Well, there were many of us who probably complained about having the Indianapolis Motor Speedway without IndyCar Series cars. All you get is an Indy 500... not featuring the Indy cars. Not even a Brickyard 400 for the NASCAR machines. I am surely a fan of the Australian V8 Supercar Series. While it is sad we've been using the same V8 Supercar since GT3, I do agree more of these fabulous V8 Supercar Series machines would be great for GT's lineup. At least give Holden fans something to be excited about. Maybe with the inclusion of Mercedes-Benz and Nissan, they would be nice to include as well. Maybe we'll see more V8 Supercars in the future. May never know. And if they aren't ever included, then it's not the end of the world.

There'll be a patch, for the patch, of the patch that adds a V8 Supercar by PD (like the FGT for Formula-car racing).

Been seeing a lot more "we (might) add this in a future patch" excuses for the upcoming low-feature release IMO.

It seems you might not be understanding the process that PD is trying to implement here to stace off a longer delay in releasing the game. The info is out there...

As for the OP - think for a moment about all of that DLC that will be coming out. Do you seriously think that they will have included Mt Panorama and not plan for a V8 super car pack at some point?

Even if that dosen't happen due to licensing issues (as has been suggested) then at leat you have the track - more than quite a few countries can say.

This post comes across as one of those stereotypical "I'm a hard done by Aussie bloke!". While it is a little disappointing that there may be no V8 Supercars in GT6, it's not make or break for many Australian Gran Turismo fans (including myself and many other Australians on the forum). And as others have pointed out, there's more to it than just deciding "hey, let's put this car in the game" and just doing it. There's licensing that has to happen and sometimes it's not very easy. We'll, at least, be able to re-create other races at the iconic circuit, like the Bathurst 12 Hour with the inclusion of a few more GT3 spec cars, because there's more to Australian motorsport than V8 Supercars.

That and I think they pick some cars just on looks and not any other reason.
There are so many beautiful non-Japanese cars are missing from GT that Kaz could've picked based on looks such as Pagani Zonda Cinque or Koenigsegg Agera.

I do, and it's approaching CallOfDootyDuty levels of annoyance, 12yr-olds screaming at each other through their microphones may be fine with it, But with the disappointment GT5 was upon release, Some GT Fans aren't exactly willing to wait for what-should-of-been-done to come later, or to pay for something that clearly should of been included from the start (i.e V8 Supercars for Panorama)

For the second point, they (PD) included the Indy 500 race in GT5, with no Formula cars, not even the FGT. Without proof from PD that it will happen I only see history repeating itself honestly.

And speaking of license issues, why can't they pull what they did with the FGT ?, insert a GranTurismo V8 Supercar, or include an RM option for the factory Holden's ?

Many questions, and what few answers there are are shrouded in mystery.

(I'm not looking to start another argument, but 🤬 if PD's history doesn't aggravate me.)

Very true but there are some cars that other wise don't make sense. IE '71 Mach1 Mustang?

Can we really put an end to the idea that just because FM5 has a car and GT6 doesn't, it's some sort of evil exclusive deal to lock PD out? It was an assumption with the P1, it's an assumption now.

Maybe PD will add some V8SC cars in. Maybe not. Adding the track is hardly a slap in the face though; they could've continued to ignore it.

Thanks to the NFS rivals, we know that McLaren P1 isn't exclusive to FM5 :)

Isn't there already a V8 supercar in the game? The standard Ford Falcon?

Other than that, I kinda have to agree that I am a bit disappointed that there aren't any new premium ones. :grumpy:

I have to agree with the decision, so far, not to include any V8 Supercars is questionable. At least they could make the standard Ford Falcon XR8 premium. I'm not a hardcore V8SC fan, but the more I see of the series in even short videos, the more I like it. Let's hope we don't go too long, either in GT6's lifetime, or any other GT game's lifetime, to get the V8s. And hopefully, the inclusion of the cars will be well worth the wait.

There was about 50 years of racing at Bathurst before V8 Supercars were even a thing. It started as a production car race...

And PD are including more muscles cars. Surprised no Falcon XA or '69 Mustang. No old Jaguar Touring Cars. We have the '93 Calsonic R32 but, no Base Model to make an ATCC replica. The FPV's are in GTPSP yet, missing in GT5. I dont know how that fits in licensing to have it in one game and then not the other. Kaz mentioned hed like to have more Australian cars in the game. We'll have to wait and see. Plus, we still dont know the full reason why Turn10 only have two V8 Supercars. Theres more to the story.
